absolutely loving this -- this could easily be a channel 4 or 5 documentry tv show - shame its not -- the videograghy and editing is brilliant -- very funny and amazing scenery -- and awesome to see you including your dad abit more - great fella and produced one hell of a legend -- looking forward to more

One of the last memories I had with my own dad before he passed was going on a long car journey to Ullapool & Lairg. I found this video quite emotional. Respect eddie & big up the beast 💪 😇👍

Wow, Eddie's attempt at the pipes is actually the best I have ever seen someone do their first time holding the pipes! A vast majority can't get a sound to come out of the chanter first go and to have all three drones open and doing that the first time is quite amazing. Well done!

This shouldn’t be a CZcams video, this needs to be a fully produced TV show, even if it’s published on CZcams. This is worthy of 10 hours footage, to do Justice to the bikes, Scotland and yourselves.
Plus you could do follow up series in the Pyrenees, Alps, Rockies etc.

i lost my dad suddenly 18 months ago this was his dream to ride 500 with me and my 3 brothers. please cherish every moment you have with your dad. he seems a genuine nice guy same as yourself .

i was fortunate enough to be able to camp my way around the nc500 a few years back with my family just between lockdown and my mums battle with cancer and watching this has brought back so many amazing memories and has given us both hope that one day she will have the strength again to go once more.

The sound of Bagpipes stirs ma loins.
The falls of shin is amazing. The Car park use to be an outdoors centre where you could hire out a hot tent or converted landrover to stay for the night. the food was 5*. honestly loved it. So sad to see its no longer operable.

Bagpipe is an amazing instrument and really hard to play. But Eddie has a musical affintity that was suprising.

me dad died when i was 9 so ive never had the opportunity to do something like this. all i did was cry and be a disappointment to him so i never made him proud. been to iraq and afghan since, won commendations and got his dream job so i hope ive made the cut for him. you're so lucky, i hope you know that.

Scotland is only 500 miles? That’s wild. I never realized how small they were. I can travel 500 miles within just one state in the US

I grew up on the NC500 before you tourists ruined it 😉 my dad served and often used to say “this looks just like the falklands with less sheep”.

Bag pipes are so awesome. My neighbor plays one and sometimes can hear him playing.
Also at my uncles funeral, there was a man who played bag pipes at the end and it gave me goosebumps all over my body.
The sound was very powerful.
Hearing them in person is super surprising how loud they are.

My inlaws are all in or around Ullapool. I’ve driven those roads between there and Skye and such. Narrow 2 way roads with no turn visibility. Maybe would have preferred it on a motorcycle. I wonder if they’ve made some of them bigger since the 500 route was made a thing and brought more road tourists doing it.

Eddie you're awesome! Not bad for a first time piper. I play, and they sound like a banshee's despair in the beginning. After some dedication, they teach you the sound of war and peace, inside and out. Well done!
