If we suppose that Diana Ankudinova's voice is unmatched among all people since we started having music recording technology (I don't know if that is true!), that makes it at least as unusual as one person in 10 billion. Since about 200 billion people have ever lived, we could then further speculate that in all of human history, probably no more than 20 people have had a voice like hers. And the other 19 (if the existed) were only ever heard by a small number of people!

I recommend a new artist to you - AURORA. She is not new. She is 25 year old (newer than me 😉). She is a singer, songwriter and producer. Her fourth album will come soon. She is from Norway. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements while singing are extraordinary. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back.

By the way, last year I checked and Enya is alive and well , but she is kind of a recluse (she lives in a castle with her cats - or maybe dogs) and she works on her songs regularly but I think she’s a perfectionist.
