I believe, auto-tune would actually destroy her natural sound. She presents so much timbre and vibrato and yodeling, auto-tune would level the sound to a degree, that it would sound like Alexa or a navigation device.
Would be unbearable.

Greetings from Scotland! 15yo here and she sang this phenomenal cover absolutely note perfect! Since Diana was around 5/6yo it was discovered that she had a great ear for music and was also pitch perfect, even then! She is an absolutely unique phenomenon in the world of music! A dramatic contralto with immense vocal agility and a tone quality to die for! She can hold a note for a ridiculously long time and pop between head/chest/upper and lower registers like a computer! Is there anything she can't do? If there is, it hasn't been invented yet! I felt the same way when I first heard her. Never in my life have I heard a singer that could tear out my soul (especially at 12 and 13 years old) and this girl has done it several times. It’s almost like it’s divine. You should check out her singing “Rechenka”. That girl is special.

For those who trash her she is only 15 years old here , this is a young child program called (You Are Super ) she was born May 31st 2003 . If you are jealous get a life .
Diana performed this at the age of 15. She is now 18. You can watch her progress in the show, which took place in 2021. Diana performed 9 songs in different categories there. The participants of the show, all professional singers, were also judges. The task of the organizers of the show was to take the performer out of his comfort zone and give him the task to perform a song not in his typical genre. Thank you for your kind reaction. May I recommend that you listen to a song she sang recently entitled Oh It Is Not Evening. It is a wonder song. If you look on Diana's home page on You Tube. You will find many wonderful songs. Most of them have excellent English subtitles as well.
There is no auto tune or any other special effects . Diana is a Really Rare True Contralto which is the lowest female voice . What you are hearing is DIANA period .
There are so many great performances that I can't decide on what to recommend next. Maybe her first nationally televised performance on "Voice Kids Russia"? None of the clowns turned for her. The injustice catapulted her to nationwide fame. Diana maintained her poise throughout this experience. She was 13 years old and cute as a button. Diana Ankudinova is such a supreme talent in vocals, control, emotion, and performance. She, I have read, has an extremely well-developed ability to hear pitch and has had that ability since she was a child. I can't understand how anyone could criticize this voice.

I'm so happy you found this unique talented girl! She was 14, they made a show "You are super/ Ты супер!" for kids with tormented background/left with no parental care, and they made funny, sometimes beautiful performances like dancing with sailors, etc. Then Diana entered, with voice of an Earth Goddess.
Not only the rarest contralto singing voice, her one of a generation timbre and using huge variety of singing techniques including yodeling, pliphonic singing, straight tones vibratos, use of dynamics, all in one but her stage presence, her unqiue ability to set the mood, the atmosphere, and transforms herrself into the character immdediately when on stage at age of 14?!
And since the crew was highly professional they did excellent job giving her the opportunity to shine. She took it, won that season (Season 2), and the Season 3 (Super Season where the best returned) at age of 15.
There are many many songs by her and they all amaze me do to his unique voice and style, but for me only the TV show and it's concert gave her the professional enviroment to really shine, including
background, stage director, sound engineers for audio quality, etc. etc So we can see, hear, experience her performance fully.
(Yep the image of these shows video are often copyright blocked, the workaround is crop/filter/blur/change aspect size if needed. Its a struggle, but the overall quality of these recordings worth it)

The words that I think of when I hear Diana is Intriguing and Mysterious, and Haunting. I also feel she would make a great actress because of her intense facial expressions.
I will say this .... Diana does not just sing, she opens her soul in the process of singing. Combined with a unique timbre and superb vocal control, this has a magical effect on the listener. It is so unusual that it seems like a special mission.

At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.

Hi Larry. At one point during Diana's troubled upbringing, rock bottom is just about to end when she's discovered homeless at a bus stop with a dislocated shoulder. She's given therapy and her adopted mother turned out to be the therapist. It could have gone a lot of ways and it ended up the best way possible. Hello, Chris. This was excellent. You know, I have been doing quite a bit of listening to Diana myself lately. However, I have mainly used the "Diana Ankudinova Shorts Official" channel for MY fill. These songs that we get to hear from the singing contests and all that are the tip of the ice berg so to speak, and don't give you the REAL Diana in a sense. Western hit classics are good, but listen to her do some more traditional stuff, and you will see and hear her REAL soul. That's my 2 cents at least. My respect for her as an artist has increased leaps and bounds since I discovered that channel, and through it, quite a few other channels as well. She is great, no doubt about it :-) And I believe she's still just 18 years old, so there will be lots more coming.
I feel like we live in a blessed musical era right now tbh, we're seeing a shift. Part of that shift has to do with the stellar artists coming up now, like Diana Ankudinova, Daneliya Tuleshova, Dimash Kudaibergen, Angelina Jordan, Aurora Aksnes and many more. Combined, these 5 artists haven't even reached 100 years. Artistically they have SO much in common, even though they have very different expressions and qualities.

Glad you finally got around to this one, this was my first exposure to Diana i had and my first reaction was one of confusion. At first i didnt believe the sound she was making was authentic, i was sure something was being done, some alteration to the sound she produced. It took me 6 watchings of this video before i was convinced what i was hearing was real and then it was over. I couldnt stop listening, her voice invoked emotions in me that were unexpected and strong and then i found about her as a person, her history. Like i said, it was all over at that point, she had me.
