    Superb- What a treat to see such a great example. I've always been a Mazda fan - so many of these have been abused to death or just rotted away. I have a mint 3 MPS (Speed 3) which is totally standard. As soon as salt goes on the roads in winter, the car is garaged! - Rust is the killer.

      You might be able help me. I live NZ to. Just got a 1991 Mazda 323 GLX sedan. 1.6 litre with carby model. Do you know what model this engine is? All I can find is in VIN it says BG1062 but Google gives me nothing. Do you know what 323 parts are compatible ect from different years? I have the model where the carby faces upwards so finding a intake for it seems a nightmare. The stock one is pissy

      the b6-t is actually a much stronger unit than the bp. The bp is actually just a bored out and stroked b6-t block. so they took strength out for the bp. Even a standard b6 can have a turbo slapped on with np...if you do this to a bp they shit themselves. But I feel yah on a bit of extra cc. I spent a lot of time in contact with a guy in the south island of NZ who builds BFMR and mini rally cars for beginner rally drivers. He had an amazing formula to get 300hp reliably out of the b6-t. he told me he wouldnt touch a bp as they blew up running the same power. These b6-t are the LS of mazda world. (as in strength wise)

    Hey @slownrusty i am following your radiator install, I got a bung welded for the radiator switch. But Now I am left with no place to put the old water thermo switch? (the sensor on the bottom of the oem radiator). Do i need this hooked up? or what did you do? Thanks a lot- Josh

    Hello SlowN Rusty. The GTX is looking good! How easy is it to use the LM-1? I have the wideband and thought about purchasing another wideband then using the LM-1 for both GT and GTX. The car has had a wonderful transformation and I hope you enjoy driving her as much as you enjoy working on her. Cheers!

    • @slownrusty
      @slownrusty  Před 5 lety +1

      Soca Nick - The LM1 is very easy to use, but requires a threaded bung in your downpipe or just downstream of the downpipe for an accurate analysis of your AFR. Thanks for the positive comments on the GTX, I drove it a fair bit yesterday and its fantastic once it comes on the turbo and you're in the power band. A great transformation.

    The outside body kit is nice along with the rims as well. Under the hood is clean. My first car was a 88 Mazda 323, back in 96. It seemed like I had that thing forever lol Oddly enough I’m thinking about getting another one. Do you still own this one?

    Very nice job you did there, do you still have the car? I didnt see any recent videos on your channel, what power were you running, and did the gearbox handle the power/torque? Thanks

    • @slownrusty
      @slownrusty  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, I still own this silver GTX plus I have another one (also an ‘88) that is sitting and waiting to be worked on. The last couple of upgrades I completed were the installation of KSport coil overs and a new Alcantara dash. I think the car is making about 175hp maybe a bit more and the gearbox is totally fine but I do not abuse it when I drive it or shift it

    Dude I owned a BFMR, factory air suspension, push button central diff locking, Two tone cream and gun metal grey JDM. Im in NZ its still my favourite car next to an FC. I had a legacy rs turbo and an evo intercooler. malpassi rising rate fuel pressure reg and a chipped computer. I still have the chipped computer and a bunch of parts that I took off before selling it. I have afront strut brase, 10.5mm ignition leads reconned spare injectors? Im in NZ Maybe we could do a deal and I will ship you them? I have I 2 spare computers plus the chipped one. They are all sitting in my cubboard gathering dust as one day I wanted to buy one again. Legit hit me up if you need some parts. The strut brase needs a clean up as its been in my cubboard 10 years but its a white line suspension allow unit it cost me a small fortune at the time. Gonna sub as your the first BFMR rocking youtuber ive seen.
