    Played this the other day in the studio, one of the best amps I've ever heard. Punchy and dynamic as fuck, not for the faint of heart. For an experienced player who rides the volume knob though its heaven. Congratulations!

    Beautiful! I've come to really trust Brent's ears, his
    ability to dial in the best possible sounds of an amp.
    Guitars live in the mid range, and this amp has it
    in spades... awesome! sf

    I don't really like Country Music, but I really like Brent's playing, just about everything I've heard from him. Nice demo!

    Who gave these videos so many dislikes?? Fender Trolls? I don't get it, there's no way those are natural, looks like somebody was paid to down vote them. There's nothing in the slightest objectionable about this video, either production wise or content wise (if somebody really didn't like Brent Mason or the amps, they'd have no reason to watch the video in the first place). I don't even own a Magnatone amp or anything they make (would love to, but they're out of my price range, currently), but that's just lame. Most honest reviewers that I've seen admit that these are their absolute favorite amps they've ever heard or play through. These are guys who often are known to love Fender amps, especially vintage ones (I've owned a few vintage Blackface amps, a SF Twin, and currently own a Super Sonic 60 1x12 combo that I love, favorite amp I've owned yet).
    I don't play much grinding rock anymore, lost my taste for most of it years ago (though my son and I like to jam to some Jane's Addiction or AIC tunes sometimes), so I'm way more into cleaner tones than I was when I was an impressionable High School kid who dreamt about Marshall Stacks. These amps sound amazing (in my headphones, at least!), and Brent's playing is really versatile, he's drawing from several different styles, dig hearing him through this amp. I don't know if somebody's got either a commercial or a personal beef with this company, but there's just no way those down votes are legit.

      Something about Magnatone's CEO being mean to Donald Trump.

      The only thing I can guess is that his speaking voice is sometimes not very audible. But I hear your point, there is much to love about this demo all the same. It's an amp demo of a fantastic piece of kit and he successfully conveys what needs to be conveyed.

    I doubt that is some wannabe relic tele. That looks like years of serious service. Awesome demo and amp. Thank you

    Want one. Wonder what the weight of a 1x12” is?

    What’s up with his tuners? and string tree?

    • @BluesDeville
      @BluesDeville Před rokem +1

      Those are Sperzel locking tuners for easier string changes during sessions.
      And, from my understanding, the string tree was moved, by Joe Glaser, to the B-E string like the 50's telecasters so Brent can do G bends behind the nut; but closer to the headstock for better tension at the nut for the Glaser B-Bender installed on the guitar.

    might be camera angle , but that is some seriously low action on his guitar ...

    Is it a good idea for an entire genre of music to be defined by one player for years and years? Brent is a nice player, but who besides corporate and mainstream wants the same shit for decades?

    • @BluesDeville
      @BluesDeville Před rokem +1

      There have been many players that defined the country genre over the years. There were players before and after Brent playing Tele chicken pickin' country.
