In Bathsheba's defence, that whole fiasco was 💯 on David.
Bathsheba was minding her own business, but David allowed the devil to find something to occupy his idle mind and hands. He was meant to be on the battle fields.🙄

@TheSanctifiedBabe Whaatt? Not perspectives, era. In those days, Bathsheba had NO say in the matter. David was king, she his subject. He had her brought to his palace and slept with her. In such unequal situations, only other choice would have been to refuse and be raped (eg Absalom & Tamar or Shechem & Dinah). There were no real choices in those days. Even Joseph was fortunate not to be killed and got jail when he refused the advances of his boss' wife.
We truly need this level of honesty, teaching, and transparency. Thank you.

I've seen so many "men of God" and benchwarming Christians desecrate their marriage vows and swing from one affair or marriage to another like Tarazan from tree to tree😢
If they truly feared and respected God like David, they would repent and do better.
I have everything, but was settling for less than because I didn’t feel worthy of an incredible partner. Now I’ve exchanged that for faith and I’ve surrendered my love life im not settling or even entertaining any less.. But that thought processes came from many sleepless nights, and pleading with God to show me what need to fix in myself.
A pastor that dates 3 ladies in his church & not marry any among those 3, at minimum has a discernment issues. What's there to a pastor with no spirit of discernment?

People read the Bible and do not understand context. God gives the direction. That is the pivotal point. Naomi's advice prospered a widowed Ruth in that context. It's not formulaic. Holy Spirit will personally guide & teach you. There's no substitute for personal communing with God.
When you understand that 99% of advice given on CZcams is monetized you'll take all advice through the filter of The word of God & realise its always better to hear God for yourself and then receive confirmation for what You already gleaned in your own consecration & dedication in relating with The Holy Spirit.
Black women are particularly vulnerable & gullible to man-made formulas. Trust God.
