Fantastic drive. Had my Corrado VR6 since 94 (in the UK) -- it was originally my company car. I kept it when I was fired:) Been off the road for about 6 years and currently with a mechanic giving it loads of TLC. Original rims refurbished waiting to be fitted. Already have my retro Blaupunkt radio ready to fit. Had it up to 140 mph once, for 3 minutes, in a straight line, but that's another story:)
I miss driving mine like that....someday I"ll drive her on the tail of the dragon! Parts car sounds orgasmic and the echo around the mountain amplifies the exhaust note

Nice POV of a 3.6! As an owner of a 3.6 Corrado myself i gotta say the TOD must be a blast with one. But ive only been able to drive it with my Golf R. 👍🏼
I love the sound of that 24 valve VR6 it sounds so dynamic lots of momentum, great video for sure especially at the tail of the dragon.🥳🎉
The growl in this car's midrange was awesome at 2.8L You just made it that much gnarlier!

NICE RIDE. I GOT MY CORRADO ON THE SHELF. THE STARTER WENT OUT ON IT. ITS THE ORIGINAL, LOOKING TOGET IT REBUILT. THEN INSTALLAND ITS BACKIN ACTION.

My mom just moved down the street from the tail of dragon I have not been down there yet I’m in Cincinnati. I have a mk1 tt 225 want to build a vr6turbo into it. I have a cbr bike to ride too I want to come visit this I was just there a week ago and was to busy at Dollywood

What website did you use to learn to turbocharge the vr6? Idk if I should build that or build my 1.8t into a 2.0stroker I only want around 400-500hp street power nothing to crazy but that’s a lot for 2.0
Is this in the TT? I would do the 1.8t because a big turbo and tune will be a much better bang for the buck. VR6 turbo just requires a lot of custom parts and gets expensive.
What is this engine from? Is it bored and stroked or from a different car?
I think Frank's engine would have come from a VW Touareg. VW still makes the 3.6 VR6 today in the Atlas.
What brake setup did you end up going with after doing the 3.6 swap?
I think it's a MK4 front set up with EBC brakes and Wildwoods on the rear. He is on Facebook under Corrado Alley if you want specifics.
I have 312mm with Boxster calipers up front, 256mm vented rears with ebc yellow pads all the way around.
@@RadoMattthose are the brakes I run with my 8.5” wide LMs for Wookies I use Boxster calipers which don’t fit under the 8.5” LMs
