  • The low intensity and strobe functions are not completely removed, it is just the reset interval that is shortened to 1 second i.e. after one second it goes back to high intensity.
    What you will need:
    Cutting pliers
    Longnose pliers
    Soldering gun
    Soldering wire
    Heatshring tube (7mm diameter and 3mm diameter)
    12kOhm resistor (5 Watt)
    Plastic bag
    Transparent silicone
    + relays and wire to connect it to your motorcycle

    This worked a treat, I soldered the 10K resistor across the capacitor and the high beam light is now the main light when powering on, you can still use the other modes of you flick the switch within 1sec, but it will always default to high beam after powering on. Perfect! At least I don't need to worry about strobing on coming traffic any longer.

  • @bartives4133
    @bartives4133 Před 5 lety +1

    My boards have two capacitors labeled C5 and C6. No U1 or U2 chip that I could identify. I soldered a 10K resistor to drain the C5 capacitor, one leg of the resistor to each leg of the capacitor. Works a treat. If you quickly cycle on and off all three modes, High, low, and strobe, function. Turn it on and off with a short pause and only High beam functions. A quick on-off-on gets you the low beam. A quick on-off-on-off-on gets strobe. U5 light not U7.

      Ya, I checked the layout of the board and seems almost identical except for the addition of the angel eye and ring circuit. Besides, these U5's are very inexpensive in case I do melt something.

    i took the top off the devil eye led, and the ring still works. just pried the face off, and left the chip in.

  • @raymondaleckaye3785
    @raymondaleckaye3785 Před 6 lety

    I removed the two right most legs on U2 being the +/- to this. For the devil eye, I unsoldered the top connector of the red led ( incoming power) and left the bottom connected. then i relocated the bottom wire of the two wires that feeds the angel eye, the one positioned closest to the bottom of the devil LED. I unsoldered from its position and resoldered to the point where the top devil LED connector was on the board. High beam works everytime and Angel Eye works perfectly without the red devil eye.

    So i want to put these on my ATV instead of my high beams.
    First problem that i had the lights weren't bright at all when connected to my ATV, but when i connected them straight to a battery they were very bright, is there any way to fix it?
    Also is there any way to make the angel eyes turn on when i turn on my lights at the same time or do i need to make a second switch for it?
    Um and why when i turn on strobe the angel eyes start flashing instead of the leds itsself?

    • @ferrari430sc100
      @ferrari430sc100 Před 5 lety

      Use a relay and connect the light to battery, to use the angel lights you can get a 5 pin relay and connect the angel lights to the 87A pin. But if you want that function I wouldn't connect to the battery, but instead something that's 12v and only on when key is on.

      Justin Velasco Yes, I still use it, and it works great. I don't have the wiring diagram, just find someone who knows basic electronics to help you. Basically I use a relay to serve as a power switch for the lights, just so that the lights wouldn't be on whe I turned off the ignition. Relay (an electronic switch) is fed by the power of the low beam lights, so cut into it and viola!

    Can you check the value of your resistor with the Ohm Meter? According to the color bands- its value is different. If its 12 Kohm? Also, a 5 Watts resistor is a lot more bulky that this one in your vid. In my U 7 , there are chip condensators with lower value- 4.7 uF/ 100 V and the Condensator is called C2. Should I solder a real 12 K white ceramic resistor in over the 4.7 uF C2?

      there are 12v between C1+ and ground. So i used a 1kOhm resistor. Current flowing is ~13mA. Ohm Law says that power dissipated is ~0.15Watt, so I used a 1watt resistor, only because it was already available to me. Anyway, if the light is used on a bike, the voltage can rise easily to 16Volts, so don't use resistors less than 1/2Watt
