If you want guaranteed sleep, you should watch some monotonous in cab footage of an excavator digging out a pond or culvert...that will put you to sleep pretty fast 🤣🙈
Nice free boat, the reason the water splashes over/around the front of the boat is the outboard trim is set too low, there is a pin on the engine mount that pulls out (different holes there to set it differently) and allows the bow to ride up higher with the prop pushing up a bit higher, you will find the boat is faster as well. Newer ones have electric trim with a push of a button. Good find!
He has a video of him towing his friends camper that made me laugh for 10 minutes. He does a 180 degree tow turn that will make you laugh your balls off, because you are saying to yourself - How the hell is he going to tow that camper from that direction? That is what makes it so funny, and he bends the hell out of the bumper on the camper. I laughed my balls off, that was the funnies moment I've ever seen in his videos. I never see that video coming up in a search again, but it's a classic.....

You had me laughing so hard! You might want to tilt the engine up a little bit and it will bring the bow up over the water to increase planning and decrease water resistance. Your boat is plowing - There's a pin in the motor mount that allows you to change the angle the motor sits relative to the boat. You need to move the pin out one or two holes and it'll raise the bow so it doesn't plow.
This is the best of all the Camarata videos I've seen because I've never seen him so happy and carefree. His other videos are all serious and lacking interactions with other people. Here I can get a little peek of his personality and it really shines. The F bomb is only the 2nd time I've ever heard a discouraging word on one of these which indicated to me that he's one of the guys. It makes me feel good to see him enjoy himself as much as Levi seemed to in the first boat. I started something new. When I buy a used lawnmower or whatnot. I bring along a "Bill of Sale" form and write the seller's name, the make, model and serial number of the thing I'm buying, then pay the seller after he signs it. Its my insurance against being caught with a stolen item aka adverse possession. Teak and marine plywood work well on boats and wow those drug dealers have nice boats. I was surprised that you attempted to take that first boat out without checking the lower unit oil or the condition of the gasoline because water is the one place that I can't walk home on. I wonder if the carburetors on the first boat just needed cleaning. The second boat should have a bigger bilge pump. The one in the transom looked like it came from someone's home aquarium. Down here everyone knows that B.O.A.T stands for Bust Out Another Thousand. Everything on those engines is outrageously expensive and is probably why the guy who got the first boat put another engine in it. Thanks for sharing. I'm done with the rambling on this topic.
A whole new meaning to "launch the boat"! Priceless! If you reset the motor one or two notches up, kinda like trimming the motor up, it will stop spraying so much water from the bow. Just don't set it too high it has a problem planing out. You will see an increase of speed also. ATB!
As a viewer, it'd almost be a bummer if Andrew bought a brand new piece of equipment that didn't require cleaning or fixing up. I look forward to those parts.
Would be the most boring vid on this channel .... Andrew loves to fix and repair stuff and if it old school, even better. I think he earns enough to buy a new excavator ... but this is not happening. He enjoy servicing and taking care of his stuff
@@38911bytefree Andrew has said before. Like us, with all the sensors and programs and things. The new stuff is much harder The old stuff can still be fix relatively cheap. Mechanics today are computer tech first. He loves to see it fixed. His ldea of a New truck, is 20 yrs old at least
Hey, I love your videos. This is what many do, and you reassured a group on several points. 1) Clean vs substitute a new gas tank, 2) what power wash can do, 3) knowing the basic marine engine parts.
Martin Myrdal in most motor’s, there is a pin that you can set that limits how low the motor can trim down. You set this based on the individual setup. Most new boats are set up by the dealer and is based on different factors including prop pitch and whether the nose plows etcetera. If the transom is rotten, it can flex to the point it will negate the original setting (or it could be it was changed by a previous owner). You want the bow up a bit in the beginning to get on plane... but not too much. Once up on plane, you will trim the motor up a little at a time to give a better ride and reduce fuel consumption and increase speed.
The moment you put a lifejacket on the dog, I liked a lot, right after the coolness of the socket tool in the tire. After that, you nailed in the drone and music editing thing. It's born a great CZcamsr, down to earth background, roots and great surroundings. Cheers, subscribed.
Stumbled across this video and watched the whole thing. So cool! You are a super handy guy to have around and I really enjoyed the video. So glad there was no real damage when the boat came off the trailer at the ramp! Yikes! I’m now a subscriber! 😉

Andrew : let's go pick up a free Army tank. Let's clean it and figure out why it won't start.......10 minutes later......rumbling thru NY country side. That's why I love to see your videos. Thank you Andrew
I Like your video's, can't wait to see more of the garage work. I saw the Mercury outboard motor you repaired. I saw you check the lower unit. In case your not sure about changing the gear oil. I too did it wrong before someone corrected me. The screw in the bottom is for draining, but it will not drain well at all unless you loosen the vent screw. Sort of like putting your thumb over a straw with water in it, it want drain until you release your thumb. While the vent screw is out, you pump the heavy duty oil, in from the bottom drain hole until it come out the vent. Put the vent screw back in, that will closes the flow from coming out the drain hole until you get the screw in. This may be helpful for some of your viewers who has never done it before. I found out you can't put it in the vent hole, at all. It has to go in the bottom as crazy as that sounds. Waiting to see more new video's.
yeah, that saying is gonna have to change to two days a Boat owner regrets; the day he buys a used boat then the day he sees Andrew getting it running after you gave it away for free.
One of the worst days of my life was taking a $75,000 hit on my boat after being forced to sell it due to other people not paying me. 44' 17 ton, ten berth, displacement Dutch steel river/open water cruiser. Total live aboard, shore power, Genny, 4.5kw inverters. 12v 24v 110 volt 220 volt. She never missed a beat. 3 wind surfers on the main cabin roof, 2 kayaks on the bathing platform. Pulled a 4.5m rib and two sailing dingys. Satellite TV. Dual helm. Perfectly balanced, never even needed the bow thruster. Hell no... One of the worst days of my life and I will never get back to the glorious holidays and weeks I spent there with my family and friends.
You got a boat for free and it had a Mercury engine on the back. Those Mercs were some of the best made for boating. Easy to work on, strong as hell, if you took care of them - they would last nearly forever. I had a 10 horse for a little fishing boat and a MerCruiser 50. Damn good engines. You got that thing cleaned up and did the work on the battery, fuel tank and engine. Now look at that thing - rockin'. I like the idea of putting in an inline filter.
Amazing how he doesn't loose his temper. Includes all the mistakes and can fix anything and always has time to scratch a dog behind the ears. Keep up the good work.

ATB!
This needs to be top comment.
As a viewer, it'd almost be a bummer if Andrew bought a brand new piece of equipment that didn't require cleaning or fixing up. I look forward to those parts.
Powersaw CZcamsr Human. Breaks down brand new products. To see how its made. New. Then reassemble.
Yep, I really thought the new gizmo for emptying fuel tanks would have got modified by now.
@@2H80vids I was surprised Andrew took it in the water that fast. That bein said ,he only did bc he knew he had assistance close by.
The last time I launched a boat like that , I had burned one on my way to the ramp . :)
That is the most chilling dog❤️Great trade and nice boat👍
LoL, reminds me of going to the boat ramp on Sundays and taking a chair and just watching
Good job getting Levi a life vest!
Hey, I love your videos. This is what many do, and you reassured a group on several points. 1) Clean vs substitute a new gas tank, 2) what power wash can do, 3) knowing the basic marine engine parts.
Glad I kept watching to see that epic boat launch at the end LOL 😂😂😂😂 send it brother
“I guess those are pretty rolley” or “that’s my friends boat now, I’m over it” lol best two lines of the video
This made me laugh pretty hard.
i would say more than a few unfortunately i cant take a hammer to it because most of the time its a customers lol
2491kridge so he flipped it ? Lol
“Motor works good....hold on maybe” was a good one too haha
The pitch of the motor may fix the spray problem!! aloha
I would love to see that boat take off with the trim adjusted.
You can't fix the pitch when the transom is rotted and will fall out any minute.
Can you explain this to a noob? Is it suppposed to be adjusted so the bow is lower or higher to avoid the excessive spray? Thx!
@@Cotton088 this old 65 is manual trim. There are 5 or 6 positions it could be set too, but the transom definitely needs beefed up.
I wish I had this guys patience. I'd pick up old boats every weekend
Never ceases to amaze me, youcan do it all! ps. glad you got a life jacket for Levi.
The moment you put a lifejacket on the dog, I liked a lot, right after the coolness of the socket tool in the tire. After that, you nailed in the drone and music editing thing. It's born a great CZcamsr, down to earth background, roots and great surroundings. Cheers, subscribed.
Michel Rodrigues thanks
That was the best boat launch I ever saw !!!! LMAO
Andrew: "I guess those are pretty rolly" ROFL!!
Stumbled across this video and watched the whole thing. So cool! You are a super handy guy to have around and I really enjoyed the video. So glad there was no real damage when the boat came off the trailer at the ramp! Yikes! I’m now a subscriber! 😉
My favorite kind of boat is my buddy's boat!
Ok? What's your buddy's boat
It's white, it floats, and he's the one that keeps it running. The perfect boat!
Just like kids, best kind r ones that go home at end of day
Clunk, clunk, clunk.....hmm there's something in my tire...a 6" long socket tool...."Tires good"
that part had me deadddddd it was so funny haha
@RSSS68 Camaro Thanks Camaro, I thought about that after my comment, but it looked like one of the tools I got with a Yamaha 175 Enduro tool kit.
Chainsaw Bar wrench
someone left a tool out in the rain dont know if i can take it took so long to bake it lol only a few will get this old song lol
@Camaro 1968 scrench ?
Andrew you, your family, friends and dog are awesome!
Wish l was Yong again again all the things you do takes me back,& the fun we had with a small speed boat l made my kids and dogs loved it.
I've never ever seen anyone with a chainsaw wrench in a tire haha wow.
I used to work at a tire recycling plant, I saw it all, the best one was the T bone from a steak that went right through the tire.
Ran over a cheap butter knife on a dirt road and it poked the tire all the way through the tread block into the tire causing a leak.
And the way it missed the inner seal, 1 in a million
saw a piece of straw in a tire was leaking through the straw
Hey, Free Chainsaw scrench
Hi Andrew great videos I'm big fan. There's a adjustable pin on the engine that allows you to trim bring the bow up take care the the spray problem.
Super cool vids! Thanks for taking the time to showcase your exploits and expertise! Car seat for the win!
Really good note on the old diaphragm fuel pumps👍.
Great drone filming!
Watching Andrew turn something old and used into something usefull reminds me of my Dad he never purchased anything new from vehicles to lawnmowers old tractors and we used the things he refurbished for years or untill he sold it thanks Andrew love your videos
My son died at 24 years old. Your family is blessed to have you. I know you and your dad are close. Thats great. He is a lucky dad. Have a blessed day. Great videos. Thanks for sharing. I watch them all.
@keelinga thank you. We lost David our only child. Became foster parents of 47kiddos. Adopted our daughter and another son. We are blessed.
Hey man I love watching you bring these things back to life.I think i might start picking some up i know where some are lol. Thanks for sharing these videos with us
Your videos are seriously fantastic. You're not too far off a million subs too. You totally deserve it.
I come for Andrew, and stay for Levi!!!!
Never seen a whole scrench in a tire and never seen anyone yank one out and keep driving.
Levi that life jacket looks good.
🇺🇸
Here the power of been confident, positive thinker, not a winer, optimistic.
Nothing this guy can't solve!!
Gladly subbed!!
Andrew : let's go pick up a free Army tank. Let's clean it and figure out why it won't start.......10 minutes later......rumbling thru NY country side. That's why I love to see your videos. Thank you Andrew
when adrew put "buying" on the title that mean the adventure begin.
Sooooo true.
I always feel I got something
accomplished after Andrew gets stuff fixed . 😎👍👍
Cool boat and a very calm sweet dog.I spent some time in the adirondacks in NY catching 32-45 inch pike during the first week of may or opening day.
LEVI DOING QUALITY TEST OF WATER!
As long as it's wet, it's fine by Levi.

I am so happy with the more frequent uploads, finnaly something good to watch in my subscriber feed, Andrew Camarata IS THE BEST
34:31 hmmm..... never seen this method of boat launching. This must be a new technique!! Lmao 😂
Go to any Marina on a Sunday and you'll see FAR worse every 20 minutes.
@@shaenj Even less lmao
it was a slipway launch......
Ha ha a bit of ramp rash and it gets rid of the barnacles
Damn it was so satisfying to watch you restore and clean that boat and make it work good job
12:20 Probably the most oddly satisfying thing I've seen in a while!
Boat owner’s two favorite days:
The day he buys it, and the day he sells it 😂
User name checks.
yeah, that saying is gonna have to change to two days a Boat owner regrets; the day he buys a used boat then the day he sees Andrew getting it running after you gave it away for free.
@Mr. Boring on CZcams, wrong. You've never owned a boat have you?
If you use them regularly and maintain them they aren’t that bad
I like the idea of putting in an inline filter.
did not go that smooth - well said --- LOL - great job, love those old Merc's we had a 65 of the same vintage growing up..
