I was 22 when I got together with my 57 year old boyfriend. We met at the bar and he was in a rough spot. He was living at my house for a few months and we would do everything together. It was lots of fun, going to clubs, dancing, movies, restaurants, out of town trips and fun in the bed was incredible. It broke my heart when he decided to end it because of our age. I understand that some gays are into older than them because some aren't for hookup culture in this generation, and it's kinda difficult to find for a serious monogamous relationship to settle down, spend their life together, it's just rare nowadays.
as someone who is 26 and hasn't been in any relationship, it's a dream to find someone who is a traditional or old school when it comes to love and dating, though it's not everyone's cup of tea but I do understand.

I am bi but truly have realized that if my rural Midwest upbringing and societal norms were more accepting of being gay, I probably would not have married a woman but married a man. Let’s be honest: if Mike wasn’t physically fit, well dressed, and not of a certain socioeconomic status there is no way Aaron would be attracted to him. Yes, love is love but there is an entire package that Mike comes with which makes being in-love so much easier. We can tell ourselves a lot of things when the road is easy. This is a “surface” relationship caught up in s*x, looking good, traveling, convincing the world they have it all; they’ve not yet had to deal with some harsh realities of growing older can bring or serious issues that come to every marriage. I do wish them well, honestly, but this is not a realistic relationship.

I feel age should be irrelevant. My first husband was 13 years older.. We only had 10 years together but were together till his passing . I have had relationships with men 20 and 30 years older and 20 years younger. As for under age. It depends on the individual. I was a very mature teen, a music prodigy and already working and making a good income when I met my husband at age 15. We were together for 10 years. One of my friends from my youth was a 20 year old dental hygienist and her husband was 35 years older. They were happily married for nearly 40 years till his passing.
