I have such a fondness for Bert. His role as Kato in the Pink Panther movies is such a classic, and it gives me joy whenever I see those movies.

This video is a treasure....there doesn't seem to be alot of coverage on Burt Kwouk.

Interesting perspective about Sellers' famous on-set delays. I can see how admitting his heart was troubling him would have made being insured very difficult! In several interviews, outtakes, bloopers, Sellers appears to be an extremely agreeable guy, not the monster I've read about in books. For that matter, Kwouk also seems very pleasant here, the kind of bloke you could have an ale with in a neighborhood pub!

Sad to hear of Burt's passing. I remember him so well from The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, which I went to see in 1959, when I was a 12 years old boy. Barry Littlechild, who's interviewing him here, passed away himself in April, 2016, at the age of 69. So they're both gone now and within a month of each other.

1964's "A Shot In the Dark," was the second time Sellers played Clouseau. It was the first time we met Dreyfus (Herbot Lom) and Cato, and it was co written by William Peter Blatty, who would later give "The Exorcist"!

Cato Fong in the flesh. Will always be remembered as the asian manservant to the bumbling mustached karate chopping Clouseau.

He and Sellers are still funny in those films when together, but the Cousteau movies aged poorly. They are sadly dull now.
