Finding out that Archy-pelago wasn't a gimmick and Simpleflips had legitimately just never heard the word Archipelago before rocked me to the core.

I was thinking about the question posed at 43:30 by Chris. Given the 2.5-gram weight of a modern penny, doubling every day for a month would net you a penny that weighs ~5918 tons. 5770 tons of that weight would be zinc, and 148 tons would be copper. Selling the penny for its materials with today's prices would get you ~$14,625,000 from the zinc, and ~$1,314,750 from the copper, or a combined total of almost 16 Million dollars. However, if you were to do this with a 1962-1982 penny, you would end up with a net profit of around ~$63,063,000!!

Archipelago is a really cool type of randomizer, and it really meshes well with simpleflips' "i can tie my shoes" energy, and i think thats really cool too

Hey simple since you mentioned being interested in being overseas for a few months, I strongly recommend looking into what if any overseas study opportunities your college has since you can get credits and go overseas at the same time, and also a lot of colleges that have oversea opportunities have scholarships for them too
Yeah Germany has tuition-free universities if he wants to learn a bit of German anyway.

Hi Simple! I bought Half a Car both to upgrade my set-up and to help support my favorite creator :3 I will say that they don't come with any WiFi cards at all, which seems like an error. Wanted to make sure you were aware of that! :)
I don't use wifi on gaming desktops so I wasn't aware of that - I think it's a customization option at checkout? You would ideally be wired for any gaming stuff but I hear where you're coming from and I'm sorry it's not bundled at default it's that's the consumer expectation.

If I had any form of wiring available where I have my PC, I'd use cables over Wifi, but my room's completely devoid, so gotta make do
Have you tried a powerline adapter? That's how I get I've set up my ethernet, works much better than the WiFi did.
Usually WiFi is not expected from a PC unless it's in the parts list. The default Motherboard that comes with half a car doesn't have WiFi built in but the two upgraded options do.
The issue is apex's PCs and parts prices are insanely high for what they are and they don't obviously disclose what parts come with what features which can lead to customer confusion.
If you want to have WiFi and you got a MoBo that doesn't support it you can buy basically any PCIE or USB wifi adapter you want and just plug them in. They'll work.
Just as an example for their horrendous pricing.
The difference in price between a ryzen 5 5500 and ryzen 5 5600 new in box is only around $30 but they charge you an additional $125 which is insane. For those 250$ they're charging you for the CPU you could get a 5800x from different vendors which is basically twice as good as the 5600 they're giving you.
All their motherboards and etc. Are similar levels of insane in pricing

As someone who has been doing archipelago randomizers for a long time now, seeing Simple do one is a total dream come true. I hope he explores all the cool stuff the randomizer has to offer with tons of people!
Me and the friend group are actively exploring Archipelago atm as well, and the schmovement denied whiplash was just as good as I imagined it would be when I saw this vid.
It's WILD booting into the game and realizing you can't do the tamest stars, like JRB Reds, without some kind of movement unlock first.

I did an Archipelago run of Starcraft 2, and it was really fun. I had to do the second Protoss mission with only Carriers and Immortals if I recall.

Congrats about how well your year's been going! I graduated Magna Cum Laude last year and came back in for a Masters degree. I'd definitely recommend keeping track of yourself and making sure you don't overdo it stress-wise, but you seem like the kind of guy who's determined enough to be able to make whatever happens happen.

I would like to point out that Simply went out of logic to grab the Chain Chomp gate Star, he needed his Ground Pound to do it in Logic, and its revealed his Ground Pound was the DDD Red Coins lol. So Chrism would have had to wait FOREVER to get a Dive normally.
