- What a shame as she ran very good......and that's why I always check the compression and oil after running it for awhile just to be sure everything is good on the inside too. This engine did have cracked manifolds but no cracks on the outside of the block. Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes not.
Here in Northern Europe block cracks are a way of life through freezing , running on raw water. GM, wether MC or Volvo , V6 or V8 they take no prisoners and often don't show until hot. Many a 'new owner' have found that to their cost.
odds are there is a crack in the bottom of the intake too where the coolant flows below the carb, usually don't have one without the other
Working on one for a customer and his was cracked in the valley same as this one. Found a new block and got it all rebuilt. Fixing to put it in the boat after i get everything assembled
Were can I find a simple wiring diagram to test start and run like this?
I would have thought this motor to be a roller motor was surprised to see it as a flat lifter
I know it’s been nine months but did you sell the exhaust manifold.
Just like the Ford 351 Clevelands, cracking in the valley due to freezing.
How to start without contact slot
Hey I'm looking for a block of this size and this model withc is a1997 any Idea we're can I get a used one my badge is not to open for a new one if you know about bone or someone has one please get with me for all thank you
Can anybody tell me why my relleller smokes like black and white smoke thanks
Thats sad. I rebuild my 6.2 and I know how much work is in such an engine. Greetings from germany
I just built a new 4.3 L MerCruiser what oil should I use since it’s brand new
You built an engine but you don’t know what kind of oil it requires. Somehow I don’t think it’s going to matter much.
You swell all of your parts yet?
Hi guy, i have a 4.3 L mercuiser engine too, but I dont what is the past number of elbow and menifold, would you let me know . Much appreciated.
Can you tell me the order of the cables to the distributor helmet?
1,6,5,4,3,2
I know the major cause of cracked blocks is abuse and neglect by the owners , but I can't help but wonder . Do you see more Mercruisers with cracked blocks or Volvo Pentas with cracked blocks ?
Ive seen guy cut v channels then JB weld them and have good results.
need at least a light
It’s funny I’m here cause someone sold us a blown engine
Just happened to me too. Engine block has a huge jb weld patch under the intake
@@jsolo7576 did it leak!? Lol if done correctly it will be fine.i have fixed several
@@markmcmahen9442 yea it did. Water mixed with fresh oil after operating the boat for about 30 mins
@@jsolo7576 sry that is not fun. I drill on each side of all the cracks, grind along them pretty deep with an aggressive Dremel bit Making sure it's free of oil and then coat it. I guess prep is a big part or I'm lucky. Lol I'm doing another 4.3 now and hopefully it works out. Thanks for the reply
camera is shacking more then motor itself
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hey
Sorry, this is my wife's channel........with the battery connected, just run a hot wire to the positive side of the coil, you could then use a screw driver to by-pass the solenoid.
That's some pretty bad lighting dude lol
Can’t see what you’re looking at. Poorly shot video. Out of focus, shaky, no lighting. Shame as explanation quite good.
Seal it and run it
Wow, in focus once, terrible video.
