The reason no flat-earther will describe what shape they think the Earth actually is, is so that they can always move the goalposts. If they produced a map or a model for their version of the flat-earth, then it could be tested and disproven. But if they don't state their position, then they haven't produced enough information to be definitively debunked and can always accuse scientists of attacking a straw-man instead of 'what they actually believe'

Look up Atmospheric Extinction. It's not what it sounds like, it's the degree to which the atmosphere interferes with light propagation. Enough atmosphere can make stars appear dimmer, and that suggests there's an atmospheric limit to how far one can see. But that limit requires atmosphere _all the way_ to the subject. To see the sun we only look through a few miles of atmosphere.
On flat earth, your view would become more and more obscured by atmosphere as it approached the horizon because you're looking through _thousands of miles of air,_ something you can't do on a spherical earth. So you cannot have a sharp horizon on a flat earth, instead the horizon becomes the "color of the air" and blends into the sky and ground.

To put it mildly, there is a large category of arguments regarding the difficulties of reconciling what we can and cannot see with a flat earth model. Some of this is due to what's essentially magic (the earth and moon and stars). But a ton of this is handled by what Parallax declared as aspects of Perspective. It would be fair to suggest that Parallax invented a system of how light supposedly works that no optics company would touch with a ten-foot pole. You absolutely can't detect the left to right curve of the horizon with your naked eye from 10' above sea level. At that height, the horizon is about 4.18 miles away (without refraction). If we give you a generous index of refraction, the horizon might appear as much as 4.5 miles away. A human's full field of view is a little under 180°. If we give you the full 180° and a distance to the horizon of 4.5 miles, it's pretty simple math to determine how long the horizon is from that elevation is. The distance to the horizon is a radius, and 180° is half a circle, that means you could see 1/2 of the circumference of a circle with a radius of 4.5 miles. C = 2πr; C = 2(3.14)4.5 = 28.27433 miles. But you could only see half of that, so the total length of the horizon you could see in front of you was 14.13717 miles. Earth's surface curves at a rate of 1°/69 miles, so the total amount of left to right curvature was no more than .205°. The human eye is incapable of detecting .205° of curvature over 4 miles away. Period. This claim is as utterly nonsensical as the flerfing morons who claim that the Earth must be stationary because they can't feel its rotation.
The Earth is definitely spherical, but making nonsensical claims that are easily disproven doesn't actually do anything but give flerfing morons more examples of "globers" either lying or not understanding "the model."

"Have you watched the video? If you don't believe in the solar system, that means you think the sun orbits above the earth. But if that were true, the sun and moon would be visible all the time. Additionally, a small sun wouldn't be able to conduct nuclear fusion, meaning it wouldn't be able to shine light or do anything. The sun and moon would also not be round, as gravity would not be strong enough to make them so.
Furthermore, orbits do not work by going around in circles above things. The moon orbits the globe in a circle around it because it is technically falling around the Earth. This occurs because the moon is going fast enough to fall around the Earth, and there is no friction in space to slow it down.
But my main point is this: how do solar eclipses work? The only way for that to happen is if the moon and the sun are perfectly aligned across from each other and orbiting at the same speed. This would only work for a specific location on Earth, and it wouldn't be possible for the rest of the planet.
Finally, why would the government want to hide the shape of the Earth? It doesn't make sense. Scientists have gone through years of training to study the Earth and its shape, and their findings are widely accepted. I understand that it may be difficult to accept this information, but please consider the evidence and expertise of scientists. Thank you for your time."
