Loved the real world progression to getting windscreen clean as you showed what we have all experienced with the stuff left beyond the wiper blade path and what it takes to actually get it clean. The Glaco compound looks like a real time saver regardless of if you apply a sealant after or not.

Thanks, I love the Glaco compound for the clean that glass cleaner can't do.

Thank you for the video Specky. Soft 99 products are usually good quality and cost effective, so it will be interesting to see how long the Glaco Ultra lasts.

As you know Specky, i used both the compound and sealer a couple of months ago...... both easy to use and the water behavior is brilliant. BUT having read up a bit on their products, this one is recommended for speeds above 40 kph, they have another that is for up to 40 kph which apparently works great too.

I’ve been really enjoying using Soft99 products lately.
Glass sealants are always a bit controversial and some people can’t seem to get results with any of them but for those of us who like them the glaco range is quality stuff, keen to try the new DX version coming soon too which is supposed to be more extreme water behaviour.
Strange you seemed to find the Fusso boost slightly easier than the Fukupika I experienced slightly the other way but both are similar. Not sure what to make of the Fukupika as it seems to say it’s everything from waterless wash to 6 month sealant but whatever the claims it gives good results with minimum effort.

I think their products punch above their price range to be honest. As for our different experiences, that's most likely due to things like quality of paint, level of prep etc. The de cleaner for glass was particularly impressive both for cleaning and water repellency.
Looking forward to trying the rest!

It isnt so hard just use panel per panel a good strong wheel cleaner or a diluted strong one about 3:1 or 4:1 spray on spread it out and rinse of really well dry and gone by a flinq uff ure eyes bye bye waterspots

Magic eraser is what you want for cleaning and stripping the glass prior to protection, NOT a scourer sided sponge. Magic eraser once over and done.

Be interesting to see how you find it after a few weeks. I have always found windscreen coatings to start smearing after a couple of weeks which is to do with the wiper blades. I have used H2Go on the side windows and it easily lasts a year +

  • @tmphotography8443

BIG fan of the glass sealant , one of the better window sealants I have used on mine . Lasts ages Ive found and starts around 35 / 40 to clear off the screen . I said to Heather its something I would regard as a safety type product to keep vision clearer whilst driving . Your right about the need for both it seems a bit of a no need item for one of them . Most likely ARE the same product , because its unlike a company to sell you something thats the same as something else they sell is it ?

Hey there Specky! We all know how you Scott's love a bargain... Check out Sainsbury's home dish brush ( grey ), £3. A BRILLIANT tyre scrubbing brush, stiff enough to really get in there, but won't tear up the rubber. Long enough handle to prevent fling onto your hands or arms. I use it with Bilt Hamber surfex hd at 10% solution. Bargain! Just like my spare vikan brush I reckon you may well have purchased from me via eBay a few weeks back!? Couldn't have sold it to me grandmother for less etc... Great videos my friend, keep up the good work...

Great video. Bit late to the party! But I’ve recently purchased some Fukupika. I find it a nice easy on, easy off product. I’m just a bit confused about what it actually is! Is it a sealant type product (with up to to 6 months durability) that’s applied every couple of months? Or is it a quick Detailer to be used weekly? I’m currently using it monthly and then use the Soft99 luxury gloss quick Detailer weekly on top. As far as I can see it’s even marketed as a waterless wash! Interested to hear what you think of it.

    • @SpeckyMcSporran
      @SpeckyMcSporran  Před 10 měsíci +1

I see your confusion and sadly I can't help clear it up. Fukupika is as easy to use as a QD but acts like a sealant. Technically a QD should have a cleaning element to it so I'd use it more like a sealant to be safe.

It really depends what you're looking for. Soft99 Fusso Coat is hard to beat for longevity and chemical resilience but Garage Therapy 3CS topped with Two Sigma is an incredible combo with better looks in my opinion.

Not everyone wants to decontaminate, clay and polish before adding a spray sealant.
