I also take three of every one of my skin care. With soaps, I only take six of each scent. That’s bombs are a different story because I sell so many of them, I take every single bath bomb that I have.
I bet you do take all of your bath bombs! AND you make so many at a time too! I can't even imagine LOL
Honestly I could go down to 6 soaps, but I always have high hopes of selling more than I do 😂❤️
The new folding shelves also give you more visibility to your products.

Try putting the car diffusers on the top of the pegboard and then put your wax melts under those. That way the light will hit the diffusers and they will be more visible.

I can still put the testers down on the candle tops I suppose, I really don't know what else to do with them...any other genius thoughts? LOL
I’ve struggled with the selling things online without stock. I’m just glad that the person buying was cool with getting their shipment in two packages (my son’s friend in Wisconsin).
I don’t put all of my inventory online, which helps.
I'm glad you didn't have a mad customer - they are usually pretty nice about it
I used to not put all my inventory online, or take them off when I am down to 1 or 2, but then they sit there not selling in person and it drives me crazy. I actually sold a candle at the show (last one) and that night someone bought it online because I forgot to move the candle inventory to "craft shows" ... sigh... she was nice about it but dang it! lol
On your pegboard… try a short string of tube lights. I believe there’s battery powered options.
I may do that Aubrey, thanks! I also thought about buying a battery pack thing on amazon I saw -but it is like 170 bucks. I am buying so many replacement batteries it is starting to get ridiculous. I am holding for now but maybe before the end of the year...I don't want to spend the money tho. business is hard 😂
Good morning. I love watching your videos. I was listening to this and watching when I can while working in my shop kitchen labeling bath salts. You were talking about how much of things you take. I had to laugh. I did the same thing with taking all my stuff when I first started. I too, have so many scents of soaps. I now only take 8 of each. I've never not had some to bring back home but at least less bars. I also don't put my entire amount of bars on my web site and I check the web site amount once or twice a week. I make sure I leave enough aside for my shop.
we certainly are similar! I did the same on my website, but then I would have one or two bars left, and not selling them, so put them on the website and then sell them, and then forget to take them off the website 😂😂😂

I have a video coming soon with my new process - or my test of a new process - I am barcoding all of my products. I'm going to test it this weekend at my craft show to see if the extra time and money involved in putting barcodes on products will be worth it at a show.🙏
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique It takes a while to come up with the SKU's and I had so many products. We sell our honey and honey products as well. I used Online Labels barcode generator. I think barcoding it will make your checkout faster for sure. My problem is Square owns Weebly which I use for my web site, I use Square for check out in my shop, but what I have on my system here doesn't add to or remove it from the site which sucks!

I did ok at this first show , a little less than last year but then the economy is not as good right now so I am not surprised or disappointed in that.

Hey Tammy, don't you get a phone notification of any shop sales. When I'm at a show as these come through I take the products off of my stand into a 'sold' box to take home.
I do but my problem is the other way around - I have one item left and don't take it off the website in time and then someone buys it online.
I'm still struggling with this. I know I can take them out of inventory when I get down to 1 or 2 left but then I end up not selling them in person at all. I just can't find the perfect workflow to keep up on it. I think all I really need to do is EVERY TIME I make an in person sale, take it out of website inventory - but I get lazy or I Scarlet Ohara it and will worry about it tomorrow, then I forget to worry about it tomorrow 😂

I love those foldable displays!! I’m still building up my displays, because this is only my third year for one show, second for a few others. So, I’m still pretty new.
I'm really liking them - now all of my displays fold. I love the bath bomb one too. so much easier to get everything loaded up!
And we all are new at some point! I have had so many different shelves and racks trying to see what works. I think I am finally there (8 years later LOL)

Your displays are amazing! Was the black shelf next to the 2 corner shelves( I believe your creams were on it) a folding shelf as well?
@@MommininMillstown yes, I forgot to point that out. when I went to Hobby Lobby I grabbed 2 black folding shelves. One was taller and narrower and the other was a bit shorter and deeper. I liked having the different heights on my table 😍
I'm still a ways out for doing a show, but this was uber helpful! Great Ideas. Do you ever do a raffle basket for your booth or put together gift basket or combination items?
I do not, I may have tried it once years ago but it didn't gain me anything. I may try scratch off tickets this year - I'll update you all on how that goes!

Hi Tammy, I never ever comment but I watch you all the time and love, love, love, watching you and your videos!! Please never change, you are lovely just the way God made you.. If people give you a hard time for just being yourself, they are not even worthy of a reply, nobody's making them watch you! The more you skip around the funnier you get, and it's just an absolute pleasure watching you. You make me laugh out loud quiet often, and believe you me that's a feat right now in my life.. Was wondering if I could ask you a question about your LOVE/HATE Tallow face cream you posted a couple years back?? I would have posted my question there but not being sure how youtube works, I wasn't sure you would even get it since the video is 2 years old.. I've been on the hunt for a good tallow recipe, and I really really like your ingredient list alot! But the numbers don't add up right, and I'm wondering if maybe you inadvertently left out an ingredient or something? I just know you were having a real problem with your recipe, and it dawned in me that maybe you were missing something??
Hi thanks so much for your comment! You gave me very kind words and I appreciate them so much.
I looked back on the video - I think the .5% that it is short ( if that is what you mean by them not adding up) is that preservative. Also - the percentages are rounded up or down. I don't think an ingredient other than the preservative is missing. Actually the preservative is optional as there is no water in the formula and I didn't use one in the early days but I do now.
I am actually going to make this (again) and hope to fix it (again LOL) tomorrow. I wasn't going to tape it but maybe I should to show what I am doing to try to overcome the consistency issues that I still have. Not sure it will work but I can share the updated recipe...thanks!!! 💞
Just curious. How big of a vehicle do you drive lol? And do you use a Hand truck or something similar? I’m just starting the event thing. Getting ready this weekend to do my third. This one is my first two day event. Which leads me to another question. At the end of the first day do you leave your stuff out? Do you cover it? Just go on the honor system and hope no one has sticky fingers?
so I drive a mid size suv - Mazda. Honestly we usually have to take 2 vehicles at this point. usually products in one and displays in another LOL
I also just leave my stuff overnight. Sometimes I will throw a sheet over everything - especially outdoors (covered bridge time) but if it is an inside event I won't even do that very often. Yep - it is a honor and hope situation. My thinking is there are a lot more valuable things to steal than soap LOL - some of the one of a kind art or big wooden items would be more tempting I would think. I have never had a problem in 8 years of doing shows

oh my goodness!! Thank you so much LOL - I will get that fixed before my next show! How embarrassing 😂 My husband keeps telling me to slow down but I can't seem to get myself to do it 😄
