Late mother's day special?
Context: Douma went along with Female version of Muzan to his work place as a Geisha in a tea house when all of the sudden there was an argument formed from a distance.
Due to Douma's past of his parents arguing when he was little that still lingers in his memory even after becoming a demon and the fear still haunts him making him uncomfortable in that situation.
Fortunately, Muzan knows how to handle him since Douma wasn't the first one with a problem like this.
After Douma calmed down, he was immediately delivered home.

The way your Muzan behaves with Douma is very similar to mine,except that he gets more worked up whenever something like this happens,bc Douma is more likely to get a panick attack from it.
Lemme explain my Douma's past-
My Douma was also born with emotions,but with the trouble of distinguishing them,and due to how heavily abusive were his parents and the ppl at the cult,he wasn't able to develop them properly,never feeling nice emotions such as love and happines until at 14 when he met Muzan,after he got r@p3d,and Muzan turned him into a demon under Douma's request,not because he was bored,because he wanted to escape the pain he was being put through,since he constantly got abused in all types of ways,even SA'd multiple times by ppl in the cult and village.Douma got severe PTSD and trauma for that,so he was almost always around Muzan,who at the time,was the only one he trusted not to do anything to him,and this made Douma and Muzan have the strongest bond amongst the uppermoons and all demons.He also had a lot of trouble walking and doing different activities,after being abused for 13 years.
What can i say except that i love traumatizing the characters i kin.-

Fun (not fun) fact : It is very heavily implied that Douma was harassed during his childhood due to cult members touching his hands without permission and constantly talking about his pretty eyes!

Also I headcanon Douma to be rather Shizoid than to have Alexithymia so he actually feels emotions but doesn’t know how to express them very well :)
