Let me just say on a personal level I will never take for granted that gallon of milk in my fridge ever again! These videos need to be shown in every classroom to show kids the work and dedication that Farmers put in to put milk on our tables! Thank you Eric for showing the city folk what a real hard days work looks like! Good bless you and your family bro!

Eric my name is Gary. Back in the day I worked on my uncles farm which I missed terribly when he had to sell. Wish I had made it a career but unfortunately did not work out. Working on the farm I really loved. Good and honest work which kept me going strong and alert on what was happening in the world. It's good that this country has people like yourself that was raised apparently with great family morals and contribution to society. Outstanding family is the key to people like yourself. My hat goes off to your family and your upbringing. Please keep up the good work and I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SUPPLYING THE PRODUCTS IN NEED TO HARD WORKING PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY. Ugh, before the days of automation a bailer was the fanciest piece of equipment on the farm.
Anyone remember picking up after the bailer and hand loading bails on the trailer and hoisting them to the loft?

It appears the trench silos require a lot of material and man-power to fill and maintain. I would think the cylinder silos would be more efficient. They can be filled with very little man-power, they are already covered, they don't need to be compressed with machinery, unloading for feeding requires little man-power. I am sure the initial expense of constructing either concrete or metal structures, such as A.O. Smith is steep, but, so is pouring all the concrete for the trenches. The margins for dairy farmers grows thinner every day. I think making a farm profitable would be one of the most challenging tasks any human could do. I love your enthusiasm. Farming is, in my opinion, the most noble work any human can do.
