As Conor is falling, Aldo is rising. So poetic.
Easy Weasle you gonna offend his simps, You want them to remind you of the 13sec KO? 😂
I don't think aldo is rising i think hes just getting the correct amount of recognition finally
If you dive deeper, both of them trained in their own style of boxing, Conor's led to his downfall and Aldo's reinvented him..one failed against calf kicks another checked all of them
Conor McGuillotine
I still believe Conor can go on one last run but he needs to open up his training camp to new people to help him improve .
It was interesting to hear Luke Rockhold say that Usman and Izzy should have stuck up for Francis. 3 champions would def be able to change situation.
I mean bc they get paid well, they dont mind others,bc they know you gotta be able to sell your image in order to win more money, izzy and usman, everyone knows them just like ngannou, just that francis doesnt have that huge star powerr like them,so he does get paid less than them, but he still cares about others, these people need to realize its not only fighting and getting 50k,you have to sell your image well, and not be on prelims
They're fake friends for the media.
I can't imagine their managers would allow that.
@@yuliangeorgiev EVERYONE is fake in general when it comes to money they'll act like they don't know you
The fighters are to selfish. If they weren't then an MMA union would be possible
Paddy looks and sounds exactly like his name

😂😂 Prime Lawler v Luque is one hell of a brawl, gotta love that one
Prime Nick Diaz vs Luque 😱
@@anonymoususer2634 prime luque vs prime nick would be a banger. He wouldn't just get battered
@@anonymoususer2634 Prime Luque batters Prime Lawler, even Prime Lawler didn't have the greatest of chins. And Luque has a granite chin as well as being one of the hardest hitting welterweights.
I saw this mma poll where they put Chris Brown as the greatest striker in mma ☠️☠️☠️. Ruthless
Please give a link . I would love to add that in my meme collection
Link plzzzz lol
Haha! He'd actually be good in a Taekwondo match.
@@big4headedGangster Ah it's one of those CZcams polls you find while scrolling. I wish I saved it bc I can't recall which one it was.
Jose was one of my first ever favorite fighters when I came to love this sport a long time ago. It's amazing how long the guy has been at an elite level. The first ever champ at fw, and the only fw champ we knew for such a long time, and he only ever lost to top tier guys.
That night when he KO'd Mendez and ran out into that Brazilian crowd was one of the epic moments in UFC history, it'll live on forever.
@Christopher McMillan dude, how great would it be if he could somehow capture the bw title before its all said and done?
@Christopher McMillan I feel you. I really like Petr Yan too though 😭
Tony's story is the saddest thing in MMA :(
Yeah Tony should have got his chance at Khabib even if he looses the fight he wanted it so bad to get a legit shot at the title unification
How? He had his chances. No one forced him to fight Gaethje.
@@rohansharma6804 What title unification lol? Tony was stripped of a belt he beat Kevin Lee for because he pulled out of 223. Iaquinta, the guy who beat Lee twice, stepped up instead, Khabib dominated him, and then Khabib went on to dominate the former champion who'd been stripped for inactivity. Khabib beat RDA less than a year before RDA became champion. The only reason RDA became champ was because Khabib was out of the picture with injuries. Tony, meanwhile, only beat RDA after RDA lost the belt. What unification bout? In the world of merit, there was nothing to unify.
@@shahidabdoullakhanzorovr1564 how do you stand for Aljo and Khabib? Khabib does not respect Aljo at all. When Conor was stripped, Tony should’ve been promoted to undisputed champion. Khabib should’ve been Tony’s first title defense.
I think the fighter pay conversation should be MUCH more about how the average fighter is often struggling to survive despite risking their bodies for our entertainment. A tiny number of stars fighting over millions just isn't the same thing and doesn't do a THING for the average fighter.
I remember hearing stories about fighters having part-time jobs and fighting in the UFC. My initial reaction was it's not right. However, my stance has changed over the years. Fighters shouldn't sign bad contracts because they are desperate to fight in the UFC. Go to Bellator (44/56 split) or the PFL. The entire argument takes away from personal responsibility. How will you ask me, as a fan, to care about you if the fighter doesn't care about themselves? Also, work on your craft more. Izzy said he wasn't ready for the UFC initially. He perfected his craft before he joined. He also has the personality that will make people watch. The same with Paddy. Both have a growing fanbase. Not everyone needs to be old McGregor on the mic, but you have to captivate people to watch fights.
Omalley stated that he was going to take his time up the ranks. He's doing the same as Izzy and Paddy but in the UFC. It's about getting people to care.
Especially for new and upcomming fighters this is very bad.
@@x80five50 this, if they took the better money and did well in the other organization then they would probably get a more hefty offer from the ufc later down the road
@@x80five50 they cant even organise a bloody union. Guess that's why they fight for a living.
They could stay in school and get a career that helps the community instead of fighting.. but they all chose fighting knowing what it pays right now. How out fire fighters and cops, teachers or nurses. Those fighters do better than all of those people .
I didn’t realize until an interview with Stitch Duran (cut man extraordinaire) I saw recently, that cut and corner men used to have sponsorships. The Reebok deal offered them nothing, not a cent, and forced them to not wear sponsorship attire. Stitch complained. UFC kicked the legend to the curb. Un-fucking-believable.
It's because Stitch was never friends with Dana
I never knew that! Wow
True I think I spotted Duran in some boxing matches, happy for him seems to be doing ok nowadays.
stich duran was never my friend

How many of these have I missed (podcasts). This is amazing content Holy crap. Such a good podcast man. I love listening to your perspective. It's so unique compared to mainstream media. So good!
The Weasle is the best!
Dude you've been missing out. This is my favorite Weasle content
He literally says the same shit the media does don't know where ur coming from with that
Conor to box Canelo? LMAO, him taking Jake Paul’s offer is more likely.
At least is legit competition kinda for him not like Diego Sanchez
Conor would take canelo over Jake if he had to pick ...conor likes challenges and legendary shit... if he got to fight floyd pac and canelo he would gloat about that forever haha
Canelo would kill both of them that night!
@0% Liberal no shit but that is not what the point is lol... the point is conor will fight one of the greatest before he fights jake
after seeing Jake Paul with twood
conor would ko Jake and wouldn't be competitive
X.75 is perfect for a nap, I dream about the conversation until it's over! Thank you
Petr Yan will put a beating on Sterling.
Better striking.
Better cardio.
Better chin.
He even matched Sterling on the ground.
Sterling's career at 135 is in jeopardy.
He matched wrestling of Sterling, but he didn’t even tried to grapple with him
@@ColtBabyleone Sterling couldn't keep up the pace. He didn't have the gas tank.
Why would Yan grapple with a grappler for an extended period of time ?
@@shadowzeenko3653 Did i say that Sterling was doing well?)

Yan actually had the wrestling advantage

Conor vs Tony then/or Nate, Two big PPVs for him.
Nate vs Tony 10 rounds imagine the press conferences lol
@@rohansharma6804 Why do you keep saying 10 rounds?
@@sv_sup6661 We need a war bro I have never seen tony get tired in 5 rounds dominated? sure but never tired plus Nate Diaz get better as the fight proceeds bcuz of those triathlons I don't think the fight will go 10 rounds but I want to be a fight more than 25mins
Tony is the last person in the lightweight division we want to see take 10 rounds of damage.
@@sv_sup6661 he said nate and tony 10 rounds. How do u not get why that cud be good? They both nvr get tired and look better as it goes and nvr look done or full potential reached after rd 5. Itd be superninteresting to see what nate does especially after rd 5. Plus he tap hits so tony wudnt be in too much danger of heavy justin like damage.
Love your videos brutha, no click-bait, no shananigans, nothing extra, straight to the point of the tittles. Great commentary and insight on the fight game. A lot of knowledge and very detailed information! Keep it up! Been watching for a long time and will continue to!
Thank you so much!
Michael Bisping literally fought with a glass eye. The doctors definitely miss a lot
I mean they look real
That was afterwards.
It wasnt replaced until after he retired. It was still fuaked though
Yo, T-Ferg vs Conor makes a LOT of sense. The pre-fight presser would be the cringiest thing ever. But it would be a good fight.
Tony would outlast him
Thats it
No need to watch this crap
It would be fun but Tony would win just off his endurance alone..That press conference would be something else
Weasel, will you do a “who really won” breakdown video on Michael Bisbing vs Dan Henderson 2? This was Hendo’s last chance for the title he never held in the UFC. I thought he won that fight but maybe I was just rooting for the guy over 40. Thanks!
I thought he won aswell fkn great suggestions man I forgot about that close one!
He won if fights were judged as a whole and not round by round. Same conversation as Holloway vs Volkanovski 2, I don't think it's that complex.
If it was Pride he won for sure
Dana didn't want that smoke from Travis. He's like, "Forget about Ronda and I, take this extra dough"
Holyfield vs Askren, now that would be interesting
Or Askren vs Tito or Holyfield vs Tito
I’d take Holyfield still even tho he looked horrible
I love this long format let's talk!! Keep it up!
Paddy Pimblett is not championship material at 155 lbs.
Gamrot, Kutateladze, Tsarukyan would beat his ass.
Azaitar would knock him the f*** out.
Man, even Diakese would beat him up !
I don’t think your giving him enough credit, his grappling is his main asset, I think if he gets a hold of a diakese he can do well
Yuh
@@sincara345 yeah people want to dog pile, it was his first fight in the biggest promotion on earth and his fight was extremely entertaining and he won by KO. Of course he’s not top 5 level after 1 fight, but he obviously creates more of a problem for his opponents than most want to give him credit for or he wouldn’t be smashing these guys with ease. Just because his boxing isn’t as crisp as Max or Dustin in his first fight, doesn’t mean he can’t get to that level in a few years.
Look at Usman
@@sincara345 He's got very good BJJ. But everyone got good BJJ in that division.
@Adolfthejewbaka _ It's a marathon, not a sprint. But this marathon will be hard to finish for Pimblett.
i been checking ur channel everyday for the past two weeks for a new podcast, and its finally here!!!!
23:09 John Morgan always got the first question 😂
Dj is fighting rodtang in a hybrid mma muay Thai shit in one FC
I actually think giga would really struggle against volk and max. Barboza was able to effortlessly push giga against the cage but he didn’t throw a lot of volume. If either volk or max get giga against the fence they’re going to be smothering his kick range and putting a pace on giga he would’ve never felt before.
Really hope Luque gets that pay day man. He deserves it. Classy guy.
Plz do Demetrius Johnson vs Henry Cejudo 2 who really won next🙏🏽

Thank you so much brother
It would be such a shame if we never see Tony vs Conor, Tony vs Nate, and Conor vs Masvidal. So much potential in those three fights
Conor vs Tony or Masvidal will never happen, just to elite for conor, even tony beats conor,bc he never gives up,never taps, has a solid chin and his gas tank is durable, unlike conors, all that goes against conor, its more likely to see nate vs tony or nate vs hasbulla

good point about the stomps and leg locks thing. Just watch Alan Belcher beat Rousimar Palhares for an example of leg locks failing
weasle's MMA podcast is by far the best one out there
Wooooooo!!! my favorite time of the night, when TheWeasle has eye bags deeper than Anderson Silva’s striking bag 😂🙏
That's a wholesome picture at 7:35. Mike Beltran seems really happy for Aldo
I’ve been telling people the same thing about Paddy. His sloppy and uncontrolled movements will get him knocked out against a more disciplined striker.
Paddy's chin can be an diamond, but will not withstand Gaethje if Tony's chin could not.
Tony's chin did withstand gaethje's power, it was just that the referee had seen enough damage, and tbh everyone did. Tony made some questionable decisions before the fight and during the fight, at the end of the day gaethje's just fought the better fight
Tony’s chin did withstand it though. He didn’t get knocked out. He just got out worked and outclassed.
They r diff weights first of all. And 2 tonys chin did last but hes also way older and its just not a good comparison in many ways.
@@benaskrensintellect332 what are you talking about they're all lightweight?
Wtf are you even talking about Tony ate clean shots from Gaethje for 5 rounds, he didn't even get knocked out it was a standing TKO
Lots of hardcore MMA fans have been asking for a “Legends” division for the longest.
Now they have it in the boxing ring where it probably belongs due to their old hips and knees.
Dam. Listening back to this. That Chikadze point about him beating Kattar. And then this year happens.
Great points to start the video, Weasle! The early career fighters usually don't have the management to make sure they get their owe! Praise, man!
I love the channel weasle keep it up
Don't forget Tony destroyed his knee tripping over a cord came back a little over 6 months later to fight Pettis and put on a hell of a show.... Even Dominic Cruz was like wow only 6 months... Go back and watch the fight... The look in his eyes after the last round ended was the last we seen of el cucuy.... The fire is still there but father time is undefeated.... I know because I'm 40. I still got my power my endurance and my speed... But the aches and pains that go along with that slow you down. Tony Ferguson will always be one of my favorite fighters 🕺🔥🔥 His heart is bigger than both of his hands combined 🤙
Nah. The last time we saw El cucuy was when he landed that uppercut from hell on Gaethje.
Love your videos weasel. Do you think the ufc should get rid of weight cutting and have fighters fight at their natural weight? What kind of weight class system do you think could be implemented if the ufc were to get rid of weight cutting? What do you think about a system where fighters don't cut weight and instead fight in a certain weight range (i.e you can fight someone 5lbs less or more than you)?
38:31 Thank you for answering my question. I agree with your opinion on Topuria. Topuria is the future at Featherweight and potentially the future of MMA
@Jon Kozak If anyone’s lucky its Ryan Hall, Topuria barely got touched. Hall looked like a fool spamming the same move and Topuria defended the move excellently every single time. He even knocked him out brutally
Bro... these podcasts are awesome! You need a show on ESPN or something!! Keep it up!
Jose Aldo: loses 1 fight to a top competitor
Everyone: *it's over for him. His careers done, he's over the hill*
Not everyone
True, yes, but I think it has a bit to do with the perception that Aldo is an aged and weathered fighter not necessarily because of age but more because of the amount of time he’s spent at the top of the sport. Great to see him catching a second wind at bantamweight, hope we get to see more good performances from him.
His career isn’t done but he is a bit over the hill. Breaking his foot took away his crazy leg kicks. If he still had those he would’ve had a strong chance against anybody, even Yan
Dude he's never gonna win a belt again, gets battered by champions only thing he's gonna get other than what he already has is cte. Dude has been in the game for so long, it's time for him to enjoy his life. U guys keep hyping him up only to hinder his health he's good to beat top guys but not good enough to beat top 2-3 guys. In a 5 round fight he loses always
@Christopher McMillan here you losers go again, ive hardly heard any conor fan say aldo is done, actually ive seen most from them ssying aldo is a legend, maybe it helps that conor also talked good about him and that made them like him more i guess, but you guys literally can blame conor fans even more human starvation hahahahaha
Lol, Paddy’s hype is completely underserved, he isn’t close to being an elite fighter, it remains to be seen if he will actually fix his striking before he could end up becoming a meme.
Would love to see paddy vs Fiziev next! 💪🏾
I think it's all a plan an his chin isn't that out there.
His chin brings out the aggression an then ground game finish.

PLEASE do a break down of the jack Della fight from yesterday at Dana white's contender series. It was insane and even got a standing ovation from Dana. I'll even subscribe to your patreon!
I think that would be a cool thing to experiment maybe with one of the new leagues or promotions perhaps instead of 5 round Championship bouts you could have unlimited time bouts to a certain extent but I think that would also demand that the referee have a much greater presence and impact because the danger would ramp up encouraging people just to go till they drop

I think Travis Brown is referring to the quote 'you are not paid what you are worth, you are paid what you negotiate'
McGregor vs. Pacquiao wouldn't really generate that much hype. Pacman would never stoop to Conor's level of trashtalk. He's never been known to throw shade against his opponents. If that fight were to happen you can most definitely see that the press conferences would be awkward as hell, with Conor throwing jabs at Manny and Manny just sitting there smiling.

He knocked him out at the end of the 1st round. He did the least possible he could to still hold the hype. But doesnt change the fact that hes entering with hype around him still. Lets see how often he fights and more importantly his next fight and how elite theyll be
He’s gonna get the dog shit beat out of him when he starts fighting real comp, worse than Sean O’Malley will to me.
@@AntiPeoplePersons dude O'Malley's striking is very underrated
@@AntiPeoplePersons paddy won't make top 10 with that striking defence, but sean could go far, all depends on what his ground game looks like, I find him annoying too, but his striking is top tier and he has really good power
@Adolfthejewbaka _ charles losing streaks were in his early 20s, i get your point that charles proves any1 can win the belt, but charles had already had years of fighting at the elite level by the time he was paddy's age, that's the reason he has become so good. Aldo legacy > Conor legacy
It's true but I didn't imagine dana saying it lol
Why do people even compare conors record with other legends, ite obvious his record is shit compared to theirs
In the cage yes. Credit were credit is due and Conor made several fighters a lot of money and he did move the fighter pay forward. Right now it appears he is falling apart but Aldo never had the paydays Conor has and that kind of money changes people. Hell, people change when they get promotions that increase their pay thousands of dollars let alone 10s of millions.
Then why did Connor starch him and end his career 😂
From a athletic/competitive standpoint yes but to be fair Conor has been the most important fighter for mma as a mainstream sport
What are your thoughts on Ian Garry? He’s debuting at MSG on the Usman Covington 2 undercard and could potentially be the next Irish superstar. Cage warriors welterweight champion and undefeated.
