Skiathos 2021 - 3 -Skiathos Town - The Town, Bourtzi, Papadiamantis St., Old Port & Airport Landings

- In the third instalment of our Skiathos adventure, we get on the bus from Troulos bus stop 18 to Skiathos Town.
We walk about the town taking in the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the town, Bourtizi, Papadiamantis Street, the Old Port and watch the planes landing.
We end by popping into Milos Restaurant right on the sea front to eat and watch the planes in their final decent.

Sadly I lost my darling wife in November last year so the memories are so much more poignant...we loved our Holidays on the wonderful Greek Islands...Thanks again 🙏🏻

I so love skiathos,my wife and i first went in 2000,been 8 times since then,wonderful,unspoilt place

Absolutely fabulous videos. First went to Skiathos in 2002 and then again 2007. Fi gers crossed going in 2023. Its my absolute peace of heaven. Watching theses videos brought back so many memories. Looking forward to your next video at the dog shelter, brought tears to my eyes just seeing the little clip, so I will be a blubbering mess by the end of the full video lol. My favourite beach to go to is Acladies. Its fun going across to it in the little taxi boat. And can highly recommend the Mouria restaurant...if its still there. Enjoy the rest of your stay if your still there. X

It's a beautiful island. However, the weather the last 3 days has been awful. Looks better tomorrow.
That was very good and informative. We are going early October again staying in Troulos after more than 30 years, just hope things will still be open. Yes really enjoyed that it looks very different now, back then we had to get our own cases of the plane when we landed.

Hallo from Athens ! Today, 27th September, (after a cold pause 2-3 days with 22-25°C) , the weather is again sunny and >30°C !
Today, now 17.00 in Athens 31°C !!!! It`s called ``Late summer`` : no winds, very warm water, no kids, no families & better prices !!
But, Skiathos is not South-GRE. -==> 1-2°C colder. But, in any case, VERY Good Choice !!!
Also Mai is a good choice, high temperatures (>30°C), no wind, no kids, no families, nature still green full of flowers, but water still a little bit cold.

Hi Marc, it was September when we were there. I think it can be a bit hit and miss at that time, as it is in May too.
Is it possible to fly with a drone or are there limitations since there is an airport? thank you
Only one place I had issues and that was the clock tower on the hill in Skiathos Town. Only wanted to fly it up and down and have a reveal shot of the town but the app wouldn't let me. Everywhere else seemed to be fine.

Oh, I captured that in my second Skiathos Town video as I didn't get time on this video. I believe it was the 8th episode.
@@continentalcoxons what was the temperature during your stay in September? We were at the end of the June and weather was perfect with the temperatures not over 30 degrees of Celsius.. Also located in Troulos (perfect base for reaching all parts of the island)
About high 20s when the weather was good. We had about 3 rubbish days in between with a storm so that was rubbish. 2nd week was red hot though.
