- In the 5th episode we look at hiring quad bikes. Things don't quite work out the way we expected.
Eventually once everything got sorted out, we managed to visit the dog shelter.
We then head down to Small Aselinos Beach, followed by Ligaries beach.
A pit stop is made at Taverna Ligaries before heading back round to Koukounaries beach.

My daughter And her husband went to visit this place a few weeks ago. Roxanne Fontanarosa, she works for a dog charity in UK.
Ah yes, she suggested we go to the dog shelter.
We have eaten in the same place, lovely food :)

Wow, quads are quite the hot commodity there, apparently. Sorry you had to work so hard to get one! Beautiful scenery throughout, though, so hopefully that made it all worth it for ya. The food looks incredible, too! "Faff... " that's been a fave of these two Americans for a while now. Love it! 😊

Loving these videos in Skiathos 🙌🏼 can’t believe you guys couldn’t get the quad bike the first time you went, the Greeks are too laid back for not chasing up the guy not bringing it back 🤣. Also that Alinisos beach looks gorgeous we drove Past signs but never went.
Did you like koukanaries beach that was by our hotel the Skiathos palace 😏 the rooms weren’t great at that hotel yours was better than ours.

Thanks for the lovely comments as always. Koukounaries was a lovely beach bit for us, it was too crowded with sunbeds and the bars were booming. We prefer a much more laid back beach, all personal opinion of course.

We like a quieter beach too but our favourite wasn’t accessible but we only had the one beach day we get itchy feet 😝. We’re looking forward to watching the rest too 🙌🏼
I think they kicked in before we even left. Met so many great people it's been unreal. It's also been mad the amount of people who have stopped us saying they'd been watching our videos, very surreal. Had loads of people looking over and seen them saying, yes that's them 😂

Had about 3 days of it, really scuppered some of the plans for content. However, still got about another possible 4 to do and put together when we get back. You even get a mention in my last video.

Awesome adventure even if everything didn't go exactly as planned. Good stuff! It's really fun to see all of these shots from over there - there's a lot of variety, and I definitely need to go there myself one of these days.
Glad you're enjoying them, was good fun making these. I still have a few to put together, just finished the next one today so should be available on Monday. You should definitely get over there, beautiful island and as you can see, very green. Some great beaches over there and we hardly scratched the surface with them.

It's a shame we had 3 days of rain as it ruined some of the plans. Had intended to go over to Skopelos and stay overnight.

Yeah, I got absolutely soaked on the Quad bike as we got caught in it after we'd been through a forest. Was shivering the time we got back to the apartment.
Lovely following your adventures. Skiathos is just as I remember it, except Koukounaries Beach was deserted when I was there back in May 1982. The island is so green. Other green islands to consider are Thassos way up in the Northern Aegean and Samos close to the Turkish mainland. Beautiful islands. I saw you went to Kos. Was that green? I went there on a daytrip from Bodrum but didn't get much further than the town. Frustrating waiting around for the bike, you should try living in this part of the world..... ha ha!
We were in Kos last September. I think it was on the green list last year, sire they've probably changed the system a good few times since then.

Oh god sorry, totally misunderstood. Kos was a bit more barren but they don't get as much rain down there.

Never actually had a problem in the past until this one. Unfortunately it came when we started to start doing youtube videos. Sure the guy was pissed.
