I got the gorgeous Hellhound 7800xt Spectral for Christmas. Possibly the best white card on the market. I don't use raytracing, so this card more than meets my gaming and photo processing needs.

Thank you for this review. Just a heads up. Not sure if I missed it but I am not sure what software you were using at 12:25. If it's Hardware info then it's not always accurate. I don't know how you do your tests but a collegue of mine developed his own GUI to get a detailed look and get information what all temps he gets. His setup for that is a bit overkill since he hooked up Arduinos for this. For your use case, I think you should use a thermodynamic sensor. Not sure how they are actually called but you can make screenshots with them.

    • @jordanash

In terms of thermals and power draw and performance i assume the red devil is the winner. Let me know if im wrong, i dont know much about gpus, was gonna buy a hellhound but if its same price

The Hellhound seems like one of the best value options, a good balance of cooling quality and overall cost. Powercolor has been one of the best manufacturers for AMD cards for the last few generations. However, I have seen some cheap models from them, but maybe they've decided to improve the quality on their most basic models starting either last generation or this generation. Powercolor might have caught up to Sapphire now in terms of quality (arguably they realized that Sapphire's approach is the best, and sort-of copied their strategy).

@@jordanash ok, thx for the reply. I'm disappointed since the Hellhound should be a premium model.

This is the one of the cheapest in the lineup in the UK. To be fair, even the 4080 Strix, the highest end model has a plastic bezel to it. It's more about what's under it

    Hi,
    I am looking to buy/build a PC
My current budget is 900-1000$ don't want RGB. I am also looking for a good motherboard which would support future upgrades for RAM etc... And also if I can install a good GPU in this same budget. for 1080p or 1440p resolution whichever works with the budget.
    Can you kindly suggest configurations

Best thing I can recommend is searching here for $1000 pc build. My friend geekawhat does a lot of priced budget builds.

It is *very* difficult to get these cards and when I do I have to commit to a list of content for them, so it's unlikely, sorry.
