  • We review this all-in-one design: blower, mulcher, and yard vacuum with flip-of-a-switch conversion. It is yet another alternative to picking up your leaves. So we test it's capabilities and strength on our homestead. Is this the right tool for us?

    I just turned 50 and am watching this to remind myself how depressed I am. From college partying, to watching leaf. blower reviews. Kill me now. On a serious note, I need this. Good review as the fall leaves on my lot are pissing off my neighbors.

    Perfect leaf mulch for someone who lives in the suburbs for their raised beds 👍

      For sure. I think this will work good for our deck and driveway. That area is much smaller and will produce enough mulch for my wife's potted flower garden.

    Remember folks, hearing protection always. Cumulative hearing loss happens when you operate these and lawn mowers over time, so wear those ear plugs.

    Actually purchased the thing back 3 years ago, small applications in your yard it works great, gets stuck hung up, just clean it out , mulching is OK, wish I had a more powerful blower, but I'll use it till it dies!

    i think there's an attachment that you can use that will allow you to hook up to a small garbage can when you are using the muclhing side of things.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  Před 6 lety

      I have seen that. It is probably worth it for $27. Although, since it only has an 8ft hose, you will have to either drag the can with you or rake the leaves into a big pile and then mulch from there.

  • @MichaelJosephJr934
    @MichaelJosephJr934 Před 3 lety +2

    I got this for free so I can't complain. I will use it to mulch leaves for my compost bins. If it wasn't for the mulching ability I'd never own it. Mostly because a corded blower isn't ideal for me. I do own other Worx items and overall they're decent.

    I purchased a WG 512. I only used to to pick up and shred leaves. It worked great even on damp leaves however it completely quit working the third time I used it. Would not blow, suck or shred. I just purchased a SunJoe maybe it will run longer than 3 hours!!

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  Před 3 lety

      Interesting. I have been using this one for 2.5 years with no problem.

    • @bobfanning6816

      @@CountryLivingExperience I loved it as long as it worked. It appears to be an electromechanical problem. (I am guessing a loose electrical connection) I had never used it as a blower. When it stopped working, I switched to blower mode and it worked. Switching to blower mode and back kept it going for maybe 15 more minutes, then it totally stopped working. As it most often happens, it failed at the beginning of leaf fall time. It is still under warranty but by the time I get warranty service I will have already raked and bagged the leaves. I am a strong “Buy America” person, that was one reason for purchasing the Worx, only to find that it too was made in China. As with most Chinese products, I am guessing the Sun Joe is a copy of the Worx, hopefully with improvements. I still have lots of leaves to pickup so I will soon find out if the Sun Joe is any better. We have little to no snow in Alabama so the leaves are out there waiting for me!

    • @bobfanning6816
      @bobfanning6816 Před 3 lety

      Just to follow up on my original post, I received the Sun Joe yesterday. It is somewhat lighter, has a plastic impeller and does not look near as sturdy as the Worx. More important, the bag was missing. I called Sun Joe and they were quiet curious and advised that in 2 weeks they will send the bag to me. Well heck, I am getting deeper and deeper into the leaf cleanup season while the leaves are being rained on. Bottom, line, I may buy another Worx. Without using the Sun Joe, I expect the Worx will outdo it. If I ever get all of the parts to use the Sun Joe, I will update my opinion.

    My wife bought this for me for Christmas. I live on an acre lot (house included). My plan is to blow my leaves to the ditch (front yard), and to the back of my fence (back yard), then vacuum them up. Do you think this will be sufficient? I've been mowing and bagging my leaves up to now, but there's always a lot of clippings everywhere when I'm done.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  Před 2 lety

      I still like this machine but the bag is small and fills up fast. I recommend the garbage can attachment.

    I have a 1970s vintage Weed Eater 3 in 1, and this Worx thing is WAY better. You don't have to stick anything into a recessed latch, the bag isn't a pain in the butt to put on and off, and no un-co-operative twist-locks to wrestle with to go from vacuum to blower. That Worx 3 in 1 looks like a much better design.

  • @laiyaj8880
    @laiyaj8880 Před 3 lety +2

    Why don't people just use a lawn mower to pick up the leaves and mow the lawn simultaneously?

  • @doreen3737
    @doreen3737 Před rokem

    Thank you for the review. I ended up paying about $90 on Amazon I have long pine needles EVERYWHERE...UGHHHHHHHH!!
    It doesn't really work on them. Well at least sucking them up that's a pain in the butt
    But I kind of wish I would have gotten another one the problem with this is that the unit itself is very heavy I'm a strong woman but that little bent nozzle that sucks up the leaves I believe IS IN THE WAY of the blower and you got to constantly keep it up in order to blow anything and damn that gets heavy as heck. If that front part somehow detached that would make blowing the leaves and pine needles a lot easier I believe. It's been sitting over here in my corner for like 6 months now maybe I'll call the company and do something...😳
    I threw out the box otherwise I would return it to the store.
    My opinion is that you should get a little riding mower with a bag attachment it would be a good investment I know they're not cheap but you got a lot of yard there. Again thanks for the video and your time

      Brian Thurlborn* I’m glad that I always read the comments on videos, especially those for product reviews. Because today I read that another customer called Workx for a replacement part for another one of their products... a leaf shredder/mulcher. Workx told this customer that they do not sell ANY replacement parts for NONE of their products! ☹️

    Well I live in the city and that ain't what I was expecting. I've already ordered it though. My backpack blower is only 310 cfm, and it probably blows leaves with 2 to 3 times the velocity and area as what I just saw here. I believe that 350 cfm, is a little misleading.

      How did it work out for you? Two years in, what are you using now? I am looking for a good mulcher/blower but the blower is probably most important part and this is where I feel Worx falls short, in the mph. Would love to know your thoughts. Or should I just get a blower? I can use the lawnmower to mulch.

      It will pick up cigarettes but the inlet tube is too small to pick up a cup. The suction would stick the cup to the end of the tube though.

    I bought mine (Worx Trivac 3-in-1 Leaf Blower, Mulcher, Vac) a few weeks ago and have almost been Dying to try it out. I got that chance today. Did not have a ton of leaves yet but just a good test.
    I am in love with leaf collection now. I think this thing might even inflate a small bounce castle. The bag is pretty dang hard when the Vac is running. It picks up maybe too well. It will suck up dirt so be aware. I have china berry trees and lots of tiny little berry/balls with thin sticks. Does a great job on them with out any trouble. He said it filled up pretty fast, my thought was it was mulched very well and holds a Lot of leaves. But he has what looks like a farm compared to what I have. Small town boy. I paid $100 and feel it was or is well worth it.
    I have a ton of Worx Stuff and am sold on Worx lasting for Years. In fact I have not had to replace any or my Works tools. Including a weed eater that is over or close to 30 years old.
    Worx was the perfect name for this Company and their tools. Do NOT fear the little know name.
    This thing sucks, I would say as well as my Shop Vacs. They sell a Collection system that has a Long hose and I am willing to bet that it would just make thing that much easier to keep on going. I have a 100 foot hose I might have to hook up and test out. But then again I don't have a 100 Yards of Yard. My Mom does, so I will be testing it out. She has Pecans so That will be a test as well. Not expecting it to like them. But we try to keep the pecans anyhow.
    As for the Blower... I have never been a blower guy but yea it blows stuff around to.
    My New toy is a great addition to my Worx Collection. Buy it if you are wondering.
    I might be reposting this comment on other reviews. I LIKE IT.
