Wow, dude! I was thinking of buying a second-hand one of these online and before I started bidding thought I should check out a review on YT. This was the first one that popped up and I was really surprised it was uploaded so recently. I checked out the big bad and sure enough there it was, for like a quarter of what I was expecting to pay! They should be giving you a commission! Seriously thank you so much, you rock! Great news. UsualMike has a theory that these are warehouse finds. I'm just happy people are getting a second chance at a lot of these.
Agree, Matt! I get asked about this one a lot, and I feel bad telling people that they are super expensive on the secondary market. Hopefully this will satiate more of that need. And I'd love to have confirmation from Hasbro, but I think Mike is probably right. Some intern walked into the darkened backroom space of a non-descript Hasbro warehouse somewhere and was like, "Uh, oh... how did we forget about all of these?!" haha!

Great video Paul. I don't know whether it's ever been pointed out in the helmet collecting community, but I believe that these Hasbro helmets have been used, on screen, in a Star Wars production. If you look closely at the Stormtrooper helmets on pikes in The Mandalorian, you'll notice that they're all Hasbro Black Series helmets.
I have not heard that, and did not know that! I'll have to re-watch that and see if I can catch it! I know this Hasbro helmet is molded after the Rogue One variant of the Stormtrooper. Thanks for stopping by and checking this one out, Jaytee!
I got the stormtrooper helmet all the way back in 2016 since then though one side started to turn yellow from the sun hitting it and I didn’t put curtains on my windows 😫 so I might get a new one , another great video as usual man, oh and I managed to finally get the scout trooper helmet and it’s amazing 😁👍
Oh, sorry to hear that, G-Squared. I keep all my displayed collectibles in my CZcams studio, where the blinds are closed the vast majority of the time and it's dark. And yeah, maybe it's time to get another one. And then, you can custom paint the one that yellowed into an Artillery Trooper or a Remnant Stormtrooper or something like that. And congrats on the Scout Trooper helmet! It's a thing of beauty for sure!

Well, thank you for checking it out, Alan! I appreciate that! And for me, I have very little vision in this helmet. It severely narrows your field of focus, limits your peripheral vision and all but makes anything below and near you impossible to see. I have found that exaggerating my head movements to gain some field of vision helps, but I don't think you could wear this for extended periods of time without a helper/handler to steer you around stuff. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to remove to top of the helmet??

Harold, I pried the top off one of mine once and was terrified the whole time. I used a flat head screwdriver to get in under it and applied steady, firm pressure until one of the hook tabs that anchors it to the bottom piece finally gave way. The rest came out easy after that. I thought for sure I was gonna break it the whole time, though. If you try that method, be slow, methodical and careful for sure!

I used two LEGO brick separators and managed to get all but the the two front clips free. I was scared I was gonna break it, so I stopped there.
It's a really beautiful helmet except for the battery compartment and speaker on the back but it looks great with my Black Series Darth Vader helmet.

It's a great helmet, Radish, especially for the low price of $99, but it is definitely not 100% screen accurate for sure!

Yeah, I guess that sucks, Neko. These are only going for slightly more than they did when they were first introduced. So, if you wanted a Stormtrooper helmet, this would be your best bet. However, as you say, if you can't swing it, you just can't. Hopefully it happens for you some day!
@@PaulsCollectibles very true. I likely will just save up for a bit and get a custom made one, like the kind 501st guys get for their costumes. That can be quite a bit more expensive though. Oh well, time will tell. None the less great video!!!
why didnt you review the voice changer
This video wasn't meant as a formal review, just an announcement it was available again. However, I have reviewed this helmet, and others from Hasbro that have voice changers in the past, and to put it bluntly: they are worthless. So, I mention that it exists in my videos of those Hasbro helmets with it, and then I move on.
@@PaulsCollectibles wow sad to hear, i like to use them to play with and scare my dogs lol. I had the lord zedd one from power rangers lightning collection and the voice changer is really nice on it.
can you tell me if the vader helmet being resiussed is of the same quality in regards to the voice changer?
@@ImmortalDraylo I'm sorry, I don't know. I don't have any version of the Darth Vader helmet (my thing is mostly troopers) so I can't offer an opinion on anything concerning that helmet.
