Thank you for your transparency on not trying to get someone to buy the products you use but to get their technique down first. Your welcome, I always encourage everyone to use what they have, and try to be consistent.
I've been using the detox method since 2017, I still use the blue gel (crazy sexy hair) in the humid summer months as a topper it gives great hold and longevity to my waah and go style. My philosophy now is I mainly stick to botanical gels but if the need arises I'll use a plastic based gel as a topper and clarify afterwards.

Great video! Yes, when I started the 30 day hair detox, all I used was UFD for most abour 3 weeks then later added ICH. Technique is really key. Products are nothing without having the right technique, application, and having realistic expectations 👌🏿

Thanks for all you do, Rosie. I have to let you know this channel has single-handedly changed my view on wash n gos. Because of you, I have found products and a technique that work for my hair. Let's just say that the Ouidad Heat Gel and The Doux Mousse Def, as a combination, work great for me. I have moved on from the Uncle Funky's Daughter gel only because when I use it, my hair takes forever to dry. I also got the Dyson dryer because of you; it dries my hair so fast. Thanks again. Thank you Rosie for sharing these combos. I had a jar of Kinky Curly just sitting there. So I tried it with I Create Hold and loved the finish! I was literally going to give away Kinky Curly until I saw this video.

I bought curly magic about three years ago and hated so much I took it back to the store 🤣. My hair health and technique is so much better now ( I do need a good shaping but the health is better). Now I see all the good hair you tubers pairing curly magic with some of my favorite gels. One of the reasons for my dislike to UFD curly magic was the use of glycerin. My hair does not prefer glycerin. I may have to break down and give it another try.
🤣, I did the same thing. I only applied it to a little back section and my hair was like get it off 😂😂😂. I went into the shower and washed it out and twisted up my hair . I returned it👀. Then a few months in I decided to give it another try and it was a total different experience. My hair was dehydrated! Like most of the products I tried prior to the detox didn’t work now it’s a different experience.

I also Love Jello Shot w/UFD and I Create Hold on top. I tried Kinky Curly and did not like it but that was when I didn’t know what I was doing. I might give it another try.

Hi Rosie ! What is the difference between Trepadora gels (Expectations, slip, hold) ?
I like medium hold and fluffy hair. What should I buy if I want to try Trepadora gel ?
Hey, based on my experience I find that papaya Slip gives you the slip and it gives me the hold and it’s much easier to work with during styling. I would go with papaya Slip based on your described expectations. Bamboo ginseng on the other hand in my experience doesn’t give the slip , but it gives really great hold( hard holding). I hope that helps.

when u say technique do u mean the way u rake and smooth the hair or technique as in how much product u neeed in the hair??
Good question Tomeka,for me personally when I mention technique I am referring to the moment I step into the shower (or at the k/ sink) the process of wetting my hair, applying the shampoo, applying my conditioner, detangling and Applying my gels.From wetting the hair to the final raking and smoothing during styling they are all apart of my technique to getting my wash and go to come out a certain way. It’s difficult to explain but I hope I made some sense 😁.
