I have the large Cyme bag and I don’t like it. Not stylewise, it is a pretty design, but unfortunately very unpractical, which I only learned after some use, as everybody was praising it…: 1. Given its rounded shape, you cannot store rectangular things properly in the bag. They will always sit angulated. Smaller stuff will just tumble around like in a washing machine, except you put everything in pouches (I am not that type though). 2. The double handle. The short ones don‘t store away like on the LV On the Go. They stand up. Means, if you wanna grab your bag fastly by the long handles and hurle it on your shoulder, depending on your arm length your elbow will get stuck in one opening of the short handles. Happens alot with me. Alternate scenario, you catch one long and one short handle, your bag tips and things fall out. 3. The leather is sturdy but not quality leather. It is hard, like cheaper Saffiano. It is forgiving and sturdy though. But if you are a lover of quality leather like on Loewe bags, it is just not nice. It is better than the Demellier leather though. I got the Cyme for around 320€ longer time ago. I think that price was okish. Now I would save up and invest in some higher quality luxury brand.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have the *preluxz* as my travel bag and not have to take care of it. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

I haven’t bought Poléne bags since I first went ham in 2022. I have the Cyme mini in lilac, Nano Un mini in chalk (gold chain), and Neuf mini in camel. I love them! They’ve genuinely held up so well and also feel luxurious. They’re stiff in maintaining their silhouettes or overall design but they’re comfy and usable. Not so stiff that it’s heavy or feels like paper or construction. On that note, after all the recent reviews AND price hikes, I’ve absolutely turned off from ever buying again unless I’m in store on a special trip (also on west coast). Idk if I’ll ever buy again unless the consensus turned around. I considered myself lucky to have purchased when I did before they exploded and lost their way. I’ll prob keep my mini collection for as long as possible. They just don’t seem to make them or sell them like they used to. Still look so beautiful, unique, and I always get the most compliments. I’m definitely a fan of their aesthetic but I can’t justify buying today. Hope you’re listening Poléne. 😅

I used to spent on auth for more than $80k before. I was so regret and wished I would know about high quality repliacas earlier so I could save a lot. Awww, you used one of my Reddit comments. 🥰 All of your Polene thoughts are my thoughts. I agree with everything you said. The Huit bag is so unique it was my first choice. I’m not even mad about the quality control, I’m most mad about the horrible customer service. Like I get it, not every bag is going to be perfect but your customer service better make it right.

I own the large Cyme bag. And I love it. I have been using it daily as a work bag since March. I stuff it to the brim and it’s the only bag that does not give me shoulder pain. Even my LV Neverfull can get uncomfortable. In fact just yesterday I was shopping for over 2 hrs in the mall, constantly wearing it and it held the weight of all the shopping just fine. I know some ppl complain about the base but honestly it does not bother me and I tend to fit items like a puzzle in the base. One thing I noticed is when you first get the bag, no matter what you do it will not hold the “winged out” shape. But now after using it a while it is holding it just fine. I’ve also noticed the leather is becoming a bit softer which to me means the quality is there. I bought mine off Poshmark even though it was sold as new. That would be my recommendation, buy one second hand and see if you like it. I plan on getting another one next year when I’m in NYC. I’m not sure about buying it directly from the website. Initially when I went to the website it was always on back-order. After tracking it for 3 months I just went with Poshmark because I’m impatient. 😅
The Cyme looks like such a great "adventure day" bag like going to the beach or just needing things for any situation! But that's what I was worried about -- the weight so good to know it's not that heavy and love that the leather has soften over time -- forever a lived in bag lover! This was very helpful :)

I bought the Polene Numero Neuf bag three years ago. I have worn the bag many times and have not noticed any wear and tear. However, when I recently bought the Polene Cyme bag, the quality was no longer there. The bag had no structure, scratches on the leather and the handles were so unstable that I was worried that they would tear as soon as I put something in the bag. However, the return shipment and refund went smoothly. Perhaps it was because I live in Europe. But I found it shocking that the quality had deteriorated so much 🙁
It’s so disappointing because when you see people’s polene bags from a few years ago everyone RAVED about the quality and now it’s definitely not the same 🥲
My friend went to the Polene store in Japan and I went to the one in France. I believe the Japan one had better in person customer service and the service I had in Paris was basically, "fend for yourself" lol Japan was busier and in Paris I could just walk in. I personally was not impressed by the quality and I was so excited too as I had intended to buy the mini huit (#8). Like you said, its modern design with a femininity with the scalloped edges. It was so cute! I think my problem with it is I was disappointed with the way the handles/straps distort (probably from the way they store it) but it shows they dont care about their merchandise, the service, the glazing and the thinness/plushness of the leather itself. Specifically about the huit, I did not like how much the style jutted out from my hip area no matter how much I adjusted the straps to fit my body. So for the price, I just walked away. I told my friend I was unimpressed so I convinced her to not spend her money there either. I'm probably being too picky on them but, I still expect quality if I am paying hundreds of dollars. Whether they are designer or not, I look at glue residue or stitching in all areas of wearable items. Companies need to do well in their QC for customers to trust them and to keep coming back. Knowing now of Polene's price increases and quality declining, I'm glad I trusted my gut to not spend my money there and I'm quite happy as I spent it on delicious food instead. 😂
Here's a fact I know when I visit Bali: they price it higher for foreigners and domestic tourists, but lower for locals (usually tourist spots), so I usually go in*preluxz* Go shopping.
i love my polene numero dix, beautiful quality😊 polene bags are mostly on the structured side so obviously you won't get that soft leather feeling that unstructured bags like the flamenco or the loulou have, that doesn't mean the leather is of less quality though, it's just the way they are designed and intentionally made then again i totally understand the concern one would have from all the reviews online, maybe i just got lucky with mine
after finishing the video, i don't think you would like the numero dix as it is definitely stiff! i personally don't mind, what bothers me is when the leather finish feels too thick or plasticky (like the saffiano or the epi), the numero dix "stiffness" comes from the material they put inside to hold the structure not from the leather finish, hope that helps!

I bought a messenger style Polene, but the strap wasn’t an accurate measurement to their site. It was much shorter. As I remember, the leather wasn’t impressive. I had no reply from customer service and had to chase them down through social media (Facebook, Instagram). Paid their $40 (shipping both ways) just grateful to get mostly refunded.
Yes the color of the *gtdupe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I ordered the UN Nano bag. When it was delivered it was HARDER than cardboard. The flap would barely open because it was so stiff. I really liked the color, concept, & design but it literally felt like it was molded out of concrete. 😢 they were great about my request to return and get my money back. (After a return fee)

But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been *yutulu* buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability
Hi Maggy! I’ve started to see bad Polene reviews, too, and I have to say that I’m surprised. I own 3 Polene bags and 1 wallet and sent back two others I purchased because I didn’t like the styles. All of my purchases were made between 2021 and 2023. I’ve had no quality issues at all, and no issues with customer service when I wanted to return. The bags I have (Cyme Mini, Numero Dix, and Numero Sept mini) are well-made, look just like the photos, and are comfortable and practical to use. Also, I don’t know if reviews say this, but the pieces I have are all lightweight, which is something I highly value. It’s always hard to know what to make of reviews. Are unhappy customers more likely to post reviews than happy customers? How much weight do you give one person’s (like me) good experiences? I think what makes it especially difficult for someone who is still deciding whether they want to buy Polene is that, as you said, you can’t try the bags on because there aren’t many stores (but I live in SoCal, too, and have seen a few at South Coast). And because you have to pay $20 for shipping and returning, you’re in for at least $40 even if you return a bag. I was okay with this risk when I ordered because the bag designs are unique and affordable (relatively). I wanted to also mention: I own Flamenco as well and you’re totally right that the Polene leather is nothing like what you get in a Flamenco. But I’d say that makes sense. Polene’s bags are very structural in design, and if they were made of super soft leather, they’d be floppy and lose that quality. So I wouldn’t consider the structure in the leather a mark against the brand, as it’s part of the design. The one complaint I have is that the prices have skyrocketed. A bag I bought about a year ago for $460 is now $580. I get that price increases happen, but that’s a 26% increase in a year. If I were buying now I’d be more salty about having to pay for shipping. The Cyme mini is definitely not a tiny bag. I bought it to carry to work when I need to carry my agenda (I have the LV desk agenda for reference) but not my laptop. It’s big enough for things like that, but doesn’t feel like a WORK bag. So it’s spacious without being big!

@@maggyxchuu Given how much I've benefited from channels like yours, sharing about something I have experience with is the least I can do! ❣ If you asked me whether I'd buy my bags again at the current prices, I don't know if the answer would be yes. When they were in the $300-$400 range it was an obvious 'yes.' But if you're pricing is $450-$600 there is a lot of competition in that range. So even if people weren't reporting quality and CS issues, it'd be a harder sell. Luckily you have a beautiful collection--you're not missing out on Polene, you'd just be adding a bit of something extra if you got a Polene bag. At least, that's how it looks from the outside! 😊 I was at South Coast on Sunday and looked out for Polene and didn't see any. I wonder if that means anything.... 🤷♀
I have a numero dix i bought from three years ago and one of the “studs” of thr bag fell out. I emailed them for a repair, they responded immediately and received a shipping label for free. It was back repaired in less than a month. 😊 i love my bag so much and the leather even after three years of using it a lot still holds up pretty well
I bought a polene bag before the quality and customer service scandal started. So my bag is the high quality kind luckily. Now, even if there is a model I want - I am afraid to buy. Those who want a polene bag - it is better to look second hand, and find out with the seller when the bag was bought. Another point - once the quality scandal started, they raised the prices illogically... so that's really annoying

quality issue is sadly decreasing across the board whether its high end luxury like chanel and dior or polene. but the main issue with polene is the lack of physical store. I am too scared to buy from them just in case of issues

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *esluxy* If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.
I still love my LV reverse monogram *amzrepe* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

I almost bought a new LV handbag that was never filled. I'm so glad I saw this video and read all the comments. I'd rather buy a $100 bag with $1000 in it than any other *rrcopys* is good!
I bought three bags from polene awhile ago, the second one had quality issues. I paid $60 to return it to Spain (this was when they only had one shop in Paris so all returns had to go to their factory). They didn’t refund my money until I followed up with them several times. I was super annoyed but I still bought the Beri bag after that experience, and it’s held up well. Their leather quality reminds me of cuyana but of course polene has more interesting designs. The Dix is super stiff and hard to get in and out of, nothing like the Ava bag.
There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *esluxy* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.
You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *gtdupe* are not real name brand. That's one reason why I don't go thrifting anymore. Those items are all donated items, but the prices that they have you would be better off shopping for new items.
I have the Neuf mini (review on my channel) and it looks impeccable. I got it in the early Polène days. I also have the Nodde and Un nano. All great quality.

Polene is my first luxury bag that I bought brand new. I went to the Tokyo location in Omotesando and I have to say, other than a snarky security guard and the wait in line under hot sun, I have a very good experience. I went in looking for Cyme since I've wanted it for 2+ years and despite that price increase I still love mine. The SAs were super nice, and the one who helped me was very elegant, older Japanese woman who brought me all available colours and let me walk around and trying it in front of the mirrors over and over and over again. I also had a lovely chat with the other customers and a customer with very elegant picotin persuaded me to get taupe instead of black and I was grateful for her advice! The first bag she brought me had a small scratch on it so I pointed it out and she went back and get a new one for me. She also helped me take a picture after I finished my payment so all in all very very nice experience!!

I stayed away from Polene because I first saw it being promoted the same way as Senreve. I loved the silhouettes so eventually I went to check them out in person at the NYC store. Super disappointed, most of the bags felt flimsy, the only bag I liked was the Cyme. The Umi also felt substantial, but it doesn’t even look like they carry it anymore. I decided against getting the Cyme for work because I feared it would just flop over and still my items. I loved the canvas version, but it was only a $60 difference. I wished there was a brand that combined Coach’s quality with Polene’s style. Also, I’ve seen CZcamsrs that got their bags for free give away their Polene bags or it’s just no longer in their collections or talked about anymore.
YES the senreve bags LOL I would legit see people that only bought Hermes or Chanel promoting senreve bags and it just didn’t feel genuine at all - and now all their current bag collections not a single senreve has been kept and I’m sure they only had it bc they were gifted it. And the polene videos I see - if someone is promoting it but they say that polene let them buy anything in the store - immediately I take what they say with a grain of salt 👽

Not gonna lie. I OWN the authentic in that same exact color and I STILL got it wrong! And I even use the bag every single day! Only goes to show how damn good these *preluxz* are visually. Now guessing which is the fake by feeling them both in my hands is another story.
Like other brands, the softness depends on the style. The Cyme bag is more structured so the leather is not squishy. The Neuf is soft and squishy. The Cyme would not hold its shape if it was softer and it is honestly one of my favorite bags. I use the smaller more. I haven’t had any issues with any of my Polene but I got mine before all the backlash began.

I have 4 Polene bags purchased over the last 4 years, and have never had a single problem with any of them. The small Cyme I bought 6 months ago and it is performing beautifully. I'm sure some people have had bad experiences but I can speak for my self and I think they are worth every penny.

I have had the Numéro Un Nano in the textured black. (it was $380 at the time) I did love it, but it was just too small for me and what I like to carry. I ended up giving it to my mom, since she carries less and she loves it. However, the leather bits on the strap are peeling off, and I only have had it since Oct '23. I can confirm, it is very stiff 🥲
I know in January they raised their prices by like 20% 😮💨 but see one year should be the MINIMUM of it staying pristine or at least just not peeling like goodness!
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the *yutulu* bag, I believe that as long as you are not a professional, you will never see any difference .
Hi, I just bought my first Polene bag, the large Cyme, but I am now concerned about all the reviews I have read concerning the quality. I love the design of the bag. I found the customer service response fast, and the bag arrived from Spain to the UK within two days. It looks lovely, the packaging was nice, and I see no imperfections, but I wonder if I should return it due to the adverse reviews.
I ended up getting two polene bags last year around this time to wear to my sister's wedding and beyond and was quite nervous to purchase. But both ended up happy- exact color and style in addition to holding up pretty well for wearing for months straight. I bought the mini neuf and the mini huit and I ended up using the neuf so much (I consider getting another neuf, but the price increase deters me). The huit is gorgeous, but the non-detachable strap prevents me from wearing it to the same degree since if I wanted to do a top handle, I would have to tuck in the longer strap. Both bags have a con of getting in and out of the bag, but is also a pro to some degree since my stuff doesn't fall out. As someone that is on the petite side but I carry a lot of stuff around, they hold a surprising amount of despite being the minis. Edit: to speak to the leather, soft but the huit is very stiff and really holds the shape, the neuf has a bit more softness.
I love the design, but I don't have the budget. So I bought the *gtdupe* bag. Made from high quality legal snakeskin made by local Indonesian artists. From now on I never want to buy any luxury goods.

I have multiple Polene bags. Being first is un nano, which I got for $290 back then, and it still looks brand new after using and abusing it! I have the large Cyme too, which I use daily for work with no problem. The Le Cabas bag, which is discontinued now, has a problem with stitching. I emailed them, and they responded two days later. I sent the bag to Spain with a prepaid label, and they fixed it for free even though I had it in my possession (and used it) for three months after purchasing it. This way back in 2022. Maybe I got lucky with their customer service at that time? Some of their bags are not worth the price tag now, but if you find something that fits your lifestyle, it'll work just as well as other fashion houses. =)

It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on the craftsmen and quality inspection. My family and I have purchased D U P B A G Y bags over the past three years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
I have two pre-loved *preluxz* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

Hi Maggy! I’ve never shopped with Polene, but from someone I know who has purchased two or three bags from them, they’ve had great experience with their purchases and quality of the bags. I saw the Numero Dix in person while out eating ramen, and it’s so cute.

I have the Polene Numero Dix which I bought in Paris 2 years ago. As you mentioned, prices have gone up a lot since then. It is a very structured bag. Very stiff and does not have any give at all. So you know cresent shape bags are tricky to put things in to begin with. Even more so with this because it is very stiff. And BTW, it comes with 2 leather straps, not just one. So you can really wear it multiple different lengths.
The ones I bought before were so expensive that I didn't dare to use them because I was worried about scratching them; but you don't have to worry about the replicas because the amzwatch itself doesn't cost that much hahaha

I bought mine before 2021, I have the número un nano and the mini cyme and both are impeccable and didn’t have issues with the product or customer service, also the price was super good back then. Now seeing the increase in popularity, price and all the complaints makes me not want to get anymore bags from them. Número Un is kinda soft in calfskin and cyme is textured leather, both are structured but malleable!

got my neuf mini in nyc about a year ago now!! i got it because i agree with you the design is so beautiful although the style leans more feminine so i kinda have to consider the outfits i wear with it. leather feels rly nice and i havent had any issues with quality so far (havent worn it toooo much tho). i will say my only complaint with the neuf is the opening is a bit hard to get things in and out of even though it can carry a decent amount. also the frabic inside lining doesn’t full lay flat. i am so tempted to get the cyme mini or beri!!! in store is def the way to go!!!

I have the numero un nano and cyme, bought two years ago. I like the nano, it’s small and unique enough and holds a lot, and for some reason, I enjoy closing the magnet closure 😂. The cyme however, I hate it. It’s a nice unique design (as most Polene bags) , but it’s just not functional for me. It’s not easy to find a bag organizer that fits well (unique design) and the short and long handle straps drive me crazy! They are both soft straps so it’s easy to mistakenly grab one long and one short, and even though I tried to tug the shorter handles inside the bag, it didn’t work well. It’s now just a bag to look at on my shelf. Quality wise, they are fine as they were bought before the boom. I won’t buy anymore polene though. I found a brand that has many similar designs and better value. Not gonna discuss further here for obvious reason.😊
I went to one of the Paris Polene boutiques November last year, intending to get 2-3 bags from there, but left in disappointment. The quality is really bad, with glazing all over the place on the display bag, the leather was really stiff like u said and lastly many items had to be ordered online! What's the point to go to the physical shop then?? I never looked at their bags online since then.
I purchased my first Polene bag no un about five years ago and paid ~$250. And the no. Dix in late 2022 and paid $360. Both are stiff leather, which I’m not a fan of. Barely use either one of these bags.

Maybe it’s just me but the off center logo on the cyme bugs me 😅 I have the Dix in dark green and the Tonca in duo camel, bought them in NYC and def recommend purchasing in store. The Tonca is softer than the Dix and the Dix texture wise feels saffiano ish but it still squishier than like, Kate Spade saffiano. I would look closely at the material description bc some are full grain vs calf leather. Both come with a shoulder strap option now so they’re very versatile (Tonca didn’t used to be shoulder carry). They need to open one in LA pls. The price increases are def wild for the decreasing quality though!
I got a Nodde at the beginning of its launch. I will say that the leather feels good, the suede inside is nice, and the overall craftsmanship is good (aside from a few messy stitches). I’d say my experience was fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing negative. I don’t use my bag much anymore only because the opening is way too small for me. I see people wear their Polene bags (I work at coach) and they do seem semi stiff. Sort of like Gucci Leather. I wouldn’t buy Polene for their leather quality, but rather their unique designs. Too bad the quality went down 👎🏼

Hi Maggy! I went to the Polene Tokyo store last November. I have to say the customer service is amazing. However, I didn't enjoy lining up for almost 4 hours. 😂 I bought a Numero Un for my friend and tried the Neuf for myself. Overall, I liked the experience and so far, my friend loves the look and quality of the bag. 😊
I have bought two polene bags, not directly from the stores though. But both had their issues. My dix stitching on the strap was a bit loose on 1 hole so it came off, but not a big issue. My mini cyme was a bit torn on the strap, seems like they stitched it too tightly that it cut through the leather. So I will need to be careful on using the bag But both are gorgeous bags.

I have the large Cyme bag and I don’t like it. Not stylewise, it is a pretty design, but unfortunately very unpractical, which I only learned after some use, as everybody was praising it…:
1. Given its rounded shape, you cannot store rectangular things properly in the bag. They will always sit angulated. Smaller stuff will just tumble around like in a washing machine, except you put everything in pouches (I am not that type though).
2. The double handle. The short ones don‘t store away like on the LV On the Go. They stand up. Means, if you wanna grab your bag fastly by the long handles and hurle it on your shoulder, depending on your arm length your elbow will get stuck in one opening of the short handles. Happens alot with me. Alternate scenario, you catch one long and one short handle, your bag tips and things fall out.
3. The leather is sturdy but not quality leather. It is hard, like cheaper Saffiano. It is forgiving and sturdy though. But if you are a lover of quality leather like on Loewe bags, it is just not nice. It is better than the Demellier leather though.
I got the Cyme for around 320€ longer time ago. I think that price was okish. Now I would save up and invest in some higher quality luxury brand.

I haven’t bought Poléne bags since I first went ham in 2022. I have the Cyme mini in lilac, Nano Un mini in chalk (gold chain), and Neuf mini in camel. I love them! They’ve genuinely held up so well and also feel luxurious. They’re stiff in maintaining their silhouettes or overall design but they’re comfy and usable. Not so stiff that it’s heavy or feels like paper or construction. On that note, after all the recent reviews AND price hikes, I’ve absolutely turned off from ever buying again unless I’m in store on a special trip (also on west coast). Idk if I’ll ever buy again unless the consensus turned around. I considered myself lucky to have purchased when I did before they exploded and lost their way. I’ll prob keep my mini collection for as long as possible. They just don’t seem to make them or sell them like they used to. Still look so beautiful, unique, and I always get the most compliments. I’m definitely a fan of their aesthetic but I can’t justify buying today. Hope you’re listening Poléne. 😅

All of your Polene thoughts are my thoughts. I agree with everything you said. The Huit bag is so unique it was my first choice. I’m not even mad about the quality control, I’m most mad about the horrible customer service. Like I get it, not every bag is going to be perfect but your customer service better make it right.
My mom bought a *esluxy* Hermès and she loves it. It has been there for over 10 years when she went out.

I own the large Cyme bag. And I love it. I have been using it daily as a work bag since March. I stuff it to the brim and it’s the only bag that does not give me shoulder pain. Even my LV Neverfull can get uncomfortable. In fact just yesterday I was shopping for over 2 hrs in the mall, constantly wearing it and it held the weight of all the shopping just fine. I know some ppl complain about the base but honestly it does not bother me and I tend to fit items like a puzzle in the base.
One thing I noticed is when you first get the bag, no matter what you do it will not hold the “winged out” shape. But now after using it a while it is holding it just fine. I’ve also noticed the leather is becoming a bit softer which to me means the quality is there.
I bought mine off Poshmark even though it was sold as new. That would be my recommendation, buy one second hand and see if you like it. I plan on getting another one next year when I’m in NYC. I’m not sure about buying it directly from the website. Initially when I went to the website it was always on back-order. After tracking it for 3 months I just went with Poshmark because I’m impatient. 😅
The Cyme looks like such a great "adventure day" bag like going to the beach or just needing things for any situation! But that's what I was worried about -- the weight so good to know it's not that heavy and love that the leather has soften over time -- forever a lived in bag lover! This was very helpful :)

I bought the Polene Numero Neuf bag three years ago. I have worn the bag many times and have not noticed any wear and tear. However, when I recently bought the Polene Cyme bag, the quality was no longer there. The bag had no structure, scratches on the leather and the handles were so unstable that I was worried that they would tear as soon as I put something in the bag. However, the return shipment and refund went smoothly. Perhaps it was because I live in Europe. But I found it shocking that the quality had deteriorated so much 🙁

My friend went to the Polene store in Japan and I went to the one in France. I believe the Japan one had better in person customer service and the service I had in Paris was basically, "fend for yourself" lol
Japan was busier and in Paris I could just walk in.
I personally was not impressed by the quality and I was so excited too as I had intended to buy the mini huit (#8). Like you said, its modern design with a femininity with the scalloped edges. It was so cute! I think my problem with it is I was disappointed with the way the handles/straps distort (probably from the way they store it) but it shows they dont care about their merchandise, the service, the glazing and the thinness/plushness of the leather itself. Specifically about the huit, I did not like how much the style jutted out from my hip area no matter how much I adjusted the straps to fit my body. So for the price, I just walked away. I told my friend I was unimpressed so I convinced her to not spend her money there either. I'm probably being too picky on them but, I still expect quality if I am paying hundreds of dollars. Whether they are designer or not, I look at glue residue or stitching in all areas of wearable items. Companies need to do well in their QC for customers to trust them and to keep coming back. Knowing now of Polene's price increases and quality declining, I'm glad I trusted my gut to not spend my money there and I'm quite happy as I spent it on delicious food instead. 😂

Here's a fact I know when I visit Bali: they price it higher for foreigners and domestic tourists, but lower for locals (usually tourist spots), so I usually go in*preluxz* Go shopping.

polene bags are mostly on the structured side so obviously you won't get that soft leather feeling that unstructured bags like the flamenco or the loulou have, that doesn't mean the leather is of less quality though, it's just the way they are designed and intentionally made
then again i totally understand the concern one would have from all the reviews online, maybe i just got lucky with mine
after finishing the video, i don't think you would like the numero dix as it is definitely stiff!
i personally don't mind, what bothers me is when the leather finish feels too thick or plasticky (like the saffiano or the epi), the numero dix "stiffness" comes from the material they put inside to hold the structure not from the leather finish, hope that helps!

I bought a messenger style Polene, but the strap wasn’t an accurate measurement to their site. It was much shorter. As I remember, the leather wasn’t impressive. I had no reply from customer service and had to chase them down through social media (Facebook, Instagram). Paid their $40 (shipping both ways) just grateful to get mostly refunded.

Yes the color of the *gtdupe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I ordered the UN Nano bag. When it was delivered it was HARDER than cardboard. The flap would barely open because it was so stiff. I really liked the color, concept, & design but it literally felt like it was molded out of concrete. 😢 they were great about my request to return and get my money back. (After a return fee)

Hi Maggy! I’ve started to see bad Polene reviews, too, and I have to say that I’m surprised. I own 3 Polene bags and 1 wallet and sent back two others I purchased because I didn’t like the styles. All of my purchases were made between 2021 and 2023. I’ve had no quality issues at all, and no issues with customer service when I wanted to return. The bags I have (Cyme Mini, Numero Dix, and Numero Sept mini) are well-made, look just like the photos, and are comfortable and practical to use. Also, I don’t know if reviews say this, but the pieces I have are all lightweight, which is something I highly value.
It’s always hard to know what to make of reviews. Are unhappy customers more likely to post reviews than happy customers? How much weight do you give one person’s (like me) good experiences? I think what makes it especially difficult for someone who is still deciding whether they want to buy Polene is that, as you said, you can’t try the bags on because there aren’t many stores (but I live in SoCal, too, and have seen a few at South Coast). And because you have to pay $20 for shipping and returning, you’re in for at least $40 even if you return a bag. I was okay with this risk when I ordered because the bag designs are unique and affordable (relatively).
I wanted to also mention: I own Flamenco as well and you’re totally right that the Polene leather is nothing like what you get in a Flamenco. But I’d say that makes sense. Polene’s bags are very structural in design, and if they were made of super soft leather, they’d be floppy and lose that quality. So I wouldn’t consider the structure in the leather a mark against the brand, as it’s part of the design.
The one complaint I have is that the prices have skyrocketed. A bag I bought about a year ago for $460 is now $580. I get that price increases happen, but that’s a 26% increase in a year. If I were buying now I’d be more salty about having to pay for shipping.
The Cyme mini is definitely not a tiny bag. I bought it to carry to work when I need to carry my agenda (I have the LV desk agenda for reference) but not my laptop. It’s big enough for things like that, but doesn’t feel like a WORK bag. So it’s spacious without being big!

I think that’s where a lot of the bad reviews are centered around - with the price increases AND inconsistent customer service. How can they raise prices by such a high percentage while also not maintaining the previous quality and CS. It can leave a bitter taste for sure. But I’m so glad you enjoy your bags! From my research the majority of the quality issues stems from the last 1.5 years. So you definitely made the cusp on the better experience and quality bags 🐢

If you asked me whether I'd buy my bags again at the current prices, I don't know if the answer would be yes. When they were in the $300-$400 range it was an obvious 'yes.' But if you're pricing is $450-$600 there is a lot of competition in that range. So even if people weren't reporting quality and CS issues, it'd be a harder sell. Luckily you have a beautiful collection--you're not missing out on Polene, you'd just be adding a bit of something extra if you got a Polene bag. At least, that's how it looks from the outside! 😊

I have a numero dix i bought from three years ago and one of the “studs” of thr bag fell out. I emailed them for a repair, they responded immediately and received a shipping label for free. It was back repaired in less than a month. 😊 i love my bag so much and the leather even after three years of using it a lot still holds up pretty well

I bought a polene bag before the quality and customer service scandal started. So my bag is the high quality kind luckily. Now, even if there is a model I want - I am afraid to buy. Those who want a polene bag - it is better to look second hand, and find out with the seller when the bag was bought. Another point - once the quality scandal started, they raised the prices illogically... so that's really annoying

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *esluxy* If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.
I still love my LV reverse monogram *amzrepe* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

I bought three bags from polene awhile ago, the second one had quality issues. I paid $60 to return it to Spain (this was when they only had one shop in Paris so all returns had to go to their factory). They didn’t refund my money until I followed up with them several times. I was super annoyed but I still bought the Beri bag after that experience, and it’s held up well. Their leather quality reminds me of cuyana but of course polene has more interesting designs. The Dix is super stiff and hard to get in and out of, nothing like the Ava bag.

There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *esluxy* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.

You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *gtdupe* are not real name brand. That's one reason why I don't go thrifting anymore. Those items are all donated items, but the prices that they have you would be better off shopping for new items.

Polene is my first luxury bag that I bought brand new. I went to the Tokyo location in Omotesando and I have to say, other than a snarky security guard and the wait in line under hot sun, I have a very good experience. I went in looking for Cyme since I've wanted it for 2+ years and despite that price increase I still love mine. The SAs were super nice, and the one who helped me was very elegant, older Japanese woman who brought me all available colours and let me walk around and trying it in front of the mirrors over and over and over again. I also had a lovely chat with the other customers and a customer with very elegant picotin persuaded me to get taupe instead of black and I was grateful for her advice! The first bag she brought me had a small scratch on it so I pointed it out and she went back and get a new one for me. She also helped me take a picture after I finished my payment so all in all very very nice experience!!

I stayed away from Polene because I first saw it being promoted the same way as Senreve. I loved the silhouettes so eventually I went to check them out in person at the NYC store. Super disappointed, most of the bags felt flimsy, the only bag I liked was the Cyme. The Umi also felt substantial, but it doesn’t even look like they carry it anymore. I decided against getting the Cyme for work because I feared it would just flop over and still my items. I loved the canvas version, but it was only a $60 difference. I wished there was a brand that combined Coach’s quality with Polene’s style.
Also, I’ve seen CZcamsrs that got their bags for free give away their Polene bags or it’s just no longer in their collections or talked about anymore.
YES the senreve bags LOL I would legit see people that only bought Hermes or Chanel promoting senreve bags and it just didn’t feel genuine at all - and now all their current bag collections not a single senreve has been kept and I’m sure they only had it bc they were gifted it.
And the polene videos I see - if someone is promoting it but they say that polene let them buy anything in the store - immediately I take what they say with a grain of salt 👽

Not gonna lie. I OWN the authentic in that same exact color and I STILL got it wrong! And I even use the bag every single day! Only goes to show how damn good these *preluxz* are visually. Now guessing which is the fake by feeling them both in my hands is another story.
Like other brands, the softness depends on the style. The Cyme bag is more structured so the leather is not squishy. The Neuf is soft and squishy. The Cyme would not hold its shape if it was softer and it is honestly one of my favorite bags. I use the smaller more. I haven’t had any issues with any of my Polene but I got mine before all the backlash began.

For a long time, with the price of Chanel going up, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy that I have a *gtdupe* as my travel bag and I don't have to take care of it. By the way, I believe no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I have 4 Polene bags purchased over the last 4 years, and have never had a single problem with any of them. The small Cyme I bought 6 months ago and it is performing beautifully. I'm sure some people have had bad experiences but I can speak for my self and I think they are worth every penny.

I have had the Numéro Un Nano in the textured black. (it was $380 at the time) I did love it, but it was just too small for me and what I like to carry. I ended up giving it to my mom, since she carries less and she loves it. However, the leather bits on the strap are peeling off, and I only have had it since Oct '23. I can confirm, it is very stiff 🥲
I know in January they raised their prices by like 20% 😮💨 but see one year should be the MINIMUM of it staying pristine or at least just not peeling like goodness!
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the *yutulu* bag, I believe that as long as you are not a professional, you will never see any difference .

Hi, I just bought my first Polene bag, the large Cyme, but I am now concerned about all the reviews I have read concerning the quality. I love the design of the bag. I found the customer service response fast, and the bag arrived from Spain to the UK within two days. It looks lovely, the packaging was nice, and I see no imperfections, but I wonder if I should return it due to the adverse reviews.
I ended up getting two polene bags last year around this time to wear to my sister's wedding and beyond and was quite nervous to purchase. But both ended up happy- exact color and style in addition to holding up pretty well for wearing for months straight. I bought the mini neuf and the mini huit and I ended up using the neuf so much (I consider getting another neuf, but the price increase deters me). The huit is gorgeous, but the non-detachable strap prevents me from wearing it to the same degree since if I wanted to do a top handle, I would have to tuck in the longer strap. Both bags have a con of getting in and out of the bag, but is also a pro to some degree since my stuff doesn't fall out. As someone that is on the petite side but I carry a lot of stuff around, they hold a surprising amount of despite being the minis.
Edit: to speak to the leather, soft but the huit is very stiff and really holds the shape, the neuf has a bit more softness.

I love the design, but I don't have the budget. So I bought the *gtdupe* bag. Made from high quality legal snakeskin made by local Indonesian artists. From now on I never want to buy any luxury goods.

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
For me I’ve never really loved the styles. I think if I could see it in person, maybe I’d consider it.
The somewhat abstract design is definitely in its own lane so totally get that

I have multiple Polene bags. Being first is un nano, which I got for $290 back then, and it still looks brand new after using and abusing it! I have the large Cyme too, which I use daily for work with no problem. The Le Cabas bag, which is discontinued now, has a problem with stitching. I emailed them, and they responded two days later. I sent the bag to Spain with a prepaid label, and they fixed it for free even though I had it in my possession (and used it) for three months after purchasing it. This way back in 2022. Maybe I got lucky with their customer service at that time? Some of their bags are not worth the price tag now, but if you find something that fits your lifestyle, it'll work just as well as other fashion houses. =)
I bought my mom the Cyme 2yrs ago for Christmas and she loves it. The only downside is she said it can get heavy since it is all leather.
I almost got a Polène bag for my birthday but pulled the trigger on an edgier shearling bag 6 months ago. You're so lucky to live in LA! The nearest designer store to me is 2 hours away
It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on the craftsmen and quality inspection. My family and I have purchased D U P B A G Y bags over the past three years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
I have two pre-loved *preluxz* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

Hi Maggy! I’ve never shopped with Polene, but from someone I know who has purchased two or three bags from them, they’ve had great experience with their purchases and quality of the bags. I saw the Numero Dix in person while out eating ramen, and it’s so cute.

I have the Polene Numero Dix which I bought in Paris 2 years ago. As you mentioned, prices have gone up a lot since then. It is a very structured bag. Very stiff and does not have any give at all. So you know cresent shape bags are tricky to put things in to begin with. Even more so with this because it is very stiff. And BTW, it comes with 2 leather straps, not just one. So you can really wear it multiple different lengths.
the MoMcoco would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!

I bought mine before 2021, I have the número un nano and the mini cyme and both are impeccable and didn’t have issues with the product or customer service, also the price was super good back then. Now seeing the increase in popularity, price and all the complaints makes me not want to get anymore bags from them. Número Un is kinda soft in calfskin and cyme is textured leather, both are structured but malleable!

got my neuf mini in nyc about a year ago now!! i got it because i agree with you the design is so beautiful although the style leans more feminine so i kinda have to consider the outfits i wear with it. leather feels rly nice and i havent had any issues with quality so far (havent worn it toooo much tho). i will say my only complaint with the neuf is the opening is a bit hard to get things in and out of even though it can carry a decent amount. also the frabic inside lining doesn’t full lay flat.
i am so tempted to get the cyme mini or beri!!! in store is def the way to go!!!
There's nothing wrong with counterfeit fashion products, as long as they're not fragrances, and as long as they sell for significantly less than the actual product from the manufacturer in question. *hotdups* bags are awesome. Prices are all around $150.
Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 years old. I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your friends! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don't want to spend so much money now, I have *gtdupe* bought the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability

I have the numero un nano and cyme, bought two years ago. I like the nano, it’s small and unique enough and holds a lot, and for some reason, I enjoy closing the magnet closure 😂. The cyme however, I hate it. It’s a nice unique design (as most Polene bags) , but it’s just not functional for me. It’s not easy to find a bag organizer that fits well (unique design) and the short and long handle straps drive me crazy! They are both soft straps so it’s easy to mistakenly grab one long and one short, and even though I tried to tug the shorter handles inside the bag, it didn’t work well. It’s now just a bag to look at on my shelf. Quality wise, they are fine as they were bought before the boom. I won’t buy anymore polene though. I found a brand that has many similar designs and better value. Not gonna discuss further here for obvious reason.😊
I went to one of the Paris Polene boutiques November last year, intending to get 2-3 bags from there, but left in disappointment. The quality is really bad, with glazing all over the place on the display bag, the leather was really stiff like u said and lastly many items had to be ordered online! What's the point to go to the physical shop then?? I never looked at their bags online since then.

I purchased my first Polene bag no un about five years ago and paid ~$250. And the no. Dix in late 2022 and paid $360. Both are stiff leather, which I’m not a fan of. Barely use either one of these bags.

Maybe it’s just me but the off center logo on the cyme bugs me 😅 I have the Dix in dark green and the Tonca in duo camel, bought them in NYC and def recommend purchasing in store. The Tonca is softer than the Dix and the Dix texture wise feels saffiano ish but it still squishier than like, Kate Spade saffiano. I would look closely at the material description bc some are full grain vs calf leather. Both come with a shoulder strap option now so they’re very versatile (Tonca didn’t used to be shoulder carry). They need to open one in LA pls. The price increases are def wild for the decreasing quality though!
I got a Nodde at the beginning of its launch. I will say that the leather feels good, the suede inside is nice, and the overall craftsmanship is good (aside from a few messy stitches).
I’d say my experience was fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing negative. I don’t use my bag much anymore only because the opening is way too small for me.
I see people wear their Polene bags (I work at coach) and they do seem semi stiff. Sort of like Gucci Leather. I wouldn’t buy Polene for their leather quality, but rather their unique designs.

Hi Maggy! I went to the Polene Tokyo store last November. I have to say the customer service is amazing. However, I didn't enjoy lining up for almost 4 hours. 😂 I bought a Numero Un for my friend and tried the Neuf for myself. Overall, I liked the experience and so far, my friend loves the look and quality of the bag. 😊

I have bought two polene bags, not directly from the stores though. But both had their issues. My dix stitching on the strap was a bit loose on 1 hole so it came off, but not a big issue.
My mini cyme was a bit torn on the strap, seems like they stitched it too tightly that it cut through the leather. So I will need to be careful on using the bag
But both are gorgeous bags.
