This is how life should be lived. Well done on another great video :)
Cool bones in the quarry. Enjoyed Nick’s cowboy vibe also.
I was in Dinosaur in September and I stayed in that same site! Such a great campsite! I didn’t have time to see the quarry but I did a sunrise hike along the river. Such a beautiful place!
I love camping, and I love dinosaurs. Possibly camping amongst the ghosts of massive prehistoric beasts, sign me up please. Awesome video. 🦖🦕👍
What a fun video! Loved seeing you both play in the water and visit Dinosaur National Monument! The pre-made salads are always in our camp fridge too! And the sloppy joes looked great!
Everyone loves you. Awesome channel and even more awesome human being.
You were in Vernal??? my home town!! When you guys are back again, come for dinner, my wife makes killer dishes. You are invited.
We absolutely loved Vernal! We can't wait to go back and explore more. 😁

I’m in Baton Rouge waiting out this hurricane and feeling a little frazzled. This was just the escape I needed. I can’t wait for camping this fall. Thank you, Amanda! 🍁 🏕
Thank You so much for your great 👍 video of your adventures in God's great outdoors
Thank you so much for sharing your trip! I can tell you had BIG fun! 😀 Keep those videos coming! 🤗🤗
It was definitely one of my favorite trips of the summer. Thank you for watching!
Dinosaur NM is such a great park. I was there back in June. Loved seeing quarry. I also loved seeing the petroglyphs along the road. I was only there for a couple days, but would love to go back and stay for a much longer time.
Loved this video! I definitely need to go to Utah someday. Also the sloppy joes looked delicious!
Good video. Looks like a neat place to visit.
What a fun video! By the way, I love Nick's hat!
Such a cool video, I LOVE dinosaurs!!! I'm putting this place on my bucket list. Also y'all's sloppy joes looked epic! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Yea getting to see the dinosaur bones was incredible. It's something I've wanted to do for a while now. Nick was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid so he absolutely loved this trip!
Looks like fun times for you guys, enjoy thnx for sharing our state fun🥂🥂🌈
Utah really is the best! I've been here for about 8 years and there's still so much I haven't done! Thank you for watching 😁
Great video this area looked like so much fun! I am relatively new to your channel but I've learned so much from you so far!! My daughter just moved to Salt Lake City area and I am trying to find some new hiking/backpacking locations to check out while I'm visiting her! It appears there is so much to do in the state of Utah! I live in Mississippi, so am in a conpletely different area in need of some adventures!
We visited the Quarry Hall and hiked the short trail down to the visitors center a few weeks ago. We weren’t there for long, but it was amazing to see (and touch) the fossils that were embedded in the rock. We also went to see the petroglyphs at “Swelter Shelter”. The Field Museum in Vernal was also one of the places we visited on our trip. Living vivaciously through you right now!
Getting to see and touch the dinosaur bones was incredible! There's so much to do in Vernal so I definitely want to go back!
I went there when I was a kid in the 70s drove to there from Indianapolis. Then drove all the way to Oregon. Good memories
It's such a beautiful place! I can't wait to go back. There's still so much I didn't see.
This looked like so much fun! Thank you... Nick!😂😂😂 (just kidding Amanda)
Utah loves u.
I was there years ago but didn't camp. Next time I will! Great video!
I'm already so excited to go back. The campsite we got at Dinosaur national monument was such a nice secluded spot. It didn't feel like a campground at all! Thanks for watching!
Great video again Amanda, really like your raft. Think out of the way fly casting. You may find good results with better tracking with your raft if you were to tie off a 12-15 foot length of line (rope) off the back. You’ll find it acts like a rudder and make it easier for you to go straight. Enjoy and please update us on your water bound adventures
Thank you so much for that tip! I was having a hard time going straight. I'm so excited for all the new water adventures with the raft!
Fantastic video Amanda, love the Dinosaur bones really incredible.
Quick question is it safe to swim in the river?
Yea the dinosaur bones are so incredible to see. I love challenging my mind to think about how long ago they were here and how big they were. It's just so cool! I think swimming might depend on the area of the river you're on? I think depending on the time of year and the water flow, the current can be really strong, but there might be designated swimming areas, I'm just not sure.
that’s also what i sound like when i’m at 100. props nick! 💯👍🏼
Nice Stetson, Nick. The pasta salad made me hungry!!
Nick is obsessed with that hat! 😂
We have a pretty amazing State don't we?
Thank you for another great video! How do you keep your cast iron pan so well seasoned?
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. I use my cast iron pan all the time and I'm really careful about how I clean it so the seasoning stays in good shape. In general, I try not to use soap. I think in all the years I've had my pan I've used soap once or twice.
I’m going to a whole bunch of national parks in Utah at the end of sept and I’m pumped! First time doing anything like this. If you have any tips/insight for summer into fall weather there I would appreciate it. Trying to figure out what clothes to pack
That sounds like an awesome trip! I have a lot of Utah content on my blog which might be helpful as you're planning. Going into the fall you can expect a wide range of temperatures. Since there's not a lot of humidity, it can be really hot in the day and cool off pretty quickly once the sun goes down. Monsoon season is July, August, and September. During this time, powerful thunderstorms can come through and dump several inches of rain in just a few hours, so you'll need to be aware of that and always check the weather and check for any flash flood warnings. I hope you have a great trip and enjoy the beautiful national parks!!
Great video! Do you know what the key magnet is called?
I've had mine for so many years I don't even remember where I got it or what the official name is. Maybe a key lockbox for the car? If I had to guess, I think I got it at REI.
Awesome video!! What brand of raft did you purchase? Those would be super handy for my upcoming trip, instead of lugging around our kayaks!
I bought my raft from Alpacka Raft. Unfortunately they have a really long production time. It is nice to have something so packable though. I am excited to take it out on some alpine lakes! 😁
I live in Seattle and I go hiking and kayaking a lot and sometimes need to take the ferry back to the city and bring my kayak on board with me. I have the pelican maxim 100X 10ft kayak and it is super lightweight 🚣♀️
Did you go to the Gates of Lodor? It's on the north side of Dinosaur, on the CO side.
No not on this trip. The national monument is huge! I'm hoping to go back and do a rafting trip next time!
Have you ever or would you ever come to Canada camping?
I've been to Canada a few times but never to camp. I would love to plan another trip up there. I really want to go to Banff!
@@amanda.outside Banff is nice, but Let's not forget Eastern Canada - New Brunswick, PEI and if you really brave Newfoundland :)
Well the abundance of poison ivy there was disappointing. I certainly did not expect that in Utah. I've been to Zion and Bryce Canyon NPs, and only encountered a little of it at Zion.
I was definitely surprised. I very rarely see it, but that was the most I've ever seen in one spot here in Utah.
Stupid question... What boots/shoes are Nick wearing in the video?? I've been looking for a pair just like that (thin sole and zero drop)!
enjoyed seeing how much fun you can have even in UTAH !!! LOL ... great comfort food dinner
Utah is the best 😊 Can't go wrong with sloppy joes!
I've tried out quite a few of your cooks and they've been super great. I'm in North Idaho and as you can imagine we've been dealing with burn bans so ways of cooking with gas/etc fires has been my go to. Awesome information in every video, keep it up!
I'm so happy to hear that you've enjoyed the recipes!! We've had fire restrictions here too, so I've been using the camp stove a lot!
@@amanda.outside Hey also if you guys are down, look up stuff related to the geology of your area, its honestly mind blowing. I'm jealous you got to touch dinos in the ground like that!
It's always brown. Haha
Ananda…you and Nick are a good advertisement for camping out West. All my camping experiences have been in the Midwest
Continuing Amanda….Wisconsin, Minnesota, The BWCA, Michigan, the UP. You certainly make a case for traveling out west!
I grew up in Connecticut, but I've been living in Utah for about 8 years now and absolutely love it! 😁
Almost to beautiful for words
Hi, how to contact with you for cooeration, thanks
Your man has Awesome hair.
Sorry but this is an important question for me. You said it was hot, how hot? I love short hikes and car camping but I have to give serious consideration to the heat. I am 70 years old. Thank you
It was around 90F during the day. Since we don't have much humidity here in Utah things cool down in the evening, but that's why we wanted to find water on the second day! Perfect weather for swimming.
@@amanda.outside Thank you! You are so kind. I am learning so much from you (and nick😂) Bless you both.
