just to note, Lana has only progressed vocally as she’s furthered into her career, maybe one of the biggest improvements I’ve ever seen in an artist over the years! she started off with a lot of critique and I think that knocked her confidence a lot. excited that you’re diving into Lana but can’t wait for you to react to some more recent performances 😄 p.s I still love this Lana, I just think she has really honed in her talent!!

This is definitely not her best, she has a lot of stage fright and she has also improved vocally over the years. Some of her lives are bad but the newer ones are fucking amazing, truly enchanting.
I saw Lana live over a year ago, and her stage/live performance has improved by leaps and bounds since this. She's really gotten over her stage fright that colored a lot of peoples views of her early on. She is absolutely amazing live and I highly recommend if you continue to view her live performances you look at her most recent stuff to really get an appreciation for her talent!
If you enjoy Lana's higher register, I can't wait for you to get into Lana's latest albums. I'm so excited to see her live in February
My poor baby and her stage fright, she still has it but it was worse when she first started.
Her first live performance I saw was Summertime Sadness at Glastonbury. It was so bad I got confused how she could become such a big name.

I binged all the live videos of her I could find a while back, and the really cool thing about Lana is that she experiments so much with her voice. The same song can sound totally different and have many different takes to it depending on what version of it she feels like giving her audience any given day.
Her best live vocal performances are when she sang “Terrance loves you” in Barcelona.. seriously beautiful
she said that she is more like a studio girl, cause she doesnt like big crowds, she doesnt like singing in front a lot of ppl, shes a good singer, but u can see she gets too nervous sometimes and its not good ahahhahahaha

Seeing Lana live was so special... And i would recommend it to everyone.
This was one of her first performances in front of the camera as Lana Del Rey... it came out even before the album Born to Die. It was one of the first things I’d seen of her. I can’t wait until you listen to Ultraviolence, some of her best vocals are on that album.
Don't worry about loving her so many guys including me and celebs have expressed their love and crushes for her. Including Marylin Manson, Axel Rose, James Franco, M shadows, ASAP rocky, the weekend, etc....... the list goes on and on and on.

I really love the original recorded Born To Die, with the instruments and all, but this love version is really something else. The way it's made into a totally different feel with mainly just the piano, and the last part of the song here, makes it the best live version of this song ever.

she used to have stage fright. she improved vocally through the years. this is one of her first performances. she used her lower voice in that performance but she can manipule her voice in many ways, she doesn't use her lower voice recently.

@@HaileyLove11 sure but in my opinion her best live performances are the ones from the LA to the moon tour. Her voice just sounds so much cleaner and pure.
@@videoddrome I disagree I think paradise tour and ultra violence was her best lives, she's using too much playback now people complained about that during her recent festivals. Out of all her tours La to the moon was my least favorite.

I have to agree and disagree at the same time. Lana live in an intimate setting (like this one, or in a radio studio) is gold... pure gold. Lana live in a large venue though... I have yet to find an example of her sounding good in a large venue. Don't get me wrong... it's not her. It's the sound engineers. She is almost always mic'd super low and you can't even hear her. I have even seen her singing over her own track in some shows. As a HUGE fan of Lana, it's so frustrating because I want to see her live, but I'm not shelling out $150-200 (for the cheap seats) to go see the quality I have seen in videos of her concerts. On this current tour, I was seconds away from plunking down 450 for a couple seats at Hollywood Bowl... went and watched a couple of her shows from earlier this summer and backed out. It's such a shame. ...I'll continue to buy every album she makes though ;)
Anyone else actually seen her live that can dispute this????? ...I still have time to get some last minute ticks for that show if you can talk me into it.

Personally, I really dislike Lana's lower register during 2011-12 because it always sounded forced (and in a way it was; she lowered her tone of voice since she felt her natural voice hadn't been successful with audiences.) She's really become more comfortable on stage now and her lower voice now sounds a lot more natural. She's great live! Also, Steven if you want some background on her, I'd watch the video "The Authenticity of LANA DEL REY
" here on CZcams so you get a sense of her career/struggles during the Born to Die era, which impacts later songs you'll be hearing. As a die-hard fan, I like the analysis the guy does on her and think it's worth a watch--you don't have to react to it at all btw.
