I was gutted I missed the ones at Stanton last week, I was on nights so couldn’t get back in time to get them and they were gone when I got there. I never thought I would have the chance to try and get one so was properly gutted 😂

It was a near thing. She obviously isn’t aware that the drone can fly over the property without permission.
Actually the lady did great over all . She is allowed to question but didn't pursue too much and stayed friendly and professional, well done that lady.

I'm American and cannot get over how everything is just mixed up together in this country. No zoning at all like you get back home. From the drone you can see residential, commercial and industrial units all side by side. I personally think it works better. Zoning that we have back in the US really does breed car dependency and miles of boring subburbs. I love how here you can just head out down to the local shops by foot for groceries or wine! 😂

Like you say, zoning requires transport to get to so the principle is now mixed employment and residential to encourage less transport reliance although it is to a point. We do still have industrial estates purely zoned for business on the outskirts of towns and cities.

When they all say, repeatedly, "i don't get why you're doing it or I don't understand what you get out of it" the answer should be "You don't have to, i'm doing what I want for ME not YOU" This woman was ok in the end but others have been aggressive, rude, liers etc.
Alot of projects have induction labels on helmets, but the staff can be agency or project workers that jump from one job to the next.
Nice one DJ , have the same drone and do a bit of flying in my local area and do a drone safe check before flying. I have been challenged a few times with people and they are not so nice , I direct them to your videos to educate them , although some responses I have a great laugh at as some people think they are always right even when they are wrong . 🚀🚀
I worked on the Tinsley Viaduct for 2 years. We were strengthening the bridge to allow heavier trucks coming from abroad. We put in 250,000 bolts and put on steel plates. To add to the strength

I really enjoyed working there, except being stuck in a box for 10 hours a day lol. Because of the logistics we were not allowed a tea break, but got our 10 minutes added onto our 30 minute lunch break.

I'm so impressed by the cameras on those small drones , the footage is crystal clear, when I first heard about them I was expecting the footage to be broken up or out of focus , but the footage of the city was excellent, seeing Villa Park in the background was good.
I wanted to get one of the keyrings, but I couldn't get over there in time since I live in Dayton,Iowa U.S. ☹️

They have been reinforcing under the Aston Expressway and Spaghetti Junction for decades, I think the concrete started to crumble on the pillars and it took years to repair.
It's ongoing, like painting the Forth Road Bridge. The cameras are there just in case someone tries to blow up the supports.

it's a bi-directional expressway hence the red crosses...for example you will have 4 lanes going into the city during rush hour and 2 coming out....then it is reversed at night 4 coming out and 2 going in...
Yeah and I always hated it. Moved away now, but still remember hating it.
Interesting stuff DJ. Any engineering projects like that are always fascinating. The construction guys were good sports (great when they all started waving to D.A.V.I.D 😂). I thought the lady at the end was going to undo the good work but she just about redeemed herself in the end 👍🏼😊
Strange seeing the A38 in the midlands, as I live near the far end in Cornwall.
The concrete under the motorway constantly has issues and as you say injected or repaired. I used to work under the motorways where they would inspect and repair. A massive cost to the government to be fair as they pay a fortune out. I worked with one guy and he used to rush his inspections or make the paperwork up and he alone cost them half a million pound in work not done properly lol. I heard the reason it has issues is there were many different contractors and the mixes / constructions of the beams was inconsistent.

Interesting and valuable info on the company and reassuring info about upgrades and maintenance on the highways for the public.
I don't have a problem satisfying someone's natural curiosity, but I'd have a big problem with someone starting a conversation which suggested that I was doing something wrong like "Have you got permission", along with a failure to identify themselves.

I've seen some amazing vids from you over the last seven days DJ. One thing I would like to suggest though: is to not let them know its for CZcams, because they start to come to their own conclusion and assumptions then. So I'd suggest - if I may. Don't let them know its for CZcams AND maybe even act a little subtly suspicious.
Maybe I'm right maybe I'm wrong. Me personally I love to see them confused.
A38 (m) called tidal flow, not a smart motorway, but has similarities.
7 lanes no central divider, a buffer lane with no traffic in either lanes 3, 4 or 5.
Typically 3 north 3 south, but in rush hours it becomes 4 in peak direction and 2 lanes in the opposite.
They post X or 50(max) across the whole motorway as a reminder, not to stray into opposing traffic.
