Omg the way this episode was done is just wow! I don't really know how to put it into words but wow, the first half of the episode was hard to watch, knowing what was going to happen to the kids and Ash... the scene with Nathan saying his best friend won't miss his birthday... 💔😭
You managed to develop this part of Ash's story in such a way that it really felt like it was part of the manga. The scene where Ash yells at the coach about how he killed the other boys... so powerful!!!
I also really loved the lighter and more heartwarming scenes with Ash and Eiji ❤ and the fact that Ash is going to therapy is what I wanted for him while watching the anime.
It's clear you put a lot of work and heart into this series and this feels like watching an actual episode, I almost forget it's not animated because I’m so immersed in the story.
Thank you for keeping the story going! You have filled a whole left after finishing watching and reading Banana Fish. And the story in general is really well written and I’m intrigued by this new leader of China town, he looks really cool!!!
And the new ending is so good!!!! I love that it's much happier and lighthearted than the first one, hope this means good things for the characters.

it's beautiful, it's heartbreaking, and your art is so atmospheric and the song choices perfectly emphasize the emotion of every scene. It's just GORGEOUS and i can't BELIEVE we get to have this just AHHH UR TALENT OMG
You showed Ash's childhood with such depth and full weight of the gravity and pain of it, and to see him recovering and in therapy - HAPPY - HAVING EIJI AND BEING A DOCTOR AND LIVING THE BEST LIFE HE CAN after ALL of that -- it's so comforting. The Ash and Eiji moments were so heartwarming!

I also want to mention how BEAUTIFUL the outro is? It's like, after all the pain of this episode and Ash's life in general, we're getting to see all the beautiful moments he had with Eiji, how much happier he is idk idk it's just So gorgeous and made me many things. I loooove love the outro and your song choice for it
