+RJKT Yeah I've been hearing a lot of talk about The Walking Dead being the #1 SHOW on T.V by far at the moment, and I'm talking statistically, but as soon as April 24th hits, BOOM!!!!! Peace out Walking Dead...not a big fan of that show btw, I mean I haven't really watched a lot of it, the first season seems really cool, but man it seems like it's really really dragging on and the whole zombie thing is so played out to me. GOT isn't dragging out for anyone that would argue that because it's trying to show the story through the books and the books go on and on and on.....I'm on the last book on page 450, and it's crazy cuz I have 550 more pages to read!!! haha LOVE LOVE LOVE this show, and I think season 6 is going to blow season 5, my least favorite season, out of the water!!

Spain has such a variety of environments that it's unreal. They filmed the entire movie Patton there using it for everything from North Africa to the Ardennes.
Yeah, Spain is incredible. There are enough different landscapes that they could literally film the whole series in Spain.

I know there's snow in spain but the scale of glaciers I associate with the lands beyond the Wall just doesn't exist in Spain. Unless it has turned into Greenland or Antarctica over night.

I had the pleasure to shoot as an extra in Girona for two days, skipping university, and I wouldnt change it for anything in the world: So much fun, incredible people, amazing shots and of course being a little part of Game of Thrones!! Willing to repeat next year ;)

I heard they were claiming for extras, so I searched and I saw on the newspaper that they had set a date for a casting. I went there with other 4.000 people, and after 4h waiting I was on the preselected (they wanted specific things like no tatoos, strange hair colour...) Next day they made us some photos, and somehow after a month I recieved a call to go to Girona (its near Barcelona where I live) to make a dressing "prove". And after that I was in! Just pay attention to the media to know if they are shooting near you. Definately they'll need extras and it was awesome

Hi, I'm from Spain. I still watch your epic masterpiece of television series. The truth is that I really like the stories of the characters, the battles, the romance, the betrayal and the families. But something that attracts me most the series are the locations of my country. I congratulate you that you have correctly chosen some places in Spain for some scenes. It is true, that Spain is beautiful and very hot, too. It is one of the countries that continues to maintain the castles, fortresses, cities and medieval ruins. Even the beaches, the sandy places and the landscapes are beautiful. I also like the other locations of other countries that you recorded, although I have not visited them yet. Once when I am in a place recorded by the series, I would feel as if I were living in the world of Game of Thrones.

I am very pleased and proud you chose such wonderful places in Spain I even myself haven't visited. I live in the north, in Bilbao, very close to the amazing location of Dragonstone (San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, in Bermeo). That place has always been incredible, but now it's even more famous after the series. You can almost imagine the dragons flying over the top.
Almería is one of the most amazing locations to film deserts, Bárdenas Reales is also a desert out of this world. I went to Seville last year and I can't believe that there's a place I think it's one ofthe most impressive in the world, the Real Alcázar. I was mouth open for three hours and I promised myself to visit Seville again in the future.

What my beloved compatriot really wanted to say is that we have, beside the things that usually attract tourists (like climate, party etc.), a rich culture and patrimony. I agree with this and I'm always glad to find spaniards that are proud of their country. However, once we agree on this, the sentence could be this one:
we [the spanish] have fiestas, gothic cathedrals, roman ruins, beautiful natural landscapes and women. This simply sounds as if we came out of the earth like potatoes, as if we were part of the patrimony and therefore another worth- seeing thing.
We are not part of the patrimony, we are part of the community. That's why the spanish don't have women, because women are the spanish as well. This is more obvious in spanish than in english because the expression used to say "spanish people" or "spaniards" in general is the masculine plural. If we have to use the masculine plural I'd like to feel included in it and I can't if somehow it's implicit that women are owned by men.
I could be proud of the spanish men being beautiful (because they are) but no one would say "the spanish have beautiful men" but "the spanish are beautiful". I don't know if I'm explaining myself well enough.
Obviously, this is not a life or death situation and I understand that you may not consider it important, but personally I would at least consider it an interesting point of view. However we, the spaniards, simply like to debate for the pleasure of debating. Have a nice day.

Its not the very north. Its actually the southern tip of Navarre, which is on the upper reaches of the Ebro river which flows through Zaragoza down to the Mediterranean. That whole valley is very dry almost right up to the coast. Another desert further downstream is called the Monegros. The driest place in Spain is still the South East though (Murcia and Almería)

David, you are ignorant. Tte Zafra Castle is not in the Zafra City (Extremadura), but in Guadalajara, near Teruel, which is a zone with very low population density. It is located in an isolated plateau. The sentence "in the middle of nowhere" is very appropriate.
