Thank you very much, Gary. I never thought that I would say this but I actually enjoy doing some of the reviews. Not all of them; some are just a pain in the butt. I like this xTool S1 a lot. I think it just might be a keeper. Of course, one of my grandchildren might have other ideas but they are mainly adults now so they could always buy their own. Right, like that's going to happen! 🤣😆

Hi Gord, Firstly I sincerely hope your treatment goes well and you are not unduly affected by it.
That is possibly one of the best lasers I have seen and your review is brilliant.
I did notice that the settings changed themselves for the curved engraving and as raven2512 explained it is for safety which is a great feature.
If I didn't already have an LM3 I would seriously consider buying one of these.
That reminds me I really must get on and learn how to use it and Lightburn LOL.

Yes, I get to keep them. With three “children” and four grandchildren who are suddenly all interested in these machines it’s easy to give them away. That’s not even mentioning the other “family” members who have taken an interest.

From what I noticed, it wasn't your mistake the last time you tried lasering on a curved surface or curve.
The machine AUTOMATICALLY limits the speed to 200 or 250 mm / S...unfortunately I'm not sure about the exact value.
You can program 600mm/S but it doesn't help you.
I think the manufacturers installed it for safety reasons.
For example, if you laser at high speed, the machine needs a certain braking distance/turn around/acceleration distance/and braking distance again. Sometimes it happens in fractions of a second, which would then damage the machine itself in the long run.
Nevertheless, when it comes to safety features, with enclosure, suction, etc., I personally like this machine.
I have 2 open homes myself and I'm already thinking about whether I'll sell them and switch to this machine. Thank you for your effort and time for this video.
Edit: Maximum Speed for curve engrave is 30mm/ S i found the Data ;) be carefull whit Powersettings .
