The MS-20 Module is a keyboard-less MS-20 with a full-size 1/4" patch panel that you get to assemble yourself. When we heard that our frequently-visiting friend Rich Formidoni was going to stop by and talk about it we realized that we'd have to assemble one, so we set up some cameras and made this time-lapse video.
Along the way we made a few mistakes and noticed some other things that might make your own assembly process easier, so we've shared those in this video, too.
To find out why Rich calls the MS-20 Module 'the ultimate MS-20,' please watch our video with him here: • Nova Musik - Korg MS-2...

Built mine last night and it was quite straight forward apart from two things. 1. I couldn't get the volume/on-off switch detached from the circuit board to fit to the top unit. I felt I was going to break the board or damage it in some way so I left it connected. I managed to connect it ok though it was a little bit fiddly and can see why Korg asks for it to be removed before assembly.2. The small and large junction boxes. I had real problems getting the nuts onto these. It didn't matter how I put them on and I didn't cross thread any of them. I eventually got them on but only after nearly cracking the circuit board.I now have a Korg MS20M and it looks amazing so now to try it out. Not to sure about the junction sockets though as they are not connected to any other boards inside the unit via cables etc so can't see how they work to be honest.I will update once I have the unit up and running. Fingers crossed!
