I LOVE that you took a sec to discuss how ANC works, even going as far as demonstrating with your fingers. I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations for the tech, and while everyone discusses ANC in their videos, nobody’s done it as well as this.
Good video. Of course you can never shut off the Apple headphones, but the biggest criticism I hear about the Bose Ultra is that you cannot completely shutoff NC. For some of us, constant ANC brings ear pressure issues so that would be a dealbreaker for me. I still am in love with my Bose QC25....10 seconds to swap out an AAA battery rather than charging. Do you think that Bose is the right purchase for an apple power user as me, with many apple device around me ? Or do I have to buys the old AIRPODS MAX (and return back Bose) because I’m an apple power user ? Or do I have to wait the APM MAX 2, while keeping the Bose now ? What do you think I should do ? I need a pair of over ear earphones right now, I can’t wait and I don’t know what to do hahaha
I think the APM max is the better choice for you. Outside of the build and listening experience, APM is buttery smooth when changing between apple devices and the playback controls are top notch whereas the Bose have a delay and the playback controls from the MacBook suck/ aren’t worth it. The APM should not be bought at retail at this point but only when on sale. Will you be selling what you have and buying the APM2 no matter what when it does release? If so then return the Bose, buy the APM on discount and enjoy them until the 2s.

What do you thing about the noice cancelling performance between the two ? Which is better ? I watched a lot of videos and many people said that Bose are better than AirPods Max or anything else, while other people said that AirPods Max are better than Bose. What’s your opinion? Because for me noice cancelling is a very important feature.
@@John-S-01 from my experience, the ultras have more powerful ANC since sometimes I can feel the vacuum-like pressure at 100 ANC and the ultras do better at muffling irregular sounds that can't be canceled out. Again, I don't have numbers to back it up, just my thoughts/ experience. The ANC on the APM are good as well but I give the edge to Bose.
Are you switch to APM? What are your impressions? Now i'm in same situation :) Don't want to wait APM2 until autumn, but all devices by Apple and don't think what Bose is great choice

Audio is different but not bad and great to be able to turn off ANC with a button on the earcup instead of going into the app on my phone. Thank you for replying 🤗

I think I showed a screen recording from my phone in this video where it has to be done in the Bose app. And the ANC in the default modes can't be changed in the app. So at face value it might seem like you can't but through the app in custom modes you can. Hopefully you like what you have!
Bought the Bose for ANC, my ears are shot after 35 years of underground mining. The Ultras allow deaf people to hear their music the way it was meant to be. I don't care about aware mode or how it takes calls, I have the new 45s also and the ultras are just that much better.
Do not buy the Bose QC Ultra headphones. YES! Here is the reason: Power on/off is the worst !!! After holding the power button for 3 seconds, if the device successfully powers on, there will be a voice notification 1-2 seconds later indicating that it has powered on. Normally, electronic products notify you immediately upon successful power on, but BOSE does not. If you wait to release the button until you hear the power-on notification, it will definitely enter Bluetooth pairing mode. If you release the button too early, you hear the power-on sound but cannot connect. I have tried up to 8 times to successfully power it on. Turning it off presents the same issue (although it's somewhat better than turning it on). Despite its sound quality being better than my SONY WH-1000XM4, the daily frustration of powering it on makes me want to throw it in the trash. It is completely not worth it.

Can you disable ANC completely with the QC ultra? I made the mistake of ordering the QC45 before I knew you can’t turn it off.
