Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
You must follow the right path, and do not be dismayed by the few pedestrians.
And beware of the path of falsehood, and do not be deceived by the abundance of those who pedestrians.

I think that Islam has something for everybody. Even the Quran, it doesn't just address those of (albab) like the shiek said. Some (ayat) signs are meant for (yaqiloon) those who who work their brains and not get swept with emotions. Some talk to those who (yatafakaroon) ponder and connect things together. Some talk to those who have clean hearts and their emotions are pure and in place. Some talk to those who (yataqoon) are cautious and aware about evil and where it leads... The Quran and Islam is meant to and addresses all kind of people. And each kind can worship based on their approach to Islam and it's acceptable, God willing. And of course God knows all and knows best.

Believe in Prophet Muhammad as the seal of Allah's Prophets. Believe in all of the Prophets and messengers and make no distinction between any of them. Believe in heaven and hell, pre ordainment. Believe in all the books of Allah, and obey Allah's commandments.
Life makes Islam complicated. Trying to implement the teachings and to perform proper actions as Prophet Muhammad performed them. This is the pull and tug where during the pull and tug, Inshaallah true faith enters the heart.
My understanding. If incorrect please advise because I seek to learn that which will make Allah pleased and that which will be recognized by Prophet Muhammad as a member of his ummah. Inshaallah.

Shiekh Hamza raises a very valid point. Whatever thoughts and opinions an author may have, we should not be editing and deleting it out.
I think it’s mega urgent for the ummah to realise this is an issue and place their trust in an organisation that will preserve our heritage (everything good and bad).
Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s the western press (which he accuses) that would be guilty of this. This is more an issue of Muslim publishing houses that have an undue pressure from various Muslim groups and also from their respective governments who keep meddling for political reasons.
    -------
    (Edited after)
I must also disagree with Shiekh Hamza and his whole theology of not taking from outside of Islam. This is the reason for our stagnation. When we did, we thrived. The moment we stopped, we’ve had one continuous calamity after the other. Medieval Islam needs to fall and be replaced by a more universal, progressive, less toxic and tolerant Islam. Without a revival, Islam as it is, is withering away as the common person is seeing the contradictions in Islam.
But just my point/observation/opinion. Not looking for any takfirism or arguments!

    • @ismahanali4547
      @ismahanali4547 Před 2 lety +2

Takfir is a big thing that even scholars are afraid of but when a person says something that clearly goes against the Qur'an and Sunna (not that I am accusing you) well he should waiting for it like saying praying salat is not mandatory or associating worship of ALLAH with other things
There are no "mediaeval"Islam it has always been the same from the time of rashiduun caliphate to golden age of Islam to now it is just that people change and we are responsible for our retreat in scientific fields but we are developing which is a good thing
We are going or want nor should be comprising our Islamic values just to get confirmation of others or to proof our "inclusiveness" or "tolerance" a person that feels like that should sheck their Islam they basically feel that Islam is not universal and timeless

Islam is indeed simple, as even the illiterate bedouin could learn the fundamentals and find success. Of course later on we developed amazing scholars such as Ghazali and Nawawi, but this "gate-keeping" ideology promoted by some is a transparent attempt at elevating their own status, like they are the only ones capable of explaining the truth to the masses. Allah sent us "a clear Quran", not a "convoluted Quran", may Allah protect us. And the Prophet spoke in simple yet comprehensive words, so his ummah could benefit from his advice, from the time he spoke them until the end of days.

"Clear Qur'aan", the Arabic word is "Qur'aan Mubiin" "Kitaab Mubiin", Mubiin is the adjective or the active participle of the verb IV "Abaana / Abāna أَبَانَ " its basic meaning is "to separate, sift, distinguish; to explain, expound, elucidate; to be clear, plain, evident", the meaning of the adjective Qur'aan "Mubiin" is the "separator, distinguisher, sifter; explainer, expounder, elucidater; clear, plain, evident, obvious, patent" relates to the preposition "bayn = in the time, space, or interval that separates = between", so Mubiin is simple and complex at the same time, within, interior means same as clarity, meaning if you don't get into the "within" the Qur'aan, the one who reads - I, you, us, he / she, they - the immediate and the bigger world and how it formed and affects the one who is reading then Qur'aan becomes difficult and even impossible to understand, and how the reader's world affects him / her and his / her understanding or his / her involvement and complications may even turn from a guide to mislead, so for a human is a complex because the human reads from the surface without understanding the Islamic creation and evolution (same different but one, same as masculine feminine) which has nothing to do with narratives of the Bibles and Ahaadiith / and so-called Islamic law, human Islamic law, same different that have nothing to do with Allaah and Allaah's prophets - human hearsays!
The Islamic prayers it's been in practice since the Prophet's death, and gained its human affected variantes but the core and essence remains the same just like the Qur'aan's variantes and its human grammatical errores, all humanity!
Human mess was, is and will be the dominant rule, past, present and the future! This very life, in this universe, is dual الحَيَّاةُ الدُّنِيا the Nether / Nearer Closer life, both lower / inferior life and at the same time near / closer life, and all in-between, which indicates final home (Earth Jannat / paradise or Fire, both are created matter, hence both lower, Jannat higher than Fire, in comparison to its Creator higher / highest! The Qur'aan when unseparated is dual, أَعْجَمِيٌّ and عَرَبِيٌّ , when separated is عَرَبِيٌّ Arabic within, Qur'aan Mubiin!
There's no such a thing, narratives that Prophet said or done, just human hearsays that mislead, only the Qur'aan (Kalaamu Allaahi)!

It is clear and simple regarding the basics as the religion is meant to benefit even the common man and offer a way to jannah. But it is a false assumption that everything can be brought to the lowest level which can be understood by most people. Besides the basics, this is also the religion of great sages and intellectual giants whose understanding of Islam will always remain beyond the reach of common believers. The prophet peace be upon him spoke for all levels, not just for commoners and not just for the elite. It is up to us to raise our level or remain at the lowest but we shouldn’t assume that everything can be brought down to our level.

Khutbah has to be in Arabic because the Quran says: "O believers, when there is a call for salah on Friday, rush for the Dhiker of Allah and leave trade." This is not referring to prayer which we all know has to be in Arabic. It is referring to khutbah. And Dhiker we all know as well is only done in Arabic as well. That's why I love Malikiyyah because they're objective and open minded even Imam Malik RA denied that Jesus AS will kill pigs if he comes back even though he said it's a Sahih Hadith by the conditions of the Oulama.. You can never imagine a big named Sheykh to do something like that today because of peer pressure.. Which only produces blind followers and there's a Hadith in the Muwatta that says you will be punished for blind following even if you follow the correct things but didn't make sure for yourself.

The true knowledge is preserved in Holy Qur'an. I don't know why Scholars try to find knowledge in Hadith and in books written by scholars who passed away centuries ago. They spend life time doing research in books, they travel meet other Scholars trying to gain knowledge when they are looking for is in the Quran. Noor is also attributed name of Furqan the criterion between truth and falsehood. The original and pure Deen which Allah's last Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) bought fourteen centuries ago is protected by Allah Almighty himself in Majestic Quran. It is manifest and simple, there is no ambiguous verses. The message is crystal clear and not out of reach human understanding. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) where purified, where taught knowledge of the Book and wisdom simply by listening to Ayats of the last and Final testament and the verses were recited by Allah's last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) by his blessed tongue. This is the Sunnah way and is most effective. If all the books were lost or destroyed there is more than enough guidance in Holy Qur'an to make any nation a ruling and righteous state. May Allah give us guidance. Ameen.

@@Nox-02 In response to what you said, where did you get the idea that people are supposed to be submitting to this religion called Islam?
This is the same claim Jews and Christians make about their religion, and The Quran highlights these claims as baseless, asking the question were Ibrahim, ismail, ishaq etc Jews or Christians. Because this is a title they invented themselves, along with religions they invented for themselves. The religion called Islam followed the same trend, they invented this title Islam, from the word الإسلام which The Quran never utilises as a title for a religion. In fact it's describing an action. Romanising the word, instead of translating it's meaning distorts the whole concept. Nobody used this title Islam prior to the ummayid and Abbasid caliphates. The early trustees of The Quran never used this title, neither did they ever identify with this title Muslim. It amazes me how scholars allow these distorted terms to be prevalent, especially as they block the true teachings of The Quran. The modern romanised word "Muslim" is an adjective, The Quranic word مُسلِم is an active participle, therefore is not an identity label and certainly does not carry the same meaning as the modern romanised word "Muslim"

Agreed with the Shaikh... but... one of the greatest changes made to hadith was about following the Quran and Ahlul Bayt. Please look into it and you will see that "Quran and Sunnah" is incorrect.
