How do you guys not bleed from those stabs? Or do you?
@@loganriling4888 If you look closely, they are wearing armors
Yes I wondered because I saw at least one blow clearly went under the rim of the helm on the guy wearing the coat of plates, and it looked hard enough to pierce chain mail.
@@gerryleb8575 That's why we sometimes use these safe weapon simulators.
@@dequitem "sometimes"?
You can easily find a Lucerne hammer at the Catacombs when you reach Firelink Shrine, though beware of skeletons!
bro just explaining dark souls stuff outta nowhere 💀💀💀
But I prefer a divine infused longsword for fighting in the catacombs.
>Not using a claymore
Smh
@@johnhighway7399 Not using a Pyromancer..... 😊
Bro in elden ring the Lucerne hammer has no stab attacks. So cringe
I like that there’s no 5 minute intro no annoying background music and no flamboyant bullshit you often see on tv this felt real like the man in red truly won the fight for his life
Somewhere some useless person is stealing this content and making a short right now. And you know what shorts sound like...
God
that speed
one can image how brutal medieval combat was
Most people would be traumatized beyond repair back in a day. Only except it was considered a positive thing to kill people in the name of God.
Yeah knoghts being slow is a complete cliche
imagine the sound of thousands of others fighting like this holy shit
Real combat was probably less brutal. It's easy to go all in when you're not actually at risk or dying, but when your life is at stake people are far more careful
@@hannesneutze1581Yeah but it'd be brutal due to actual maiming and death
This is your best looking fight yet, the wind, the use of negative space, absolute cinema.
Thanks. There will be better fights in future. But this one was nice indeed.
The final is so real, so dramatic and so... usual
Man: better than any Hollywood fight scene by 100% loved that it ends on the ground.
Thanks for the compliment!
My favorite part is always when they cuddle at the end
After care is important
Best comment. I wish somebody would do that to me.
"Stay safe and dont kill your training partners."
thank you for the pro tip dequitem, maybe now I'll be able to face the same opponent more than once
I also had to learn it first.
The wind haul, the location, the rattle of armor and the merciless blows. For me, even the name "Lucerne Hammer" has some medieval poetic ring. Very well done, hope the aches and pains were quick to heal. Thanks, we all appreciate the effort. Hope some movie producer will snatch you, with the appropriate pay.
I hope too.
You can put me on the stand in Nuremberg and call me a grammar Na*i but it's "howl" not "haul"

@@dequitem Thats british for: I agree :)
Daggers. No matter what weapon you start out with, in the end every armored duel comes down to grappling and daggers.
Around 50 % end in close combat with daggers, but you are in most cases injured before and the grappling can be more difficult.
@@dequitem Some of those hits looked pretty hardcore, it might have been a different tune if the Hammer had a metal head.
@@MrGabol100 exactly its easy to tank a strike from a 1kg hard plastik weapon in armor but not that easy if its 2,5 kg spiky steel.
If the weapons were full weight and sharpened, that wouldn’t always be the case.
@@MrGabol100are they not steel?
This battle was hard-core. What a spectacular scene 😮
Exactly. Those heavy blows looked pretty scary. Fortunately, the armor didn't failed.
@@DalHruskThis makes Me think if there's any poor lost soul from the after life roaming around this area and just finished seeing this ultimate battle 😮
This could easily be the ending sequence to a great film.. like a medieval version of Heat. Two sworn enemies finally encounter and they fight to the death. No music, small figures, wide shots, bleak colors, just brutal and merciless combat. Makes you wonder if any of this was worth it in the end.
You're combat is phenomenal. Hollywood could learn a thing or two from you guys.
As someone living near Lucerne and having this recommended to me by the algorithm Im pleasantly surprised... That was Savage. Well done.
Greetings from Germany.
Great stuff!
They need to hire y'all for movies and games! The mocap you could do would be insane!
I NEED this stuff. If im not playing dark and darker or chilling out with my kids, im obsessing over the war of the roses or a blacksmith making historical weapons or THIS. I am absolutely in love with it. Thank you for uploading again. Please, never stop. You guys are the best. I hope you guys can make a movie one day

Как всегда в ролике прекрасно все! Актеры, схватка и место боя! Спасибо за ролик. (восхищаюсь атмосферой места)
Thank you very much!
Absolutely horrifying how realistic it was, finally someone does justice to proper medieval combat.
Good fight and good location too
Weeding must take years.
How did the castle builders know you were going to have a knight fight in 2024? It was very thoughtful of them to think years ahead and build it for you!
It's a burned churche.
@@dequitem Why did you burn it? 😮
@@disbelief3911 😂
The armour, the location, the techniques, all got me salivating at the mouth...
For some reason I find the last part quite frightening... Excellent atmosphere and audio as always! Thank you. Cheers!
Yes it was a rough fight in the end!
Here I am, living in Lucerne (Lozärn!) with a great view of the city wall, watching this outstanding video!
dude I was wincing on every hit, this shocked me like no horror movie ever could because the stakes are real! great stuff. wow!!!!
That hard blow to the neck/shoulder blade area was absolutely brutal. That had to be a decent bruise, on top of everything else.
Wow that was brutal and i enjoy every second of it! Also the camera view is 10/10!!
I like your fighting videos much more than anyone else on CZcams because you introduce a dark atmosphere into your videos with a cold image filter. It could even be a Black Metal video clip.
may be Sabaton or Power Wolf

This was one of your most entertaining fights yet imo. Lots of great strikes and nice camera angles.
I loved that fight! Great shots! Good cinematography. Sounded good to!
Thanks to you and your fighting partner. Watching those videos of yours Is both awesome and educational.
Thank you for this, every video is such a treat to watch
downright coolest YT vid I've ever seen
This is my new favourite channel. Great scenery and great duels 👌
Red knight knows how to fight with the hammer!
Explain pls.
He had a good point work and uses his ability to stab low!
Nice
Great piece of engineering, i love the lucerne hammer, is one of the best pole weapons out there. Also great ambient place too
I didn't see what "killed" him until I ran it back - right at 1:14 is the dagger thrust to the neck that gets into the armor and right down into his chest, the knight in red wiggles it around in there for a second too, knowing it was solid hit - the other knight has a last burst of energy but he can't find an opening with his dagger, and then after he falls, the red knight finishes him through the armpit.
Never clicked so fast on a Video, my Hometown is Lucerne, Switzerland it's Heaven on Earth, but I didn't know about the Hammer until now 😅 Great Work as Always Lads❤
You guys are like those two paragliders who were dancing in the air above my head today. You give me hope.
Just discovered this. Brutal! Watching them ALL now.
So happy to see this channel grow, I was surprised when I first found it to see few subscriber and now at over 100K, I believe you'll be at over a million by early next year.
🙌
I don't think so but I would be happy if I can make 200K!
@@dequitem I've seen it before. You're on the right track!
Thank you for always delivering awesome knight fighting content! I hope your injuries aren't too severe and heal quickly though
Only a bruise this time!
It always feels illegal watching these videos lol, I genuinely feel like I'm watching someone die. Just proves how well shot these are. Great work as always!
I love these videos so much!!!
The fights is getting more intense I love it amazing 😊👍
Well, that was fun. Like how he gave the blade a twist just to make sure it was in.
Pretty bad when some random CZcams videos have more medieval accurate armor/weaponry and fighting choreography than Game of Thrones.
With that said, these have been astoundingly great 👍🏻
But we don't do choreographed stuff. This is real.
Really going at it for the most part but I caught the editing that turns it into a different scene than the shorts version.
@@bigcrackrock indeed I often connect two duels to make longer fights for the long videos and sometimes shorter fights for the CZcams shorts. When I meet other fighters and we record some duels, it often happen that every duel don't last longer than 30 seconds. Good luck to make a video out of that. Or try to make a short out of fights that all last longer than 2 minutes.
I love your content these fights are so well done and the information you provide is top notch. I showed a buddy i fence with and he is baffled no one gets seriously injured. If i was a betting man i would bet the day after is probably a bit rough haha
Love it, your best yet.
That was very well done! Very impressive!
simply awesome, thanks for making this
The lucerne hammer is one of my all time favorite weapons. So cool!!!!!!
i was recoiling watching this, props to the guys for taking those blows like champs, really beautiful all round
You guys are the best. I always love your videos. I swear I don't know you guys stay friends after some of these hits.
We stay friends because of these. Sparring will make you friends!
Great video, very atmospheric, realistic fight!
Cinematic as always, I watch this the 5th time and it is still cool
Gosh. That end-point jab is brutal.
This fighting ground was absolutely brilliant. Of course both fighters were top notch as well
That's why the English used full clamshell plate even on their arms & legs. Mail voiders are heavy & can get caught on things, but there are still times when you need armour everywhere.
yet another masterpiece 🎉🎉
Yep, better than most tv and movies.
This was WAY more brutal than I was expecting, especially when the armor started flying off from how hard you guys were stabbing
Definitely had to do that one in one take, since it was obviously to the death. Love the dedication to the craft.
RIP your friend though. Unless he wasn't your friend and thats why you killed him...
He is fine. Thanks to blunt weapons.
Imagine the sound of a Thousand Knights fighting at the same time...
Brutal effective and superb bravo sirs
Wie immer ein spannendes Fest für die Augen...und Ohren...Geräuschkulisse erinnert an die Verfilmung ..Nosferatu Fantom der Nacht...( die mit Klaus Kinski )
great as always!!
A "safe training tool"? I would not feel safe getting hit like those guys. That is real commitment on their part. Real men. Both of them.
Those swings were brutal. That spike catching on a weak point on your neck seems like the true danger of this weapon. Medieval people sure got good at can-opening.
Imagine you’re a peasant called in to fight for your lord and you show up with a hurriedly assembled spear and you end up fighting a knight during the battle.
Great video, with wind howling, and a mercyless fight.
Like often with a duel fight, and heavy armour, it ends on the ground with daggers.
This is awesome 👍
Bro didn't even grab all that loot that was dropped... Reminds me of when I played Diablo II - very well done!
Excellent duel !
Are you guys completely crazy? This fight looked f* real and non-scripted. Completely hazardous, but just awesome! Never seen before - you nailed it!
They're not scripted apparently, they're probably a liiittle crazy but they're definitely doing what they love.
So cool. So brutally cool !
Damn, reenactments don’t get any more realistic than this! I fought for years in the SCA using swords, maces, pole arms, etc., made from reinforced rattan and any solid hit HURT! I cannot envision what a full-contact blow from a metal weapon… even if blunted…would feel like. Kudos to the skill and bravery of those men.
That finisher was brutal goddamn. I hope the guy in red didn’t have any permanent injuries, cause that must’ve hurt.
The tranquility of the last scene. Art.
Wow, this duel must have brought back some fond memories for the ghosts of the castle 👻.
feels like dark souls pvp irl for the scenery
Amazing fight!
What a gentle exchange of steel and blows!
Damn, that was the most realistic fight scene ever!
Awesome fight!
Thank you and good knight
I really liked that "cork screw" thrust series ypi landed on him at :30. It's one of my favorites in a thrusting format
Amazing!
Excellent!
0:58. Damn! That one got him good.
it was the blow before that got him good, the one at 0:58 only hit the haft of his hammer
More like 0:54
Stupendo !!!well done !!!!

DUDE - SUBSCRIBED !!
This is so somberly epic if that's even a proper saying.
Yessssssss pollaxe (still sad it isn't just called polehammer).
From the grip I was worried you were just gonna swing the head, but you did spam buttspike thrusts shortly afterwards!
Pietro Monte and le Jeu both advise starting with 'queue' thrusts, until there's an opening for a strike with the poll. (Just like boxing, jabs to lead into cross, hook, etc.)
But that's just weapon techniques, the complete video is of course again of the highest quality you always provide.
good work !
