people from the countries around europe do know how big the us is. just like with the stereotype being mostly texas centered, its the same for other countries too. Rudeness in french people comes from the people of paris, who are actually rude, but mostly french people are just fine.
with americans - and emily is portraying that: people hate it when they go to other countries and expect them to cater to their needs, work shedule, language etc.

This show is clearly for American viewers. As someone who’s french it is a little bit frustrating to see the stereotypes of people who all cheat on their significant other and are always pictured as lazy and rude people that need the help of the American character that has all the answers and is so much smarter and advanced then any french people in this show.
Try not to take it to heart.
It's a trope. It happens in American movies between American characters far more often. haha.
But, I'll be honest. Stereotypes are a thing. Americans know that first hand. If We have to put up with it, so do the French. Ha

May I add that all the resources I looked up before responding all say that Bon Jour and Bonne Journee both mean "good morning/day" but they're used in slightly different ways.
Bon jour can mean "Hello" as well, but it's in the vein of a more formal, "Good day, How are you?"
Bonne journee is similar, but I Think it's more like "Have a good day." As in, "Have a good day, I'll see you tomorrow."
Right? Or did I misunderstand the meanings?
@@christinaukuni haha. Unless French has changed. But since it's been forever since I took French, I looked it up just now and it Seems that I may have been correct. But, I'm not sure if French usage is different, so I'm just checking with the OP.

Look up the podcast “Enemy in Paris” it’s a hate watch podcast. The hosts make you realize just how much you can hate the main character

I know this show is controversial and a lot of people do not like it, but personally, I find it pretty fun and entertaining to watch so I would love to see more reactions of Emily in Paris.
The fact that watching you guys became an everyday habit ...I have basically finished all the reactions and was waiting for this one 😂😂😂...plus i love Emily in Paris
When my mother lived there she saw this French ad where a woman ate yoghurt buck naked (a play on "natural" yoghurt) she was pretty shocked and found it ridiculously staged but her classmates didn't think anything of it. Us Swedes are pretty known for not having a problem with nudity in itself but the over sexualization of women in particular is something we usually work against hence her reaction.
Being french and watching you guys react to this is hilarious ! Obviously it portrays french culture based on cliches (like Sex and the city is not an accurate basic NYC life) but it's still fun and sometimes spot on

Emily can’t be given the excuse that She found out last minute. That’s like going to a place accepting a job at the place and then complaining that you don’t know the language. You shouldn’t have taken the job then! Send someone who was qualified. Emily’s boss could have went to Paris. Emily could have taken her place later, giving her enough time to learn a little more of the language.

If you are capable of watching this without naturally rejecting it or having issues with the quality i get it, it's just dumb tv to relax and laugh. But if you do naturally have issues with how it's written and done and can't understand why this takes the place of other better ideas and projects, i also understand You bc this stuff is mid, so mis i have gotten frustrated at it while watching. I love Lily and i want the story to have cool spins and they go and make it flat and Mary Sue at every turn it got so frustrating and one dimensional. Bc i Guess its ok, not everything has to be intelectual but they at least could be less xenophobic, racist and sexist in maaaaaany ways. If You gonna make me watch an easy utopia, make it an actual utopia for me to relax
