I LOVE your home and the design of it! Wish I had the skill to design my home as beautifully, but more importantly, it looks like you can live so comfortably in it. Thanks for sharing. I live in a 2,700 sq.ft., one story home in a rural area. Open concept and high ceilings and a tremendous amount of light, and white oak hardwood flooring with a whitewash finish. We keep it looking uncluttered and simple as far as what is on the walls and tables, and relaxing with neutral colors on walls and soothing colors such as muted greens for the soft furniture, with dashes of deep red here and there. How I wish I could have had a designer such as you.

I love the brightness of this home all the while maintaining its coziness. Too many times up north the homes are decorated with such darkness so this is refreshing.

Ok I have a question, why would you layer carpets and rugs? Won’t it hide the flooring completely? Unless you have a really ugly floor to begin with.
Also why would you put a textured rug underneath? Wouldn’t cause bumps while you walk on top of the top layer carpet?
I love this home, but I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the designer’s accent.
A little too crowded with furniture for my taste. Many nice aspects though.
i like the exposed brick which i believe is original from the 1800s, so that's why they call it a "brownstone", not crazy about her interior design choices, but lovely architecture, mouldings, etc.

The best thing done here, is all the dark heavy wood was painted out.
Too many people preserve this look in these brownstones, and it looks so very wrong for today's style.
