- After the latest patch from hoi4 most of the memes you can pull for the basic tank designer have now gone, after this I thought it only fitting to finally release a meta tank guide. These are the best tanks you make as of the current update (1.12.10). But feel free to make your own designs and mess around for yourself but this is the current meta for base game, so Hammo next time you don't waste ic on to much armor and cheek that your refit cost is not higher then the production cost, ;)

I'm glad I stumbled onto this. Trying to learn to play, every video I watch the people take so long to make a point and they just love to hear themselves talk.... You get straight to it... "Here's whats best for A" then in the same breath you say "Why? Well.....". It's so refreshing. No filler. No nonsense. And your explanation is never too long or too short. You don't talk slowly either, I usually need to slow videos down but this plays at 1x speed. Perfect balance. For someone who has little patience, your channel is the best!

phenomenal video bro, im at 60 hours in HOI4 planning on getting into some MP but currently only playing SP to prepare for it.. and trying to get a grip on templates/widths etc. The comparisons you use between different years was excellent (why to use what instead of what).
Clear and concise video compared to all the other blabbering HOI CZcamsrs ; they usually just say “dont use this” or “use this” without further explanation or examples of the contrary..

I recommend building a very heavily armoured SPAA to bump the armour of the division up by about 40-50, resulting in 80-90 armour overall with low armour mediums and mech, makes it unpiercable by AT inf for a tiny cost (the SPAA is about 13 IC)
True but armor is still useless against People in mp games because they can just up there piecing to 130 with hev cannons for instance and make it a waste of IC
@@VRV.Kaiser i agree it’s useless against high piercing tanks but it makes it unpiercable by AT inf which is great for breaking North Africa. And it’s not really a big waste of IC when you need only need like 4 Mils on it for all your tank divisions.
Is the flamethrower tank at 18:20 the same flamethrower tank which you use in your tank tamplet and space marine tampeltes which you have shown earlier in the video? And if yes is the design at 18:20 the design which you use throughout the game or do you adjust? Great video, I have really struggled with tanks, this really helped!

hi i've only really played singleplayer in hoi4 so far and really wanna get into mp but don't really know mp metas for most majors and in general dont really know how to go about things, do you have recommendations for learning mp channels or have guides planned yourself?
Well I don't really know any good guide creators myself sadly and those that I do don't really know how to play the game all to well and thus their guides are flawed. I do Plan to make more guides but if you have any ideas on videos feel free to ping me in my discord!

Spa tanks can be put into Inf divisions. Build them if doing that
I'm afraid that I've had to rerun your video 4-5 times to understand your machine-gun english delivery; you could slow down a bit, and go to 30-35 minutes per video, a lot more detail would get nailed down !

Hey, great video, i wanted to ask whether it is still viable to put one medium tank battalion in the space marine division with cheap design. The armor feels awesome in single player.
I Mean the most worth thing kinda would be to either put a high armor hev td or high armor hev aa tank you will get about 50 base armor on your infantry the only problem is fuel usage and if you start running out of fuel your divs will be slower and have really bad stats after. but kinda still work i guess
I always do that. Medium tank with maximum possible armor combined with 14 inf + 4 art is the best template for single player. Heavy tanks are too expensive.
I still prefer christie suspension. Christie increase speed, so i need less engine upgrades to reach my preffered speed. By lower amount of engine upgrades i can safe IC, fuel and reliability or eventually add some more valuable armor upgrades instead of engine upgrades to reach my desired speed. Torsion bars are good to create slower but toughter or super expensive tanks with a lot of upgrades. i'm barely use them since i prefer overall highers speed than more reliability for more upgrades.
There is also idea of using very cheap mediums with basic light tanks cannons, since they are veeery cheap. they are used mostly against infantry focused coutries or against AI, since we dont need to waste resources on expensive medium cannons to push some weak infantry. that meds can be always converted to proper mediums with better guns later.
Each to there own I am man of breakthrough personally

How about the logitics support company, do you think it is required for country like german?
Given the fact you can rush later mediums as Germany and Soviet Union would it be worth it just to get the 41/43 because you can?
It was a matter of preference I prefer using the cheaper mediums because less resources but also for conversion of old technology to new plus it was not armor focused build

what you mean by overruns need 8kmh? i thought it was just reaching the tile your enemy is retreating to before they arrive?
yep thats what it is, its just better to have a minim of 8km/h because it will mean you will always get to a tile quicker then the enemy assuming you have full supply that is. hope that helped

I can see the argument of armor being useless holding up some merit as if the enemy as high piecing value you will always be pried however a extra amount of armor will protect you from soft attack artillery, price is worth there is nothing wrong with the price you can make it cheaper but you will lose significant breakthrough, in my testing and expedience this tank will beat anything, however feel free to discuss further
@@VRV.Kaiser Because you don't need all of your tanks to have high armor. You need only one tank with high armor in your template. For example, 1 max armor medium tank and 9 light tanks with no armor. Or 1 max armor medium tank destroyer and 9 medium tanks with no armor. Or 1 max armor modern tank and 9 mediums... etc...

Well, make sure to have enough armor so that infantry AT doesn't Peirce you, that's a use for armor.
More or less yes because no one will get more then 150 armor to not get paired by her canons and if you do it will be to expensive

Well vanilla you can do 30 width and you can go for the choice of 42 but personally there is no point it's either you get slightly more organisation and slightly more higher stat's, for a overall ic increase making it more or less redundant and useless. But everyone can play how they want and everyone can share
