Don’t forget, spamming t34-85 and fast moving to the enemy spawn is the perfect plan and will never be punished.

Yeah picked it up on Epic, got wrecked in my first and second solo matches, the first time I lost my commander the first 5 minutes and the 2nd match I lasted longwr but lost due to points, was on my 3rd match when my laptop decided to shutdown due to "Heat" (It wasn't even on toaster levels of heat). Great game, can't wait to get good hahah, thanks!

10v10 helped me to learn alot, its not that punishing if you suck, other players often carry you. You get to see what other players do, can get specific decks to play, like arty only or helies and plains if you like to be harrased by other players :D (planes and helies are very easy to lose so get ready to be ridiculed for feeding)

I can only add 2 important things that I think every new player should know
- Bring recon, if you want to see the enemy at all
- DO NOT look at the general chat. It is a crime against faith in humanity, so resist the temptation, even if it seems funny at first.
Edit: I found you could mute the chat! After 200 hours of play. What can I say, I'm not the brightest bulb :D

I tried, without even reading tutorial, busan campaign. I bugged, and when the battle began was rekt.
though the game would help you a tad bit, but nope, as you said, We've been treated like big boys so when I skip trhough the reading and my UH-1 was annihilated by a whole Combat Group I felt like I missed something indeed.

Small brain:

Waiting nearly a decade so you can get for free.

I like to see an in-depth tutorial as to bombing patterns work, also pls explain the spotting and stealth system in great and exhausting detail, thanks. ...also, also why Red Dragons is the best deck
The bombing pattern is (unfortunately) rather simple. The default is to turn port after dropping bombs/missiles (regardless of what you tell the plane to do with waypoints). But if your angle of approach is significantly slanted to the right, approaching your target from the left, based on the default orientation of the map, the plane will turn starboard. The exact angle is not that useful to experiment for. Since it is relative to the map, you also need to identify the reference axis of each map. At that point, you may as well learn the maps themselves and get used to the best bombing routes per map over time. For atgm planes, if they have been turning, they will continue the turn while firing off missiles (although high off bore sight missiles seem to hit less.) A right turning atgm plane will continue turning right even if you tell them to target a particular ground target to the left as long as it is within some angle -- probably ~30 degree forward. Overall, neither is as useful as the other way: approach in a way that turning port goes back to friendly space. That means, if you have the luxury to stage a bombing run with preparation time, you should stage your planes from the bottom right of the map. In other words, embrace the port turning. The more important thing about working with this behavior is to avoid asking a bomber to turn starboard after bombing. Most of the time it won't listen to you. It will turn left first and *then* turn right, dooming itself in the process.

I always explain the game as being equal parts Chess, Scissors/Rock/Paper and Stratego.
The chess part is obvious - careful unit positioning, mutual support and always having an approach and an escape plan. The S/R/P part is the dynamic between anti-air, anti-tank and anti-infantry - some units can do all three but the best ones are usually dedicated to one role or are very expensive. Finally, the Stratego aspect is the fact that in most cases, but especially in regards to tanks, bigger = better. Having a tank with 15 AP (kinetic) means nothing if your target's armour value is 16.
Of course there are massive exceptions to this rule (I love my "cheapness and mass" decks !) but in general, if you are running a 120 point tank in the area of an enemy 170 point tank then barring atrocious luck, excellent backup or terrible gameplay by your opponent you WILL lose it eventually.

I have copied these decks successfully but only a few are showing in my lobbies....is there a reason they would show up fine in deck creation but not in my games?
You can always select only Bluefor (NATO) or Redfor (Pact) decks depending on what team you are on.

Most people just ignore the naval aspect (nobody plays it in multiplayer). But in short: blobs work best. Blobs of helos, ships, planes. Don't send them one by one.

What's the difference between a "starter deck" and a normal/competitive one?
Those decks simply have a bit of everything. A "normal" or "competitive" deck is simply adjusted to ones play style.
