  • Just by looking at a melody can you work out which key it is in? How can you tell just by looking at the notes which key a melody is in, especially when there is no key signature? Even if you can work it out how do you know if it’s in a major key or a minor key? This music theory lesson explains a way of doing it so you can be right every time! Useful for people preparing such questions in theory exams and useful for composers and performers wanting to be really assured about the subject of keys.
