- When dirty children get wild in the mud. To celebrate the launch of the Scout 275 & 290 into 2020, Scoutin' About is back for Part Deux.
Despite its lack of rear end bounce, its a wildly capable bike and in the right hands a real weapon. It's our do it all Hardcore hardtail. No worries sending the park or a mini downhill, but equally at home on a nice gentle XC ride. The scout is a go anywhere do anything hardtail.
Thanks to Leeds Bike Park for letting us film on some of their trails. Any mess left from the mucky riders was cleaned up after us.

I’m looking to buy a 2020 scout expert I’m 5ft 10in the website says med and large which would be best?
Daniel Graham-Keighley I’m not 100% sure but it sounds like you’d be right between a medium and large at that height so it would depend if you like a bigger bike to go fast or a smaller one to throw around more maybe

I grew up skating. Got into mtb a bit over a year ago. This video reminds me of the skate videos I enjoyed most. Fuzzy rockin' riffs, dudes with skills not taking them selves too seriously, and rippin' stuff up and having a blast with friends. I've already been considering a Scout as my first bike upgrade. This vid helps seal the deal. 🤘🏻😝🤙🏻
I had the exact same vibe as soon as I saw this video, reminded me of all those Santa Cruz/Powell Peralta vids with a thrashy atmosphere/soundtrack. To me, riding a hardtail is pretty much like skateboarding when it was a crime. It's an attitude (old men will relate:)

Props to Nukeproof for making great such a kick butt hardtail! Aggressive hardtails are so much fun, I sold my short travel FS because I was actually usually faster and having more fun on my HT. Kept my 160mm 29er for more when I want more squish.

I got a 290 race when they started selling like hotcakes, I didn't want to have to wait until next year. I had my heat set on getting a new bike this year, and everyone started buying them up 😂😂
I'm aiming for a 2020 Scout Comp XL next year! I wish it came with the Revelation fork like the similarly priced Vitus Sentier but the frame should more than make up the difference :)
Ok ive decided to get the scout 290, this crushes anything in its class!

What size frames is everyone riding in the video? According to the size chart on Chain Reaction I'm on the upper end of Medium so I'm not sure if I should get a medium or size up to a large (I'm 5' 10.25" with a 31.5" inseam)

Hi guys, i m stuked between two alternatives: 27.5 medium size or 29er medium size that gives you the choice to fit also 27.5+ wheels according to Nukeproof?
Will the 29er medium with 27.5+ wheels feel close to the simple 27.5 medium bike?

I just got mine about a week ago, but because of work I haven’t had a chance to ride it yet, but mine didn’t come with a Pike...just saying
