She will always be one of my very favorite artist ever. Her death hit hard.
Same here, very sad. She was a beautiful woman.
It’s one of those where you always remember where you were when you found out.
Same here ...
It's when life isn't fair. She even performed when she wasn't well up until the end. 😭
Yes not only do i love roxette they are a huge part of memories due to how popular they are
Yes gutted i knew she was extremely unwell but very gutted to hear she passed after long battle
Its like you have lost a family member
Marie had such incredible stage presence her voice her body movements arms and hand gestures and head movements from feeling the music was mezmerising to say the least
Incredible performer and miss her massively, love that we have there music and videos to remember how truly great she was but painful all at the same time
R.I.P. MARIE
Roxette is one of those groups that is so enjoyable to listen to. RIP Marie.
RIP Marie. This is my favorite song by Roxette. Marie’s voice is powerful and clear. A beautiful melody with strong backing from the guitars and keyboards. Thanks for this post.
💯 my favorite as well. The lyrics really get to me. FLAF is a power ballad that pulls back enough to spotlight Marie's vocal. Gone way too soon. 🎉
I'm an old guy. I always enjoy young people discovering music from my era.
And these two kids are my absolute favorites in terms of watching their reactions.
They are both so real, genuine, and wholesome. Kinda makes me feel there's hope for us yet!
I miss when they played these type of songs on the radio..."Must've been Love" by Roxette was my favorite. Getting Older Sucks! Her death shocked me, she was a beautiful woman and her voice was Awesome...Love Ya Guy's!!! God Bless You!!
You just aren't listening to the right stations.
@@jedislap8726There are no right stations.
She was sick for a long time with that brain tumor. Lived long enough for her children to at least have some personal memories of her. Very sad & such a beautiful voice.
"Spending my time" I still dont understand why its so underrated, really shows Marie's range
This song is so beautiful. Marie's voice was so powerful
Jay & Amber, their "Dangerous" was another top 10 hit.
I love the song Dangerous and haven't heard it for years!
Crash! Boom! Bang! and Almost Unreal are two of my favourite Roxette songs ❤
Love crash, boom, bang. It deserves more attention :)
Concerning ''Almost Unreal'', since she's singing the words ''Hocus Pocus'' in the chorus, i always prefer to name it that (''Hocus Pocus'').
''I love when you that hocus pocus to me...''
It's my fav song of theirs. So good.
It should also be noted that she returned to touring with Roxette after her first battle with cancer, very admirable and courageous.
RIP Marie! You were a beautiful soul and amazing talent. This is off the JOYRIDE album, their second release after LOOK SHARP. They showed the world they had the talent to keep it going. Love this band and their music.
Joyride was their 3rd album, Look Sharp their 2nd. Their debut album was Pearls Of Passion released in 1986.
Pearls of Passion 1986
Look Sharp! 1988
Joyride 1991
Tourism 1992

@@BadMoonandStars It was not released in the United States until streaming so this would be the second album we would have the ability to purchase
@@Galactiquities It was not released in the United States until streaming so this would be the second album we would have the ability to purchase
@stevehamilton8824 yes, here in the UK Look Sharp! was technically the first album, released here in 1989. Someone else pointed out it was actually their second album so I thought I'd list them all in order.
An absolutely awesome song! It's got an equally amazing twin of a song called "Spending my Time". Give it a check
Wow one of the best voices to come out of Sweden! Marie Fredriksson she has this beautiful haunting voice. She is a great loss to the music.
This is my favorite by them. So underrated. Even this only has 17K after 3 days. I blast this and speed up in the car.
Spending My Time is my all time fave please check it out! Love how y’all love Roxette they were phenomenal can’t believe she’s gone
My favourite too x
Have you done Dangerous?? That’s another one. The vocals you are looking for I think.
Gosh she is super stunning. I wanted to look like her when I was 12 😂 So sad she’s no longer with us.
No they haven’t
Dangerous is one of the best Roxette vocals all around for both Per and Marie. Great song.
I love their rocky songs most. My faves are "Sleeping in my car" and "She doesn't live here anymore". If you want to hear
all the beauty of Marie's voice, you should listen to "Do you get excited".
Love your Roxette reactions ❤
My favorite song by Roxette! RIP Marie, gone way too soon XOXO
I forgot to say, Frida from ABBA has a duet she made with Marie from Roxette. Its called Alla Mina Bästa År (all my best years). It's a nice track.
Roxette is my metalhead friend’s not-so-secret favourite band! 😆 🎸
I'm hard Rocker, not ashamed to admit I miss this music bieng played on the radio.
So true! I'm a metal fan, and Diehard Roxette fan too!
@@deanburns5101 same
I'm a 30 years metalhead and I adore to roxette
I grew up listening to her solo albums before she hit it big internationally with Roxette. GOAT. R.I.P.
Marie and Dolores were two massively talented singers in rock. I miss both of them. I saw Roxette on their one US tour when I was a teenager, wish so much that they’d maintained some popularity in the Us so I could have seen them again. This has always been a favorite song for me.
this was my first exposure to Rox. So glad RSS has reviewed a bunch of their songs to expose to the younger people. The group has a lot of underrated hits that never hit in the U.S. as much. 747, Nothing On But the Radio, One Wish, Wish I Could Fly, to name a few.
Great to hear you've discovered this great band.
And yep, check out all their songs not just the "hits".
A great catalogue 👍
Plus checkout each of their other projects, you'll enjoy them 😊
You should also check out Crash! Boom! Bang!, a gorgeous ballad by Roxette!
This one is just pure pop!!
PLEASE do Do You Get Excited next??!! Pretty please!! :)
"Paint" from their second album is one of my favorite songs of theirs, definitely worth a listen at some point.
I always loved that song so much! I had the tape and listened to it over and over and over❤️
@@stevenedwards5356 I had the LP and did the same! The old days of buying an album and sitting down and doing nothing but listening to the whole thing a bunch of times. I think streaming has ruined that experience a bit, despite all of its advantages. That, and this whole adulting business :p
Yes! Also Sleeping Single
Best Roxette song EVER. THANKS for doing this reaction. My 🙏 has been answered.
So glad you guys got to this song, it's probably my favorite from Roxette. The video is epic! Especially the shots of my man up in the Stockholm City Hall tearing up that guitar.
This song was HUGE all over the world. It was in the charts here in South Africa for almost a year. It reached #2 in USA back then. Marie Fredriksson's voice can strip paint off the walls, and at the same time seduce a kitten. She just had it all. Marie looking super sexy in this video, that was actually shot in Stockholm. Fantastic song!!!
There’s a good reason why there greatest hits was called ‘Don’t bore us get to the chorus’. Absolutely brilliant band
You can never go wrong with Roxette. They got me through some heartbreaks in my teens.
Roxette. My favorite band of my childhood. Other great songs to recommend: Wish I could Fly, How Do You Do, Crash Boom Bang and Sleeping in my Car.
3 years and still can't get but one of these women on female Fridays! Where's Soul Train when you need it? Come on Amber and give these awesome soul singers some love at least once.... Check out Stephanie Mills hits "I Feel Good All Over" " Comfort Of A Man" and the duet with Teddy Pendergrass "Feel the Fire" Still waiting on you to do other awesome soul singers like Phyllis Hyman(Living All Alone) and the most powerful singer Jennifer Holliday(And I'm Telling You) Betty Wright "No Pain No Gain" Lisa Fisher "How Do I Ease the Pain" Sylvia "Pillow Talk" Angela Winbush "Angel" Evelyn Champaign King "Shame"
Isn't Marie Fredriksson phenomenal?! I'm really hoping your next Roxette reaction will be (Do You Get) Excited. AWESOME song.
I always wished, Marie and Stevie Nicks would do a duo. She is missed. Sultry yet Sweet. Amazing vocal talent. RIP
My favourite by Roxette, and I absolutely adore it !!! .. Marie looks and sounds wonderful here ! ❤
Man, I haven’t heard this song in years and years. I forgot how much I loved Roxette back in junior high. “Joyride” was my favorite, which I know you’ve already done, but I liked everything I heard from them.
Roxette was amazing, so sad she's no longer with us, amazing pair of musicians, so much talent.
My absolute fav Roxette song 😍 RIP Marie ❤
Massive duo for years and years. They have at least 20 hits is Europe and South America. Her voice is so unique and their talent to create great pop/rock songs is just unbelievable. Still a favourite for sure! ❤
They have a best of album called "Don't bore us, get to the chorus". And this is a great example of how powerful their chorus' and hooks were. One of the greats, by far.
The whole song is great, not just chorus!
@@sasapejcin3568 Truth
I love this band all the way back to when my memory starts. Dangerous and the Look were iconic songs. The dude in this band is way talented too
One of my favorite Roxette songs. RIP Marie.
I love everything Roxette and this is one of my favorites from 1991 I think it came out RIP Marie though ❤
My favourite Roxette song of all-time! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Saw them in Concert twice. Great great live show!
Great choice Amber. Their catalogue of works are pretty impressive, pls react to more of their songs. They were massive in SA.
my fave Roxette song! ♥
Such a big fan of Roxette. "Listen to your heart" is a great Roxette song you should listen to.
So happy you reacted to this one. Love this song
One of their underrated songs is ”Almost Unreal” from the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie.
Such a powerful song. Marie was insanely talented!
Another strong female voice ... Headpins from Canada.
RIP Marie, I miss you so much.
Man this was my JAM back in the day. RIP Marie.
Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man - Candy Man (Both Great Horns !!) Also - Lady Marmalad
Annie Lenox (Eurythmics) - Would I Lie to You - I Need a Man - Thorn in My Side

Shikira - When ever Where ever - Objection Tango
Head Pins - Don't it Make You Feel (like Dancing) - Turn it Loud - Just One More Time
Toronto - Your Daddy Don't Know - Start Telling the Truth
Absolute Favorite from Roxette another one would be "Silver Blue"
Amber picked a great one! I think this is my favorite Roxette song! Glad you did this tune.
I love Roxette.. This song is up there on the list of my favs of theirs ❤
You should check out more of Annie Lennox and The Eurythmics. The Eurythmics "Would I Lie To You"
Wow, this song takes me back to Saturday afternoons at the roller skating rink in my hometown. Good times. 😊
Killer Guitar Solo! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Sooo happy you decided to do Roxette again! Like others have said Dangerous is a great track and Dressed for Success. Or Anyone is an absolutely beautiful track. Not sure it was released as a single in the US? But it's a masterpiece! There are some really great album tracks, so perhaps you could react to a live performance? Hotblooded would be a good one. Someone has uploaded a 4K version.
Rosette were huge in the UK at the time. It’s great to revisit them now with everyone. Marie was sensational
The backing vocals make this song for me. Awesome song, awesome group! Hot Blooded is a fun song, Soul Deep is a motown throwback
Love those two songs.
Soul deep from Zurich concert is amazing, around 10 minutes long and Marie and Jonas on Top form 😊❤
A fun Roxette hit is “ How Do You Do ! “
RIP. One of their best songs!
"SPENDING MY TIME"
"DRESSED FOR SUCCESS"
"DANGEROUS"
all great songs
by
Roxette!❤
ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base--the golden three of Swedish Male/female pop groups with addictive pop hooks.
Dressed for success is a great song!!
Amber is gonna LOVE «Crash! Boom! Bang!» For very good reasons, it’s a masterpiece!
The most criminally underrated band of all time. Every song they recorded was a banger. Were talking 200 + songs. They didnt have any bad ones. Some took a bit to warm up to but once you did, the brilliance shined through without fail.
Rest in peace Marie and Pele. Marie was my first celebrity crush and to this day, Roxette is my all time favorite pop band. ♥️♥️♥️
If you really wanna hear her vocal range, Soul Deep. That's the song to start with then Cry.
Joyride was my fave Roxette tune!
Clicked thumbs up straight away even before checking it out. Defo one of, if not my favourite from Roxette 😊
Love Roxette, great music, great duo. Marie left us way too soon.
You have to hear SPENDING MY TIME 😍
I always liked Roxette. One of my faves that was not played on the radio was "Perfect Day". I always play that at the end of a good day.😎
Memory unlocked! I had forgotten about this song.
She was awesome, thank you! You guys rock, so passionate and genuine with your knowledge of music
There's something in the water in Sweden. They've written everything by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys, Nysnc, Britney, Pink, the list goes on
Love this song with Roxette. The mix between soft and rock in their ballads gives them such power.
Greatly missed , beautiful voice
Roxette not only had “their own little space” like J said. They are actually Sweden’s best selling artists of all time, if you don’t count any bands named ABBA. Ace of Base is #3.
You have to hear SPENDING MY TIME. Marie had the voice of an angel and fought her battle right to the end. 😢
Roxette stands as one of the best pop acts to come out of Sweden, next to Abba... Ace of Base ... The Cardigans ...
Of course, now Sweden is famous for hard rock and heavy metal bands... from Europe (the band) in the 80's... Ghost ... Anette Olzen (who recorded 2 albums w/ Nightwish)... In Flames ... Opeth ... Katatonia ... Candlemass ... Hammerfall ... Meshuggah ... Marduk ... Dark Funeral ... The Halo Effect ... Amaranthe ... Dark Tranquility ... Amon Amarth ... At the Gates ... Arch Enemy ... Sabaton ... Watain ... Evergrey ... Therion ... Soilwork ... Unleashed ... Grave ... Pain of Salvation ... Bloodbath ... Nasum ... etc. etc.
My favorite of theirs is Spending My Time, which came right after this one...
Such sweet melancholies... They have made it from joyous "June Afternoon" to my absolute tear-bringer "Anyone".
The best soft song by them I think is still Queen of Rain, really beautiful. You would like it
Breathless by the Corrs. A decent song by a band consisting of a family of three beautiful women and one brother. Give it a reaction!
If you want rockier stuff, then "Hotblooded" is the song for you. There is no official video for it, but the fact that it was the opener on their Joyride world tour says enough
Marie was an opera singer prior to forming Roxette. That is why she had a great voice w/o any tuning; unlike todays singers.
Roxette was huge in Europe before their album debut in the states. The song that introduced the states to them was The Look. Already released in Europe a year earlier.
Their hits worldwide:
The Look
Dangerous
It Must Have Been Love (Pretty Woman soundtrack - breakout song)
Listen to Your Heart
Dressed for Success
Fading Like a Flower
Joyride
How Do You Do
She wasn't an opera singer. She did go to a music school though.
Speaking of Agnetha, she has a lot of solo music worth listening to! I LOVE her duet with Gary Barlow called “ I Should Have Followed You Home”. ❤
This is my favorite by them. I'm glad you reacted to this.
Amber, you are always so spot on with your commentary! I wish Jay would get over this “softer” thing lol. Roxette were a pop/soft rock group, it’s not supposed to sound like heavy metal. 😂
She is an legend in Sweden 🟡🔵🟡🔵rip Marie we love you
This is my top workout playlist song. The girls in my class always had control of the music in gym class for our fitness tests, and it still gets me motivated to this day!😂
Roxette? Almost Unreal
"Hot blooded" I don't think it was a top 10 song but it rocks.
One of my favourite songs RIP m
MARIE
Love Roxette 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉 best reaction 🥰
They do some cracking ballads which add texture to their sound rather than just boom crash
