I have followed mgi's pageants for the last 3 years. Year after year I can see the improvement. This year many good aspects are worth mentioning. 1. Having daily good and personal coverage of girls in different events and locations. This is amazing. It makes the viewers, especially in youtube, hooked and get excited each day. Kudos to the imsider team. Also the viewing is fairly distributed to all candidates possible despite the favorites in socmed. 2. The production is truly a level up (all events). More exposure is given to girls even the bts.from a viewer's perspective, i can sense a grand package. The lighting was great, the backdrop is creative and the venue is convenient. The emcees were engaging (despite the limitations of enunciating the words in English well let alone the accent). 3. Exploring scenic spots and everyday life in Thailand culture are great marketability for tourism. It makes me feel like going there again (ive been to Bangkok and Changmai). 4. The wardrobe of girls for production and swimsuit is also a level up. Even the choreography was amazing. 5. It gives me an impression that the MGI org is truly giving the girls a once in a lifetime experience (especially sisterhood and bomding moments) But, more than this is a true downfall, if not, a scandalous aspect of MGI. 1. From what I see on screen, what I read through the years on comments made public and based on the set up provided on socmed I find Mr. Nawat EXTREMELY CONTROLLING on the entirety of this. Control in a bad sense of the word. A. He is the ultimate judge in every event. B. He needds the be personaly pleased. C. Even if he claims he bases things on 3 B's ( beauty, body and brain) to hail a winner, still his actions are inconsistently proper to being an MGI president. D. He seems to have a childish disposition. He responds to bashers accordingly as if he is not 'cultured'. Lacking 'finis' and elegance (perhaps maturity too). E. He takes things too personal to him that if he didn't like a candidate or he feels overpowered by some exceptional performance of a candidate (this goes to all exceptional girls in many aspects), he can simply pull down that candidate and/or punish the consequence of getting a crown. F. He likes good publicity. But his reactions and uncounseled actions made him less popular and people tend to lose interest in him and his org. His reputation is getting low based on his 'control issues' with things in the pageant especially the judging aspects (this kind is always true in the 19th century). He better improve next time (if there is). Throught it all, MGI may pull a resounding success in production year after year, but until Mr. Nawat BEHAVES like a real man, unprejudiced, relaxed, vibrant and generous, his MGI will always be classified as a minor org, class B if not C, and more franchisees will pull off from the org.. I hope this reaches to him. Im doing this in a very positive light hoping MGI will improve next year in Bali. God bless all.
