You know I’m Thai and I love Thai and Philippine pageant. Only one thing I annoy is why we always mock each other. I love all my Thai queens and also Philippine queens my fav is Pia Cat Fashai Amanda Annchilee. Please don’t fight against each other we are same asian. We are the cool beautiful woman and country.
These ladies are amazing. Every year Thailand is getting braver and stronger. But the Philippines shows that they are real powerhouse. Hope that Philippines get another crown next year❤
I really don't understand why people still compare Philippines and Thailand when it comes to pageant. Philippines is literally a second powerhouse with Venezuela being the first when it comes to number of crowns in Big 4 pageants- not mention the crowns from minor pageants. If people were to consider being an Asian, shouldn't they compare Philippines with India or Japan? They're really strong and has numerous placement in the pageant. Thailand is definitely getting better but I think they're not on the same foot as the Philippines yet- Indonesia or Vietnam would be a fair comparison.
Unfair comparison... Philippines is already a PowerHouse in Asia and to compare them to Thailand is not right because Thailand still has a long road to achieve what Philippines have already proven (I'm talking about major and minor pagents). Philippines in comparison to Brazil Puerto Rico or even Venezuela is the right one as Philippines holds the rank 2 PowerHouse of all pageantry After Venezuela. This is not to diss Thailand but you have to earn your position to be called a PowerHouse of Asia because Philippine Queens have worked hard to establish that and still many of you have been trying to claim that to us. Let's just support one another and stop throwing hates. If its your time then it will come to you.
For me, it’s really a mismatch. Philippines and Thailand cannot be compared to each other, it will honestly be unfair for Thailand to be compared to powerhouse like Philippines since they are still on the process of establishing their country sash in Miss Universe. Thailand can go up against Vietnam or Indonesia. Philippines is Philippines. India is a different topic as they are a “sleeping powerhouse” due to their hit and miss scenario on MU.
The placement streak of Philippines started from Venus Raj. After sending her, MU organization as well as the people began looking forward to Filipinas' performances. Kudos to Filipinos!

I feel like it's only a matter of time until Thailand sends the right girl to the pageant. Philippines has a fluctuating performance in Miss Universe and proved to be strong contenders. I want these two countries in the top 2 someday to be honest.

I just want to mention here Janine Tugonon, Miriam Quiambao, Ariella Arrida, Mary Jean Lastimosa, Maxine Medina and Beatrice Luigi Gomez are natural born Filipino citizen. But still got placed on finalists ranks.
As a Filipino, I would like to say that although there have been ups and downs in the placements of the Filipina and Thai representatives, both countries have been sending incredible woman each and every year. Same applies for the other countries competing for the crown. Even if Thailand has been unplaced in 2021, Anne did an incredible job. Applause for all those phenomenal women for raising their countries' flag at international beauty pageants.
