    Heyyy!! ❣️ This is just Part 1 of my Natural Hair Care Routine. Here is Part 2: czcams.com/video/A6jWQ5t_9Fo/video.htmlsi=WtwBtI8lMd44NCNp

    My routine consists of washing every 7-10 days and deep conditioning with steam on those days. I use a spray leave in conditioner that contains water, glycerine and some conditioning agents. I always finger detangle my hair. I don't use any tools except to part my hair. I generally recycle my parts. After washing and deep conditioning, I then twist my hair with a light butter that contains cupuacu butter and flax seed gel and some other ingredients. I tend to get a lot of breakage when taking down braids, so I stick with twists. I retwist any twists that get super fuzzy before wash day. (retwist as needed). This routine works well for me so long as I don't have any product-related setbacks. Often when I introduce a new product, my hair reacts poorly and tangles up. Again, all of my setbacks have come from introducing a new product. I just got past arm pit and am very close to mid-back length. This is the longest my hair has ever been. I have gotten to armpit as a straight natural, buy my hair was paper thin. This time, my hair has gotten past there being thick luscious. LOL.

      Thanks so much for sharing your routine, it sounds so cool!!! And I love that you've surpassed your plateau stage and even better that it's thick and healthy. Your hair sounds like it loves that routine. Keep going 💪🏾

      Your routine sounds great. The leave-in spray will help moisturize & detangle your hair. The butter will seal in the moisture. The flaxseed gel will gently hold the twists in place. I will try this

      The butter sounds great, do you make it yourself?

    I grew my hair to mid back length then went to a stylist to do a twist and bam she used a small brush on it and my hair is back to shoulder length! So my tip now is avoid hair stylists they are pure evil

    • @Natural2020_
      @Natural2020_  Před 3 měsíci +1

      😯😯😯😯😥😥 oh my gosh! That is really terrible! I can see why you wouldn't want to go back to a stylist. The good thing is you know how to grow it, so hopefully you'll be back to mid-back length in no time.

    New subbie here. Simplicity is the 🔑. I just found out that pre poo for me helps to gentle remove the dead strands so it's a staple for me. Wash in quarters, deep condition, leave in moisturizers, diy oil and butter, twist and that's it. Start over in 2 weeks

    I warmed my grease to liquid state and added castor oil so when it solidified again I was happy. But then I found a grease that had the ingredients I wanted in it😊

    • @Natural2020_
      @Natural2020_  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Omg, I did that too on a small batch. Just to test it and I quite liked it. Which grease do you use now then?

      Haha, I dunno about on point but I have gotten used to it over the years. Cutting out combs and brushes has made it more challenging though. I'll be showing a bit more of my detangling in part 2.

      @Natural2020_  Před 2 měsíci +1

      100% I definitely wouldn't be where I am length wise if it wasn't for keeping my hair twisted and tucking those ends away. Which protective style do you tend to opt for?

    • @JoyBNaturals
      @JoyBNaturals Před 2 měsíci

      @@Natural2020_ I am always a fan of twist but for a while now I've been leaning towards braids simply because I do long term protective styling now and they are very sustainable.
      I'm currently on a six months mini braids challenge😊.

      @Natural2020_  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@JoyBNaturals I can certainly see how braids would be better for longer term protective styling. Wow, the outcome of your challenge will be so awesome 🙌🏽 Keep going 💪🏾

    Razor Empress put me onto grease too, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve also been spraying my hair with aloe Vera juice for a year now and I’ve noticed how moisturizing it is. I will try adding glycerin!

    • @Natural2020_
      @Natural2020_  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Snap! I used to use aloe without glycerin before, I only added it maybe 6months ago when I learned it helps to pull in moisture.

    You have beautiful hair Sis! 💕 That shrinkage is amazing, isn’t it?! 😅 I’ve been thinking about skipping a deep conditioner or even just trying a natural one with Avocado, egg and coconut oil. But yes, consistency is key!! ☺️🌸

    In my routine I deep condition and hydrate once every two weeks then I do strength and hydrate in an alternate week. I use oils and split end cream a couple times a week to moisturize. I have switched to plats and my hair seems to like it. We will see. I keep it covered for the most part but give my hair a chance to breathe. Funny I did try to wash with plats today. I’ve also started vitamins and walking. I haven’t straightened it in about six months so I’ll be doing that and get a trim soon.
    I have that grease.

    I guess with Aloe Vera juice it can dry your hair up so I suggest you deep condition since you shampoo with African black saop and moisturise your hair before applying the grease or with time your hair will be dry and shedding.

    • @Natural2020_
      @Natural2020_  Před 3 měsíci +4

      Thanks for watching. I've been doing this same routine for a while now and my hair has been fine. My aloe mix has glycerin in so remember that helps to pull moisture into my strands. Also my African black soap has oils in it so again it's quite moisturising. My shedding is just a typical amount - I'll show this in part 2.

    I love that grease been using it for years! I normally put bantu knots in my hair but I have to do them every week with plaits my hair needs something to hold my hair down ik your not a professional but I use hair items with no metal will that help me retain my length? Just thinking of trying something new to get tailbone length 😊

    • @Natural2020_
      @Natural2020_  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I've been sleeping on this grease but I've been awakened now lol. Ooh Bantu knots - nice. You would definitely still retain length using combs and brushes. I got to bra strap length using tools, so they're definitely not bad. As long as you're finger detangling first and dealing with any knots yourself, then going in with the comb after, that's fine. 🎉🎉 Your goal tailbone too? Yay!
