I lived in Zurich for three years and had no idea. Transit system in Zurich is perfect, whole Switzerland is the example how to design cities. Happy to hear Zurich trams are having second life in Ukraine. I remember those all trains, still in a good shape. All the best for Ukrainian people.

The economics behind zurichs decision to donate these trams to Vinnytsia is genius. Its like theyve made a trade deal without any legal deal being made. These types of decisions are great for both countries and thier relations.
Zurich gets a friend and to be more circular with their transit organization while Vinnytsia gets a free upgrade, education for their shops, more transit and a great relationship to help push them forward towards a brighter future.

I can just feel with how much love these trams were repaired before they send them over to Ukraine. That said, I'm Colombian and my mom's family is from Medellín, which has one of the oldest urban gondola systems and also public escalators in some super hilly neighborhoods which i think is cool, their transit has been expanding quickly in recent years so a video on that could be interesting. Might also be cool to see a comparison or showcase of the cities the use urban gondolas i think it's become popular lately
I lived in near new york city when i was little so transit in that area is always interesting to me, same with transit in texas, since i also lived in the dfw area, and transit in california, which is where i live now
but i think it's also cool to learn about new places i've really enjoyed your content and learning more about transit in eastern europe, it's not a common perspective so i appreciate you sharing it

the tram 2000s that have already arrived in Vinnytsia would have started their journey more than 1 year earlier if serious reasons had not prevented it. perhaps the third series of tram 2000s will also be delivered to Vinnitsa? they have a low-flying middle carriage.
are the technical requirements in Lviv identical to Vinnytsia? there was a report recently that Lviv is also to receive trams but still has to make technical clarifications.
