  • I like to take my Jeep out on trails around Oregon and since this is a new Jeep to me, I've already got in the back of my mind to not push it because of I get stuck, I have no way to recover. To help remove some of this hesitation I went out and bought some Rough Country Forged Red Tow Hooks. In this video I'll be reviewing these tow hooks as well as unboxing and installing them.
Below is the full parts list for everything that you're going to need to do this job.
    Tools needed:

Excellent video! Here’s a solid question. You have a 2013 jeep grand Cherokee, installing rough country hooks. Rough country does not make a tow hook for the 2011-2014 grand Cherokee. That said, did you purchase the RS 133 (essentially the 2015 and beyond hood) and it worked without modifications?

Yes. Purchased the RS133 and they worked without modification. Check behind the facia and make sure you have the tow hook inserts and that your facia has the pop out tow hook part and you should be good to go.

It's all WK2. RC more made these as an alternative to the OEM hooks of the Trailhawk which was introduced with the 2015 model year, and stopped there as opposed to using any logical deduction. The frame aint change in 2015 lol

description in amazon said it's fit for 2015-2019 only, but as per your video it fits 2013 as well. Mine is 2012,should be ok then

Yup. Mine is a 2013. You should check behind the front fascia to be sure you've got the two slots that I showed in the video, but if they're there, it fits like a glove. Also make sure you've got the two pop outs on the front fascia or else you'll have to cut holes in the fascia. Please buy using my links! Supports me buying more stuff and making more videos.

It looks like the hooks don't stick out far enough

They stick out far enough. I've actually already used these a few times. To pull out a 4 Runner that was stuck and was blocking the trail as well as to get pulled out myself out of some snow.
