    Unsure why the bass drum beater is showing on the picture whilst these days with the organ on the gallopers it’s on the other round.

      None whatsoever - back in the 1960's and '70s some considered Mortier organs to be inferior, and hence they were falsely paraded around as being made by Gavioli. Some Mortiers were also sold as Gaviolis, no doubt for an inflated price! Mortier himself though did work for Gavioli, before setting up his own company.

      Its a Mortier playing on an extended 68 key Bursens scale,sounds nothing like this now.

      Mortier gained a licence to produce and assemble 87 key Gavioli organs,they sounded a little different to the Paris made organs.The ex Dan Shorey organ is a Mortier made organ and sounds different to say Tom Mayhew's ex William Beach 87 key Switchback gavioli.
