    Thank you everyone for all of the comments and discussion! Since so many of you have shared that Brinkley does in fact have "options" for CPAP users, I'm just going to address them in this pinned comment rather than keep responding to new comments about this topic. Several people, including Brinkley, have said two things:
    1. If you get the Queen bed you get nightstands
    2. They make an optional CPAP shelf that's wider
    I have issues with both:
    1. I want a King
    2 a. Even with a wider shelf, there's still no outlet up there above the bed and having wires dangling down from over my head to around the edge of the slide sounds like a recipe for disaster. CPAP's aren't USB-powered, they use 3-prong plugs and a power converter brick like most laptops do.
    2 b. I don't want my CPAP sitting above my head either. There's a hose that runs down to the mask portion I wear on my face and the last thing I want is a bunch of that hose getting tangled up in my pillow or wrapped around my neck, etc.
    2 c. My CPAP is also full of water, so I definitely don't want that getting tugged and falling down on me at night. I also have to refill it nightly, so it needs to be easily accessible.
    Having to wear a CPAP at night isn't a luxury, it's not a nice-to-have item, it's not something that we can just work around, it's a medical device that _literally_ keeps me alive at night. It's important to me that it is considered and has a suitable place next to my bed. My current RV has a king bed in a slide barely (if at all) wider than the one in this Brinkley and it has nightstands large enough for my CPAP machine as well as outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. It's not an impossible ask and there are real, pre-existing solutions to this issue.
    The last thing we *all* want to see is a brand new company falling into the same traps and templates that the other RV companies that have been around for decades are in. All RVers see new companies (notably Alliance a few years ago, now Brinkley) as an opportunity for new ideas, new floorplans, new features, new creature comforts, new everything. It is disappointing when we see a new company hit the scene with the same layouts and the same compromises in the same places. New is good, new is needed, new is _possible_ .

      As for me owning a 3610 who doesn’t use a cpap. The 3610 is absolutely perfect for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. I guess I’m watching your one sided biased reviews based on your life style. Like stated our 3610 is perfect for us and we full time, actually haven’t found anything I would change about ours. Similar layouts as others but quality, fit and finish are far superior than the others

    Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback and touring the Z3610. Good news, with the optional queen bed, you get nightstands. There are also CPAP extension shelves available. The Z3110 now includes a second step/handle on the top bunk for early feedback. The Z295 AIR's TV is on a large articulating bracket. Feedback is very important to our process of continuous product improvement. We're looking forward to your next Brinkley RV review.

    You need to focus on how it's constructed first, then layout. You can have the most perfect layout in the world however if it falls apart it doesn't matter how great the layout is. I inspect RVs for a living and IMHO a majority of potential buyer's are looking at the wrong things !
    Good luck !

    The lady's weight loss is transformative! Please don't count me as shallow, but I went through a significant, spontaneous weight loss myself. Thus, I know whereof I speak. I am only an occasional viewer, so I am not familiar with her back story, and no offense is intended. But, she looks great! I hope there was no medical condition involved (as I went through). Otherwise, your hubby should be proud, and inspired. Great video of the smaller trade show which was right in my wheelhouse. Keep up the great work. Thanks to both for a job well done.

    I am with you about the CPAP access in ALL RV's. One of the first things I look for is CPAP access, then it is if the bathroom and fridge are accessible with the slide in. I like to go look whenever we have an opportunity.

    My sister in law has the apex. She actually takes her 5 boys, husband and a dog across country in that. They put a bed under the bunk by removing the storage and the 2 youngest sleep on the dining room table/bed. I couldn’t do it. Way too small.

    We bought a Forest River Flagstaff in 2021. There are only 2 of us. But one thing that sold us was there is a nightstand on one side of the bed and a dresser on the other side. Plus the bed is centered in the room so for those midnight bathroom runs I don't have scoot to the foot of the bed!!

  • @kentfyfe8200
    @kentfyfe8200 Před 4 měsíci +2

    Several users have added a nice shelf under the lip of the bed (lots of room for one on a king) for a CPAP on the Brinkley's. They should always be at or below head level anyway and given the power plug right there it makes a lot of sense. Have seen a few that have added a strap to hold it in place for travel as well.
    Also, the bathroom pocket doors do lock open (and lock closed) you have to just push down on the handle lock. Works very well - locks closed and open. Much better than our previous GD's where locked open on travel with a nap lock across it and no lock when shut and in use.

      Ya, sitting back there facing the water made it all worth wild. No regrets. And other than a few minor trim problems, nothing of note has gone wrong. Knock on wood. And my Cpap sits on the small wooden drawer stand next to my bed. The plug is on the side of the bed near the floor on that side, Kinda like I have in my home.

    Re: the Brinkley 5th wheel
    I always question why they don't raise the windows in the wall on each side of the bed.
    And add 6 inches to the width for a side table, dang it.
    How about making the slide on the dresser side (of an E/W bedroom and then put side tables at the wall on each side?!
    The guy who didn't like the layout probably was looking for the front living. Not everyone likes every layout.

    My wife and I do the same as the “nope” guy. If it’s a rear living/kitchen I won’t even look. I know they make 10 bajillion of them, but it’s just not to my taste. I like the ones with separation of the rooms, like a front living, step down to kitchen/dining, and then bedroom. Or something similar. I’m with y’all on the tiny shelves- we always laugh about rv exec’s/designers who apparently don’t use phones or tablets. I wish there was a Class C like the first one that wasn’t Thor- that was a great layout!

    We recently looked at the Brinkley Z3610 and really liked it but had the same concerns with the king mattress in the bedroom and no bed-side storage. The sales person told us you can get a queen mattress that comes with nightstands, and the Brinkley website confirms this. @@Five2Go I disagree, what would you give up for nightstands without extending the length - which would also mean a longer slide (more weight)? I personally prefer more living room and kitchen space. Also, the shelves over the bed have an optional add-on for CPAP. Did you know the dresser turns into a desk?

      @@billosborn9600 Thank you. You are correct. It's about a foot longer to squeeze nightstands in with a king bed and CPAP extension shelves are available.

    People are starting to catch onto the shallow veneer hiding Brinkley's flaws and rote plagiarism. A healthy dose of skepticism would benefit potential customers. The lock step, knee jerk love by vloggers has no basis in reality. Did you ever bring a new girl/boyfriend home to meet the 'rents? Sometimes, immediate rejection by them turned out to be accurate a few weeks or months later on. It's good that you're giving Brinkley the same scrutiny your parents gave your latest high school infatuation.

      @Five2Go  Před 4 měsíci +1

      If anything, the higher prices and extra focus on features and build quality makes us more likely to criticize what we're seeing. If I walk into a million-dollar motorhome and they made it so the shower door doesn't open all the way because it hits the toilet, you can be sure I'm going to call that out. On the other end of the spectrum, in those cheaper little single-axles we expect cheaper materials and corner cutting so if the sink is awful it's more of a "that's not hard to replace if it's important to you" vs. "they shouldn't have done this at this price point".

    We looked at Brinkley hard, while at the tampa show and interviewed Brandon the Brinkley guy. They are pretty, but not practical. I missed somewhere why are you guys looking at a fifth wheel, i know you are selling your rig, but why the big change. We switched from our solitude 35 feet to a reflection 33 feet last month, we have to loose a lot of weight. Larry

    Breaking news Resmed sells usb cpap adapters. Shocking I know. I’m not saying that this review seems biased against Brinkley, wait actually I am saying that. Go buy a scam design and get yourself some free frame failure included with that nightstand. You can see that bias when they talk about the east to west how they like it and all of a sudden now they’re OK with the CPAP on the floor come on man. Lol😂 but let’s let a $30 CPAP extension shelf Stop you from buying quality RV.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  Před 3 měsíci

      I’m not biased against Brinkley, I just don’t believe they should get a pass for being the new guys that are supposedly working with fulltimers for design and layout ideas. I’m just not seeing the innovation that others are claiming. When we do these show videos we aren’t digging into build quality much beyond what we can see and touch, it’s more about floorplans. Drop-down knife drawers are cute and all, but they have had a chance to do new and truly interesting things but just haven’t really delivered. Also, just as another thing to keep in mind when you’re watching review videos: if someone can’t find any faults with an RV, no matter the brand or cost, they’re either lying to you or are working with that company.

  • @rob3812
    @rob3812 Před 4 měsíci

    Brinkley is off the list because of a little shelf above a window. Makes sense to take it off the list and sacrifice quality because of a shelf that will create a larger bed, closet and more storage.

    • @Five2Go
      @Five2Go  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Check out the pinned comment on this video for some more context. The issue isn’t as simple as “just a little shelf” - there are some very real concerns with this style of bedroom that Brinkley and others are selling.

    We all have different needs and likes. For me , WiFi and chargers NEVER belong near where sleeping. The body needs to balance and WiFi is HARMFU! to our electromagnetic biology. I understand that people like their flashy tech, BUT do the deep dive and research and you will find what I say to be true. Also nix the microwave oven. Just truth and health
